Craftsteak - MGM Grand Ratings and Reviews
I have to say that I was underwhelmed by our dinner at Craftsteak. The menu was complete and easy to understand. You have several different levels of beef to choose from and they have a tasting menu that starts around $130 per person. Our main waiter was very good and very attentive. That said, they need some staff training. Two of the service staff were talking about shifts and problems with the management right in the middle of the restaurant. The salad that we ordered was seriously overdressed and very vinegar forward. While the wine list is extensive, it is really high priced. I just felt like it was too high end of a restaurant to miss some of the little things.
We visit LV once a year and love to try new restaurants. This was, by far, our favorite selection out of all of our Vegas trips. We did a ton of research on great steakhouses fit for foodies. We had our choice narrowed down to 3 based on reading many reviews. Once out there, we asked around and were told by locals that Craftsteak would not disappoint... and it didn’t. This was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make it an extraordinary experience. In addition, the food didn’t disappoint. Everything tasted as good as it looked. We could not have been happier!
We were so disappointed! We had very high expectations and it did not deliver. The steak was dry and bland. The Brussels were basic. The best part of the meal was the French fries. We spent a lot of money for a meal on NYE that just didn’t measure up. We are pretty sophisticated diners and have many experiences to compare it too. Not a good experience!
Very good food, rare menu items. I like the variety. The all course in package dinner looked awesome but we were able to buy separate items that we wanted and it was under the package. The steak portion on the filet was generous, It recommend the sweet potato side. Great service, made our night very special.
It is, simply put, the best steak you will ever have, coupled with awesome sides, fabulous service, and an ambience that encourages relaxation. It is my favorite place to eat. This is my third time at Craftsteak. I was going to Vegas for my husband’s first time and I wanted him to have an amazing meal. Unfortunately, since it was so close to Christmas, they were closing for break and had a very limited menu. Needless to say, meal was good but did not live up to my expectations. My husband was disappointed which is no bueno on my date night! Service was superb!
Just make aure there is a full menu available for your experience.
We were very excited to visit this place, however our experience was very disappointed: the place was out of almost every side dish and steak we wanted to order; messed up our wine order; the service was not attentive, and the food was tasted like it came from Outback Steakhouse. Not worth of a visit at all...Also, the day before we stopped at another Tom Colicchio's place in Mirage - Heritage Steak, and it was one bad experience with the customer service as well - very slow and very rude people work there. Have I mentioned I was a fan of Tom Colicchio...
Outstanding experience as usual. Craftsteak is one of our favorite restaurants. When going to Vegas to celebrate our 10th Anniversary, the first reservation we made was at Craftsteak.
We did the Chef’s Selection, which is our usual and it did not disappoint. Trees a few new things this time as well - steak tar tar which was fabulous; cucumber and water cress salad - so refreshing; our meal also included lobster bisque; the rolls which are so yummy I️ make an exception and throw caution to the wind and eat the gluten anyway; the warm frisée salad, wonderful as usual; lobster poached in butter, filet mignon and rib eye steaks; the Yukon gold purée is so nice my husband doesn’t even add salt or pepper; the mushrooms were wonderful as always; the asparagus was good but honestly was a little woody; the assortment of deserts was wonderful too!
Such a great dining experience and a great way to celebrate our anniversary.
The food was good but a little over priced. We were there celebrating her birthday and sadly she found a hair in her food after eating over 1/3 of it and then did not want to eat any more. We did not say anything because we were with a group of friends and she did not want it to become a scene or be “the talk” for the evening with our group and/or diminish the celebratory atmosphere. The room we were in was kind of loud too. The servers were on top of it and made sure everyone had what they needed though.
We were disappointed as when the steaks came, the skillets were slightly warm and so were the meats. We had to ask the servers to reheat the steaks. Also the seriver was pushy when we wanted 3 sets of steaks for 5 people, countered with it not being enough and so.we.took her recommendation and we had an entire meal leftover. When you staying in a hotel room, left overs are not worth taking back. At $130 and $170 per person it was a waste. Don't let them talk you ordering too much. Also, check the steaks when it comes to you as warm steaks are.terrible. Not going back again.
We ate here before a show at the MGM ... honestly, for the price, I wasn't terribly impressed, but overall things were good. I would recommend this restaurant although I probably won't return. My selection was less than great, but my wife's food was very good and other food around the table at our business dinner looked fabulous. This is definitely a popular spot and the menu has a lot of selections that I didn't try. Hoping my "average" experience was only due to my food selection. Cheers!
