Craftsteak - MGM Grand
Always a wonderful experience when we go there. Food quality and service are first rate.
Food was amazing. Had the 18oz rib eye and short ribs (wow on the short ribs, so tender just falls apart). Brussel sprouts, potato purée, and cauliflower. To end with the monkey bread and tea. Everything was amazing I just wish I had more room to eat the big portions.
Excellent as always
Bone in rib eye was tasteless and tough. Vegetable sides were overcooked and odd tasting. Not worth anywhere near the price.
The food and service were both excellent as always......the seats we were stuck in were deplorable.
It was a bench style seat that you could not get in or out of without bother the person next to you and having them move. Felt very awkward and uncomfortable during the whole meal.......I wouldn't want the same seats if my meal was paid for........
Overall wonderful dining experience
Phenomenal food with equally matched service
It was very poor service. The hostess and manager were extremely rude. We had to wait for our table for at least an hour with a reservation. We will not return.
This was our first visit. We’ve enjoyed a number of excellent steakhouses in LV and elsewhere and wanted to try Craftsteak since we were staying at the MGM Grand.
Except for the 25 minute delay in seating us, and the fact that we had requested a quieter table in the restaurant but were sat in the middle of the restaurant, we found the food and one of our 3 servers to be excellent while the other two were just adequate.
We ordered a nice Russian River Pinot Noir which was one of the more reasonably priced wines on the menu. Prices seemed rather steep as most wines ranged from $125-350 and dozens well more expensive on the lists.
We ordered the Caesar salad and the spinach salad, half orders which were just the right size leaving room for our side dishes of asparagus and potatoes, both excellent.I had hoped that the Caesar would be sliced in bite size morsels, but it was not. The added anchovy and the dressing were both excellent. My wife enjoyed her spinach salad.
We both ordered the angus rib eye grilled medium and it came to the table in their own pans with an onion and au jus. They were cooked to perfection and were excellent.
We finished the meal with the house special for dessert, sticky buns with a side of small vanilla ice cream. They were both great. We also ordered American coffee which was perfectly brewer in a French Press left at the table for refills, a nice unexpected treat.
We will come back in the future.
Don't buy the photographs. Did not get all the ones I paid for when the employee bagged them up.
Every time we go to MGM we have to eat at Craft Steak. The food is always delicious and the service is outstanding. They have the BEST lobster bisque!! This time we split our food which was a lot of food for 2 people but so worth the money!! I did not like the salad but my husband did but everything else was delicious!!
Did was very god but not outstanding.
Outstanding place.....best place to eat food is perfection.......outstanding service
Excellent food and service
The steak just was just not up to the quality we had grown to love from here. Unfortunately its the same issue we had last time too.
The service and ambience was great. All three steaks ordered by our table were less than great. They fell way short of our expectations. They were reasonably flavorful but were very chewy. One was over cooked a bit.
Being that all they were somewhat tough I would not go back nor would I recommend this restaurant to someone else.
I loved my waygu ribeye, but my husband's NY strip steak was significantly under seasoned, and we were greeted more by the paid photographer than the 3 servers.
Everything was great
meals were prepared to perfection. service was a little confusing with people coming from all directions to, take empty plates, deliver full plates, filling water glasses, delivering bread, ect. just too many people coming and going from a table of 2. other then that, the meals were fantastic. seafood was fresh, and the lobster bisque was exceptional! My wife doesn't normally finish, but she did here. will be coming back. very nice.
We had a nice evening, the service was very good. The music in the background was pretty loud and rock and roll which is fun but odd at a fancy restaurant, we though maybe classical or violin was more appropriate. So it was the most expensive meal we have ever had $250 for the two of us, so the expectation was high for quality. My wife's steak was overcooked but still tasty, the side dishes were so over priced for $16 dollars the asparagus was the same as I would make at home :( We enjoyed are evening and you will too, just bring a wad of cash and watch it go away :)
Best place to eat in Las Vegas! We make sure when we come to Vegas, Craftsteak is on Open Table reservation list!!
Great steakhouse with a posh vibe. Steaks were cooked perfectly and of high quality. Starters and apps were also great. Price is a bit high, but you’re in Vegas, so you have to leave the strip for something more reasonable.
Sea bass dinner was amazing. Definitely try a key lime martini!
David made our first experience a fantastic one! He just asked a couple of questions and the rest was magic. It is my new favorite place in Vegas!! Thank you David
Craftsteak deserves all the 5 star reviews. It’s a beautiful restaurant with excellent food. Beyond that, what really stood out to us was the impeccable service. We enjoyed the entire experience and would return often if we lived nearby. Go, you won’t be sorry!
Good food good service, wine is too expensive
Steak was tough. Came out warm not hot. Comped it but we didn’t want to wait for another steak with rest of party finished with meal. Won’t come back
I won't visit Las Vegas without having a meal at Craftsteak. In a city full of outstanding steak houses, this one shines head and shoulders above. Every aspect is exceptional, and the service reminds me of the finest establishments on the east coast. Everything is well-prepared and the attention to detail is outstanding. I've been coming here for many years, and the quality and consistency is exceptional. None better!
Food delicious -- Service impeccable!! Normally, I would ALWAYS order a steak but I wanted something light because we were headed to a show. The scallops didn't disappoint -- and the brussels sprouts incredible!! I had a little taste of everyone's meals, steak, short ribs, lobster bisque, carrots . . all delicious choices. The staff was helpful in recommending dishes and they made sure we out in a timely manner to reach our show. My only regret, not spending more quality time enjoying the meal and atmosphere. We will definitely return on a future visit.
We have eaten a Craftsteak before but always with large groups. This my first time attending for a date night.
Husband and I had the Chefs Beef Selection. There was so much food! Loved the mozzarella salad. Loved the butternut squash. I am not a huge beef lover but Hubby is and he really enjoyed his cuts. Desserts were fabulous. Coconut ice cream was very refreshing after a big meal.
Our server was awesome. Our booth was great. I love that it is fancy for a night out but casual enough to be comfortable. If I had one complaint, it would be the photos. They were expensive and a bit cheesy. I couldn’t stop laughing at the poses.
Overall it was a fabulous experience and we will be back again.
First Rate in every aspect of overall Fine Dining Experiences.
Our service team was incredible. We tried the tasting menu and we were blown away. The steak was the best we ever had. There was way too much food! Highlights were the domestic wagyu filet, the domestic wagyu strip steak, the lobster, and monkey bread, and the crane brûlée. It was an expensive meal, but definitely a treat if you’re celebrating a special occasion or winnings in the casino.
Overpriced steaks and wine, ask for a table in the main dining room, we were seated in the bar area, people continuously walking by watching you eat
Our bill was 275$ for 2 people, definitely expensive and not the best steak for the 60$ and up price
Wonderful dinner and atmosphere! The braised short ribs were amazing!
Joe is the best table lead ever! Every steak is unique and different.
This is a go to place for us in Vegas! I bring clients here and my wife and I eat here too. Best steak house and service.
Great food as always! Service is exceptional
Tasting menu at Craftsteak is amazing, but come with a very empty stomach as there is soooo much food. Apps, salads, steaks, sides, desserts, oh and those rolls (so yummy). Highly recommend it. Third time dining here and still love it. Sharon on the waitstaff is a delight, as are all the servers I’ve interacted with.
Food & service was outstanding as usual. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Will be back in 2030!
