My husband and I went to Craft on a Saturday evening at 6pm, with reservations made ahead of time. We arrived early but were seated quickly anyway. When we first walked in we were greeted by Mes, and he turned out to be our server for the evening. Mes was the best server we have ever had and it turned out to be the best dining experience we’ve ever had because of his hard work. We started with some cocktails which were mixed expertly, followed by Grilled Octopus and Hamachi Crudo for our first course. The flavors were incredible and the texture of the octopus was perfectly tender while still being crispy on the outside. We ordered our entree to share family style, choosing the Olive Oil Poached Halibut and the Seared Scallops with roasted fingerling potatoes and sautéed greens. Mes paired wine for our meal, choosing a white for my husband and a red for me, and it was the perfect compliment to the flavors of the Halibut and Scallops. We finished up with the Spiced Sugar Doughnuts and the Peanut & Chocolate Torte for dessert. My husband got a Port and I ordered an espresso martini, which was the best one I’ve ever had. Every single item we chose was delicious and executed expertly, but the definite highlight of the evening was the service. Mes guided us through each choice, never steering us wrong and giving informative suggestions along the way. It was evident that he loved his job and loved creating an enjoyable experience for his guests. As someone who has worked in the industry for 10+ years, having service like we had inspires me to work to that same level.

We've gone to Craft for years and our most recent visit was to celebrate the end of our restaurant quarantine. As was as wonderful as it was pre-pandemic.

Really fantastic food, only complaint is that our the bottom of our bread was burned (as in charcoal black burned). The oil poached halibut and short ribs were both crazy good.
A great restaurant and concept - The best prep for each type of food. So glad they’re back. The only drawbacks were value (it’s expensive!) , and that the menu has stayed stuck with the classics. We need some of that collicio creativity to refresh it back to greatness

It had been several years since my last meal at Craft and I am happy to report that the food is just as outstanding. Four of us had dinner on June 9th and for my three guests it was their first experience. Standouts were the short rib, the double pork chop, the whipped potatoes, mushroom risotto and heirloom tomato salad. We also had oysters and selected two types - from Wellfleet, MA and from Nova Scotia. Cocktails were AMAZING - I had the "Shine On" with house made grapefruitcello that was life changing and delicious. Service was good overall - one issue was that after opening and pouring each guest some of the wine I ordered, the server moved the wine to somewhere else and did not return to refill glasses for a very long time. The same thing happened with the second bottle of wine. I had to flag down other staff to find our wine each time and refill empty glasses. This was not ideal.
Food was very disappointing and over priced for the quality and portions. Every single thing we ordered was just OK. Grilled octopus was fine, sauce was a bit puzzling. Braised short ribs was ok but way over priced for something that's probably just been stewing in a pot all day, and tasted like it. And portion was very small considering the price. Scallops were not fresh at all and undercooked. We barely touched it and the staff was nice enough to take it off the check. They felt bad and gave us complimentary dessert which was probably the best thing we ate there. All in all, you're definitely paying for the name and ambience here, not the food.

Defintely one of New York's top restaurants. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent: the duck was well-made and plentiful, and the desserts were ordinary but excellent in flavor.
Nice room, friendly staff. Mushroom risotto was particularly good.

Absolutely fantastic experience from the time we walked in to the very last bite! It was my fiancé’s birthday and I let the front of house know upon arrival thinking perhaps a desert or something and they printed a special menu with a birthday wish printed on top in a matter of seconds!! It was a little thing but made the evening so much more special. The service was phenomenal aligned with the quality of every dish!! Thank you all for a fantastic evening!! We work nearby shall be back!

I highly recommend the donuts for dessert. Add a scoop of ice cream. Wonderful disappointed they didn’t have the bone marrow in pictures. Limited menu due to COVID. But disappointing there. Still the food was good. Would go again
After this many years , Craft continues to surpass all expectations in regard to food quality, service and ambiance. Everything was perfect - from the “Perfect Manhattan”, wine selection, tender calamari, scrumptious scallops, delectable artichokes, and a chocolate soufflé that would make any Parisian restaurant envious. Bravo Chef Tom!!

Craft never fails! I don’t know if it’s because of Covid, and I haven’t had a restaurant meal in a long time, but this was one of the best meals I have ever had! The cocktail was outstanding, the vegetable sides were each spectacular, and the pasta with ramps, simply delicious. I’m going to have to eat at Craft regularly! 😊 Thank you!

I surprised my husband with dinner here for our 10th wedding anniversary because he is a huge fan of Tom Colicchio and wanted to eat here for years. It was everything we imagined and more. The service was phenomenal and the food was amazing. Chef Colicchio even came to our table to say hello and talk to us for a few minutes. I couldn't think of a single negative thing to say, everything was truly perfect.
