The food is consistently excellent here. I have never been disappointed. Craft is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and I am a local. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Thank you always for a good meal!
Very nice staff, prompt service. Lovely neighborhood gem. Would visit again.
Beautiful, comfortable room, excellent hospitality, excellent food and presentation.
Three friends Restaurant Week lunch - several entree choices, but none really mouthwatering. Appetizers better than entrees. Nice place, service good, but wouldn't return based on what was ordered. Other RW menus much better.
Food unremarkable. Maybe it was restaurant week lunch being pumped out and not particularly special. I won't remember this meal.
My best New York meal in a while. Beautiful, in season ingredients prepared in simple but sophisticated ways. Professional servers with great suggestions. Solid wine list that won’t break the bank. What’s not to love. Three of shared: pasta with fennel and sweet corn, duck, skate, sweet corn and the mixed mushrooms. Desert we shared a strawberry cake with sweet corn ice cream. Started with a great G&T, Wine was a Cab Franc and a sweet Riesling for desert. Everything was good...esp the sides.
Definitely coming back for lunch, excellent service.
This is a lovely restaurant with impeccable service. The restaurant week main course portions on everything except the burger were really small—appetizer sized. I’m not a big eater but even I noticed it and my male guest left hungry I suspect. Silly approach to restaurant week especially for such an elegant place.
Our 41st anniversary dinner was one of the finest meals we have ever had. We were greeted by name, had personalized menus, ordered the tasting menu with wine selections, and experienced a meal well worthy of the restaurant’s reputation. We loved it and will happily return. For NYC, prices were moderate for the exceptional experience.
Waitress was helpful. The Arugula salad DELICIOUS. All of the staff acknowledged my husband’s birthday making the experience very personal including a customized menu with his name and a birthday dessert. Great evening.
I celebrated my friends birthday there. We had an amazing experience. The food was excellent, there customer service was excellent. I was served by more than one waiter and they asked if we are okay all the time. Overall a great place to eat. I am going back!!!
We love Craft in LA so were excited to try it in NYC and it did not disappoint! Love that everything on the menu is fresh and cooked perfectly and meant to shake. Service was wonderful! Wine recommendations were on point! Will definitely return when we are in town!
Everything was great
Great food and excellent service (Edward). Sensitive to food allergys. Excellent wine list. Pretty atmosphere.
Loved it. Restaurant week part was a bargain but seriously over price beverages for my taste, but that being said everything about the place was perfect. Especially our waitress wish I could remember her name. She was a thin, young and very sweet woman with a South American or maybe Caribbean accent. Just lovely
I’m a fan of cooking shows. One of my aim was to delight myself with most if not all of the New York chefs cuisines.
I was thoroughly impressed from the start with the beet salad. It was exquisite and refreshing. Frequently I see pork belly being a challenge on the different shows and wonder ‘why would anyone want to eat a slab of fat?’ I know now, it was incredibly delicious.
I just wish desert was included, to which I indulged anyway. Thanks for the experience.
Delicious food. Great restaurant week menu. Hope to go again soon. Really top notch food and love the atmosphere.
The restaurant week menu appeared to be hit or miss. Enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad and peach tart, but the poussin was quite uninspired. Comfortable, modern decor.
A disappointment. My husband and I went to lunch during NYC restaurant week. The appetizers were lovely--an heirloom tomato salad and tuna tartare. The entrees were not up to the standard we expected at Craft . The burger was ordinary and the poussin (little chicken) was rubbery, tough and tasteless. We received a credit for 1 main dish, a very nice way of handling the problem, but we would have much preferred an excellent meal.
I came for Restaurant week and it was perfect. Great choice, delicious and beautiful restaurant. What else to ask for?
Best restaurant week menu in the city by far. Tons of options and executed flawlessly, as always. Will continue recommending Craft any chance I get.
Came from Buffalo for dinner and a game tomorrow. Craft did not disappoint. The meal, the service and the staff are true class.
Superb dining experience a
Our son has been wanting to go for 10 years. He got a trip to NYC and gift certificate to Craft for his 21st birthday. His words: Spectacular! Best. Meal. Ever.
We went to Craft for dinner with friends. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. The service was exceptional, sommelier was quite helpful. The food is simply prepared but beautifully presented and every dish hit a mark above ordinary. The mixed mushrooms, gnocchi and apricot tart tatin were outstanding. The prices are a little high but I will return to Craft soon.
We celebrated our 20th anniversary at Craft, and it felt as though the entire staff was personally invested in our having a memorable night. From the moment we sat down and were handed that evening's menu with "Happy anniversary" printed at the top to dessert, where our plate echoed those good wishes in chocolate, we were delighted by one thoughtful touch after another. It was all so, yes, crafted. As for the meal itself--grilled octopus, sauteed scallops, and shishito peppers--sublime.
Went here for Restaurant Week. Lunch is now only a 2-course meal. I had the beef tartare (horrible) and the steak (very good, but small portion). There was a short wait despite a reservation. The server was friendly and efficient. Maybe the quality and quantity are better when it's not Restaurant Week. It was a disappointing experience.
Very tasty but not super exciting. Lovely ambiance, more space between tables than in most restaurants. Manager did an amazing job with a prickly guest.
Food was delicious. The only complaint is after we payed the manager mentioned they still have guests to seat and they needed the table. Was raining and we were waiting for the Uber to get there. Manager said there where plenty on taxis outside, no exactly right since was raining. Very disappointed about that.
I asked for a table by the window (there were about 5 available), but was told by a somewhat stern looking hostess that “we have a table for you in the back”. I couldn’t help but feel I was being hidden away, and it definitely colored my perception of the place. Food was very good. I would definitely recommend the Peach Tarte Tatin for dessert. The lobster roll was okay.
My drink and dessert were only things good to eat. The soup, prawns and skate were all over salted. Macaroni was ok. Our waiter tried his best to accommodate us, but it couldn’t be helped! Very disappointing, because the menu looked fabulous.
On a warm evening, the AC was not working and the restaurant was warm and uncomfortable.
The tasting menu was perfect -- delicious selections and good portions.
Great local restaurant with excellent food and service. All the staff was so welcoming and kind and the food presentation and taste above par. Highly recommend!
I've generally enjoyed eating at Craft though this last meal was less than satisfying (my wife adds "except for the dessert!"). Satisfaction is of course weighed against the price and Craft is not the cheapest place on the block, and this time it just wasn't what it should have been. My duck breast was a bit tough and flatly seasoned, while my wife described her sea bass as "perfectly competent, but not more". A side dish of beans with tomato sauce was borderline unedible -- too salty -- and they kindly removed it from the bill without being asked. Service was excellent, as usual.
Really enjoyed lunch at Craft. Will go back again, next time for dinner
Craft... is like home.
Great food. Pricey. Outstanding cocktails and wine list. Great atmosphere.
Nothing to write about. It was good. Great restaurant but not something worth returning to.
