So the food was magical and the ambiance remarkable. And all the support staff from the woman who greeted us to all food and drink runners to the woman who checked our coats were friendly and attentive. Our main waiter seemed stand offish. We waited awhile for him and when he was there he was dismissive. This was our first time to Craft and as Austin foodies we came to New York for the cuisine but top of our list was coming to Craft. I cannot stress enough how amazing the scallops were and we both agreed that before that meal neither my wife nor I knew peas could tast so remarkable. All in all it was amazing I just wish we had been paired with a more friendly attentive waiter. And I could say the experience was flawless.
Amazing food great ambiance. Super fresh ingredients make for amazing tasting food
I had been to Craft a few years ago. It was great. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Went to Craft on a Sunday night with my girlfriend to propose. I selected the restaurant because I am a fan of Tom Colicchio, and have been looking forward to going to one of his restaurants. Before we went, I made the reservation and corresponded (briefly) with them to let them know my plans for springing the question. They asked for additional information so they could help make the night more special. And boy, did they deliver!
Without going into details, they gave us a table in a spot where I could propose, and then helped us celebrate with fantastic service and wonderful food! We were really impressed with the wine selection, and the sommelier helped us select wines by the glass, and let us taste them to be sure we picked ones we would like.
For dinner we ordered the tasting menu, and here they accommodated us and substituted out one ingredient that we do not eat. The four courses were excellent! They included salmon belly tartare, halibut, oysters, lamb tortellini and roasted & braised poussin (chicken), each done imaginatively and presented beautifully. The dessert was orange blossom pot de creme, which was excellent!
We were really blown away by the care and attention the serving staff gave to us, on our special occasion, and I know we will be back again, as there is more to try on the menu!
I had one of the most amazing dinner at Craft for my wedding anniversary. Cuisines are mind-blowing and the service was very sophisticatedly provided.
It exceeded my expectations.
My friends birthday
We love Craft, but it wasn’t as memorable as past times we’ve been there. I can’t even remember what I had Friday night, but I remember the fantastic gnocchi I had 6 years ago. Service is excellent. The space is lovely. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. We’ll for sure try again.
It was embarrassing. Absurdly meager portions. Food was well-prepared, but unless you order two entrées or two side dishes with your entrée, you leave hungry. For example, the snapper entrée is about 2/3 of one filet. And no accompaniments. For $36. Ridiculous.
Very beautiful restaurant with creations tasty dishes, and an incredible wine liste. Very very nice staff!
Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Amazing wine selection as well. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
It's not the same Craft it started at - it's lost something
The food exceeded expectations and the service was exceptional!
Found this restaurant while researching on OpenTable. It had good reviews and I wanted to give it a try although I usually opt out for seafood or fusion while in nyc. Was very impressed with the food - everything we got was delicious (pappardelle pasta, side of mixed Mushrooms, halibut and oysters for appetizer). Service was very good, wine selection was great and food was outstanding! It’s a bit on a quieter side so didn’t have to yell while talking to my
Friend which was nice. Definitely coming back. Yum!
Craft has not lost its touch. I went 10 years ago and is simply fantastic. The quail is top notch.
Delicious chicken potatoes gratin and sugar peas
Our table captain and his crew were outstanding and were spot on with recommendations. The whole experience from being seated to the food and wine was excellent. Will definitely return if and when I make it back to New York.
Absolutely the best food and service I have had. Everything was spectacular.
While there was not one open table Craft did not feel crowded. The food was absolutely amazing. Course after course was brought to the table with enough time in between to not feel rushed. Every person that came to the table had a smile.
It was my birthday, and they even printed my name on the menu. It was a nice touch of class.
Having been fans of Top Chef, we wanted to celebrate our special occasion with the best and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were attentive but not invasive. We were seated by the front window and enjoyed the warm setting on a cold April mid-afternoon. My wife enjoyed the Kale Salad and I the Duck Liver Mousse followed by Roasted Skate filled with the taste of the sea and hint of wood smoke and the Ricotta Agnolotti with its cream filled melt-in-your-mouth pasta surrounded by a tender short rib mélange braced with subtle tones of horseradish. The food was everything we hoped for: fresh, flavorful, and fashioned with care and attention to detail. Dessert was Chocolate Semifreddo, a silky delight topped with two heavenly hazelnut brittle squares. And much to our surprise, as we sipped our french press coffees, we saw a smiling Tom Colicchio stroll by. Thanks all for making our thirtieth anniversary special in every way.
Good meal and a reliable place, try something other than the burger for lunch.
Amazing food, service was impeccable, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere!
Food was great and the recommendations from the server were great
Our lunch at Craft on a rainy Tuesday was lovely. Food overall was topnotch, from apps to desserts. The place was very quiet so we got to talk. A weekend evening would not be, I'm sure.
Very unpressured and relaxing. Since it was so slow that day, it was not noisy.
Staff was great! We were in from out of town and had our 8 year old daughter with us. The staff was great with her and even made something special for her to eat.
The food was excellent. The flavors were spot on and the portions just right.
The Easter brunch menu was lovely and copious.
Easter brunch was very nice. Only disappointment was the egg scramble entree- eggs were too soft & undercooked. Fried oyster on top were mediocre. The “for the table” dishes were delicious.
And very nice wine steward.
As always we had an amazing brunch. Hands down our go to for Easter and any special occasion. The staff make the experience unforgettable for all of us especially my kids. The food speaks for itself but the service is unparalleled. We will continue to go to Craft for many years to come.
When Craft opens its doors for Brunch, you need to make it a point to dine there as the meal we had for Easter Brunch was nothing short of Heaven! From the biscuits to the bagels and salmon to the Pain Perdu to the sides of grits and sausage, my partner and I were transported to a state of bliss. The servers and support staff here are all magnificent--highly trained, respectful, courteous and kind. When you combine extraordinary service with the excellence in cuisine offered, Craft sets a high standard. I live in MD and this is my favorite place to dine in the entire US--I cannot imagine a trip to NY that doesn't include a meal at Craft.
Amazing food served in wonderful ambiance. Service was exceptional and left us utterly impressed.
Fantastic food, service and location. Everything was well thought out. The food is fantastic without being fussy and the service was attentive and thoughtful without being clingy. Lovely night.
Lovely service and food . Didn't feel rushed. Highly recommend!
Flavorful food, thoughtful service, and a pleasantly unpretentious vibe. Pricey, but worth it, especially for a special occasion, as they actively help make an occasion of it! Would like to return with a bigger group to sample more of the family-style servings. Order the Bee Sting cocktail and leave room for dessert!
The service was terrible and we had to wait close to 40 minutes to get an order of flank steak.
Food and service was great!
Great roof and service.
Always superb, fresh food and a welcoming environment. Does not take its success for granted; earns it with every visit
Amazing meal. That starts best with drinks at the bar and the of to the wine list and some of the best food in NYC( and order the hen of the woods mushrooms). I always been a big fan of Tom and every time I go with a client or with my wife that the dinner experience doesn’t disappoint
Unbelievable food and service. Make it a must go to in NYC! We will be back! Very noisy and energetic. Staff is very attentive and food is to die for. ❤️❤️❤️
Craft consistently does a fabulous job of making simple ingredients delicious. They always take into consideration my dietary restrictions and food allergies. Plus. They always make meals special; our recent meal there was for our anniversary and they printed a special custom menu for us and we received champagne upon arrival. Staff and servers are always on point. One of our favorite places to eat in the city
