We really enjoyed our meal and the service is fabulous. Being from Australia it was like dining in a Neil Perry restaurant which is always good.
Here the service is more outstanding but your coffee is no good. A small glitch and of no importance.
Service was impeccable, food outstanding - a wonderful evening!
Always love to go to Craft for the Hen of the Woods!
Service and ambiance is top notch without question. Great for our business meeting given the space and noise level (moderate and able to hold a conversation easily). Would be great for a date night as well. Food was very good, only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the price.
This is my favorite fresh farm to table upscale restaurant. Spectacular.
We went in for my husband's birthday while in NYC, menu was personalized for him wishing him a Happy Birthday, just all the little touches they did. Food and service was great, accommodated allergies. Couldn't have asked for a better meal!
I want to thank everyone for their outstanding service. Couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my best friend’s birthday.
Craft continues to be a very special place to dine in a comfortable setting. Food, its preparation and presentation simple fresh and delicious.
I loved everything about the meal I had at Craft. I live in New Orleans and eat out quite a bit, this meal is the best one I’ve had in my life. I’m still thinking about everything I ate days later.
We got the Arctic char appetizer, agnolotti, assorted mushrooms, gnocchi, fryer rabbit, scallops, and panna cotta. Every dish was perfection. You could tell someone had obsessed over every detail to be sure each component was done to perfection.
The service was attentive without being overbearing. The family style portions were large and made for a relaxed experience. Overall, there’s not a single criticism I have for this restaurant.
The food was terrible. The polenta tasted like flavorless mush, the mushrooms were rubbery and the agnolotti was nothing special. To top it off we saw a MOUSE run across the floor at the end of our meal. Not at all what we expected, especially when the bill exceeds $300.
This restaurant is past it’s prime and operating on it’s past reputation. I have been to restaurants and dinners prepared by former top chef contestants and they were far superior to this original top chef judge..
There are many better choices for dinner in New York.
Loved the restaurant. The service was excellent and the halibut delicious. The peppers were seasoned nicely. Would definitely recommend.
I wish I had come here years ago, as I imagine that it would have been much better. While the atmosphere is lovely and inviting, the service was noticeably slow and disjointed, which significantly undermined the overall experience. It took about 45 minutes for our very first morsels of food to arrive. The food was ok but, candidly, nothing special. The beet salad was bland. The mushrooms had very high potential but were ruined by excessive butter that just hid their flavor and texture, making them waxy and dull, unnecessarily decadent in a clumsy, fast-food kind of way. The scallops were very good but also overly rich and laden in butter. I absolutely love butter, but to showcase not smother. What a shame to waste good ingredients. The chicken was not worth writing home about. The chocolate soufflé was very good, slightly underdone and didn’t need the sweet strawberry ice cream accompanying it, but it probably was the most balanced and memorable dish of the evening.
Great dining experience, never disappoints.
Food was excellent as usual. Have not been disappointed. Service excellent. Like the atmosphere.
Nice room and service. Unfortunately, the food just isn't well prepared. Our Short rib was over salted to the point we could not finish it and the halibut was dry and bland. The ingredients are fresh but it's just distroyed by the preparation. Not good.
Craft was incredible the service was excellent and so friendly and they took really great care of us. Every bite of food was superb the attention to detail over it being my birthday made it even better. Would recommend to anyone interested in going.
Craft is an excellent restaurant! Great food and wonderful ambiance.
What an evening with the lady!!! We enjoyed the octopus carpaccio, the mushroom dish was delicious, scallops cooked halfway with a nice crisp and were just perfect! The music and the setting - perfect. We enjoyed the Enfield Napa Valley Chardonnay, but most importantly, we enjoyed our night with everything being a compliment. I’d highly recommend and yes, me and the lady will be back:)!!!
Wonderful dinner. The pasta was amazing and the donuts were the best I ever had. Loved the inventive cocktails.
Our dinner for 4 at Craft was the finest of summer 2019. The service was attentive and helpful but not overly so. One staff explain in fabulous detail when we asked how the mushrooms were prepared. Our entrees from the Red Snapper to the Beef Wagyu to Swordfish were perfection. We will be returning.
Amazing dining experience. Everything was delicious, and well seasoned. We sat in the front of the restaurant by the window, maybe because we reserved through Open Table? We enjoyed be able to share and order family style.
This was our first experience at Craft. We were visiting from Philadelphia and I asked one of my associates for a recommendation. The food, service, and ambiance were perfect for celebrating my wife's birthday. Our server was professional, but also the other staff members were "on their game" as well. Because we had enjoyed some drinks at a rooftop bar prior to dinner, we were happy to have the ability to order a half bottle of Champagne. We planned our meal, starting with heirloom tomatoes, then pasta, then each of us has a main course. We split two vegetable sides and a dessert. The cappuccinos were perfect. The food was perfectly executed and we were never rushed. The restaurant did some special things for my wife's birthday and we left in excellent spirits. We had leftovers for lunch the next day, which were packed meticulously. Thank you!
Just an amazing evening and meal!! So exceeded my very high expectations!!
They made celebrating our anniversary really special!
Service was excellent. Our steaks were tough and under seasoned, very disappointing.
Highly Recommended. We were greeted with genuine smiles by everyone who served us, and seated promptly despite arriving early for our reservation. It was a bit of a wait to order, but this was perfectly acceptable considering our early arrival - and made up for by the excellent bread service. Ordering was straightforward, and we were given great suggestions for everything we had questions about. The atmosphere was relaxed but refined, with just the right amount of noise and action to be pleasing without being distracting. The food was divine. The gnocchi and the chanterelles were particularly outstanding, but our cucumber salad, summer squash, pekin duck, and swordfish steaks were all excellently prepared and are easily recommended. The chocolate soufflé may well be the best dessert I've ever had and is the must-order dish despite its impressive company. Each and every dish had a distinct, full-bodied flavour and pitch-perfect texture, making for a rich and varied tasting experience. Five stars.
Seems like a tired restaurant. Food was poorly executed and while the staff was friendly and attentive, they weren’t as polished as you would expect from a fine NY restaurant.
Still a top NYC restaurant. The menu is simple and diverse. The pastas are divine.
Not at the level it used to be. Most starches and veg were too salty. The short rib was still great, but one piece of meat for $50?
Lovely ambiance with a special personalized menu for the birthday girl! Food and service were excellent. A great restaurant for a special occasion.
Expensive, but worth it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Everything was good at Craft. The ambience modern and comfortable. The food very well prepared and tasty. I would have preferred more USA wines for the by-the-glass selection.
Seating was problematic
I rarely write these things but our experience at Craft is up there with one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The staff went the extra distance to make my wife’s birthday a special one. Try the cured Arctic Char. Remarkable. The Rabbit was as good as I can remember having and presented in such a unique way. Try the corn risotto and the gratin potatoes as side dishes. Simply great. Make this a stop in your places to eat in New York.
another spectacular celebratory dinner at Craft, perfect in every way. best scallops ever!
Great menu for vegetarian diners and caring service!
Amazing restaurant. Food is always top notch and service is as good as one would expect of such a nice restaurant. Prices are on the high end, but you're truly getting what you pay for. There's also an option to get half orders of dishes for half the price. Plus almost the entire menu is enough to share, so that cuts down on price.
First time in NY to celebrate our daughter’s birthday
