My friends were thrilled with my choice for dinner at Craft. They loved the flavours in the assorted mushrooms, the aligot was superb and the braised rib magnificent. The sommelier was able to recommend a perfect wine (and on the lower end of price so thank you... the exchange rate on the dollar for Canadians is killer). It was a wonderful meal and my out of town guests were thrilled.
The food was tired and beyond overpriced. Mediocre at best. What was worse was the service. There were long swaths of time that we were left unattended and not in a good way. We told a waiter that we wanted another glass of the same wine and they took 20 minutes to even send someone over so we could repeat the request before finally getting a second glass. They also threw out all of our leftovers even though multiple people said we wanted them wrapped up.
A friend recommended Craft to us. We were a little nervous to bring our kids. The staff was wonderful, very welcoming, and more than accommodating. The food was delicious and we already want to go back!
Nice restaurant, a little expensive, especially wines only available by the glass, excellent food and very good service apart for a little bit of recurrent waiting for bread.
The food was fine. Expected more. Service was fabulous. Great place for a business meal as the sound level is perfect.
Excellent dinner, though not cheep. Service, ambiance, food was excellent.
It’s pricey but worth it - very good!
Great food - would definitely go back. Great services.
Not coming back, mediocre at best
We went on vacation to NYC and we had a pleasant time at Craft
Terrific food and service. Warm and welcoming atmosphere
Celebrated our 28h anniversary. Great food, service, and wine. Definitely would go back.
Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Would go back again despite all of the other places still to try in NYC because it was just outstanding from start to finish!
Such a great dinner experience. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Highly recommend
Main courses, bit basic and nothing special
the steak was not a good piece of meat, the beef cheeks and the sauce that came with it were fine
Craft went out of their way to make this the most special birthday experience. Will definitely return for another special occasion!
Thank you to the whole staff!
Enjoyable meal, Faith and the rest of the servers high top rate.
We booked a table for our anniversary. We felt totally spoiled by the service we received. A very memorable evening!
Craft food and service never disappoints. Everything from the pasta courses to dessert is enjoyable. Always a go to favorite when in NYC.
Went on our Anniversary - Craft went all out to make our night special. Service was top notch, welcoming, nice, helpful. Relaxed, elegant, and comfortable atmosphere. Food was beyond exceptional - esp the Heirloom Tomato and Basil salad. The Braised Beef Short Ribs were melt in your mouth tender. Highly recommend the Bee Sting for a cocktail before the wine. Save room for the Chocolate Souffle and the Doughnuts - you'll be happy you did. Will be back again in the future for certain, one of the best dining experiences we have ever had.
We travel to NYC several times a year. This is still our favorite NYC restaurant! Always great ambience, service, cocktails a dinner!
Im a city full or world renowned restaurants, I believe Craft to be the best.
good food. good for business meal - because its a little pricey
Beautiful space, nice soft music. Very polite maîtresse d’s and waitstaff. Interesting menu with wide selection for vegetarians and pescatarians. Generous portions of every course. Hard to find something to complain about. Live long and prosper.
I brought work friends to the restaurant, based on a few delicious dinners and wonderful ambiance I’ve experienced at Craft in the past and I was disappointed this time.
The host/hostesses and bartender were welcoming and very personable but once we sat at our table, it was an odd ride.
Our waiter was our waiter for a few minutes but then seemed much more enamored by another table of diners and basically ignored us.
Our charming sommelier took over and for the most part, brilliantly handled the rest of the evening for us.
Dinner was fine, but the food was not extraordinary and prices on the menu seemed rather exorbitant for what was served.
We will not return as there are so many other cool places in the city, with more interesting menus.
Very good food. Outstanding service. Expensive.
Food and atmosphere were great. Mushrooms and short ribs were some of the best food I’ve ever had.
Love visiting Craft! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is quiet and comfy. Great place to talk and connect with someone you love!
Favorite restaurant in NYC! Would recommend to all my friends :)
The evening was nice but weird. We started at the bar because they were getting our table ready. The drinks were great, but the table took ~20 minutes past the reservation. Once we got the meal started the service was polite but slow. The bread and starters were delicious, but no one stopped by to offer more drinks. When our mains came, they were luke warm and we had to stop someone to ask for a wine list. When we told them our food wasn’t hot, they took it back to the kitchen and reheated it. It wasn’t good on the other side of that reheat. They asked if it was better and since we were surprised they didn’t remake it, we just smiled awkwardly and the manager smiled back and eventually walked away. The rest of the meal was awkward. Ultimately it was fine except for the mains and the awkwardness.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had!
I have been to Craft at least 20 times and this was by far the worst service I have had at the restaurant. Because I've been there before I know how good the service can be, so this was a disappointment. We had to ask for bread after we had already all finished one glass of wine, we never received the amuse bouche. The meal was terribly timed and then the waiter came over to acknowledge the delay and said the manager was going to come over "with something" (we didn't ask for the manager) and the manager never turned up. The waiter in general was distracted, not attentive, and mostly hard to find. The sommelier was helpful and checked in on us, and we generally had to ask him for help with the other service. We didn't get the usual muffin when we walked out the door, but I'm not sure if maybe they have done away with this. I would go back because the food is always amazing, but service needs some tweaking!
Dining at Craft is the ultimate dining experience. The atmosphere, hospitality, service, food, & drinks all combine to make this an amazing experience. Every bite & every moment was delightful.
Wonderful food and service! The made our birthday celebration unforgettable.
They were able to flex a little on my reservation and let be 10 minutes late. The staff was attentive and Ed, our waiter, was excellent. The sommelier was right on with recommendations. Food was excellent.
Food, service, playlist, all excellent. Mez was a lot of fun tableside.
Very good food. The front of house management could be stronger to help the staff do their jobs. It is a gorgeous space and the food is too good not have service that supports it being enjoyed.
Loved family style. Service was great. Also waiter was very sensitive to my daughter’s celiac disease.
