Nice meal but at a steep price point
Excellent food and service. Chef and staff are wonderful about meeting my dietary needs. Great evening!
Meh…cocktails and dessert were fabulous. Steak was basically raw and so tough while short ribs were opposite cooked well done like roast beef. Pasta was excellent. Overall just OK for us.
This was a Thanksgiving away from home and eating at Craft was a highlight. The food was delicious. I had the vegan dinner and there was more food than I could ever eat! The beet salad was divine! My husband really enjoyed the short ribs and he agreed that every bite was a gourmet delight! We will definitely be back. It was a totally worthwhile experience in dining.
Very disappointing Thanksgiving. Arrived early but were not seated until thirty minutes after our reservation time. Took ten minutes before a server stopped by and service did not get better. Food was mostly underseasoned and greasy. Might be a good restaurant but they were not prepared for the holidays. Took us hours to get out of there because service was so slow the entire time. Poor table next to us didn't have a server approach them for half an hour after they sat down. Staff seemed very flustered and overwhelmed the whole evening. Not even close to worth the prices they charged for this holiday "experience".
Best Thanksgiving dinner ever!! Sat at the bar. Service and food impeccable. Felt Covid safe due to vaccine mandate for indoor dining. Will definitely skip “family” and do Thanksgiving at Craft again.
The staff were all friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal. The food was exceptional! We fully appreciated that all the staff wore masks. It was a another wonderful experience at a truly amazing restaurant.
Went for Thanksgiving. Outstanding as always. Craft is arguably the best fine dining restaurant in NYC.
This was a pretty flawless meal and experience. Without going into the detail of every dish, especially since we ordered a lot of food, I will point out the only dish that could have been improved - the donuts. The donuts came with two sauces, a chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. The sauces were both cold and I feel like they should have been warm or hot. We had disagreement at the table regarding the fresh lemon juice in the caramel sauce. I enjoyed it a lot. My husband thought it spoiled a perfect confection. Also, the donuts themselves were just barely warm and I would have preferred them hot, like when you get them at a roadside cider stand in autumn.
And that's it. That is the only slight misstep in the evening.
Oh, the foie gras was the best I've ever had.
Craft was simply perfect. The attention to detail, the kindness of the staff and superb hospitality and food. Nothing better.
Dinner was fantastic, service was just as good. Farm to table is how it works, and so delicious...
Everything was great. Service and food were excellent.
Birthday. Amazing service and food
The food is outstanding, both in terms of quality and quantity. The service is also at a very high level,
The meal was amazing. Perfectly cooked, great portions. I’ve been wanting to visit Craft since Top Chef started. Can’t wait to go backS
There was an excellent selection of delicious, seasonal foods that were offered as sharable plates. The service and ambiance were top-notch.
Such a wonderful dinner and great service. We can’t wait to return!
Amazing experience! The best food and service.
Flawless! Foie Gras, Duck, Pomme Puree... Amazing. I highly recommend!
We've eaten here and loved it before, but this time the food did not live up to the prices. Brussel sprouts were unappealingly tough; octopus good but overpriced for the portion size. Waiter was efficient and friendly. As for ambience, we were stuck in a back corner near the restroom, so there wasn't much of that. Even great restaurants can't rest on their laurels forever.
My family and I had dinner to celebrate two birthdays. We started out with the tuna tartare, which was very tasty. I had the pork chop (which was a bit dry). Although it was recommended by the chef to serve medium rare—I opted to have it served medium. My husband had the Rigatoni which he thought was ok. My cousins had the Risotto and Braised Short ribs. They both enjoyed their meals a lot. For desert, we had the spiced sugar doughnuts (they were good), Apple tart (very good) and chocolate soufflé (very good). My favorite dish of the night was the Aligot potatoes—like a potato purée with cheese…so good!
Waiter would not take our appetizer order and insisted we order all at once. We wanted to have some drinks and relax first with some apps as it was early 5:45pm. My business guests were surprised by the waiters behavior. I had been here previously and had a pleasurable experience.
We had a fantastic dinner at Craft. The service was impeccable and very warm. They made a special menu labeled with my partner's name at the top for her birthday. Overall a very special night. We've already booked a return dinner:)
Dinner was excellent, best risotto either of us have ever had! Loved the family style portions and everything was cooked to perfection! Very special evening for our post wedding dinner, we loved our customized menus, thank you very much, we will be back!
As expected, the night was great!
Would absolutely recommend Craft to others and will definitely return. Every food item we ordered was perfect and the taste was amazing - even the side dishes. There was definitely very strong attention to detail and the servers were prompt and attentive. It was my wife's 64th birthday and the restaurant personalized a menu for her, which she kept as a keepsake. Overall, our experience was exquisite. Thumbs up for Craft.
Another great dining experience . From the servers to presentation of the foot to the taste all just being superb!
The food was absolutely outstanding. The noise level of the patrons was low but the music was a bit high overall. Even though the restaurant was operating on 3/4 staff, we didn’t notice at any lapse in service at all. We will be returning soon.
Excellent food and dining experience, the service was perfect!
Fabulous meal and service as ever!
Food, setting and service were exceptional. Great wine list. Prices are high, definitely a special occasion restaurant but they do make it special.
continues to be amongst my favorites... for over ten years. best in class
I've always wanted to eat at Craft and I really enjoyed it!
Slow service at times. Fish was dry
Absolutely incredible. It was our 10 year anniversary dinner and they went above and beyond to make our time special. We will be back every time we are in NYC.
The experience over all was very good . The portions of most of the dishes were adequate and flavorful. The short ribs however were Ridiculously Small. I usually order short ribs when feeling on the hungry side. When we opened the pot were disappointed. The Wellfleet oysters were amazingly fresh and delicious. The duck was superb. Even the coffee was a very good blend.
My wife and I dined here for the first time.
The reservation staff and our waiter were helpful and professional.
The ambiance was very New York .
The problem was the food which was average at best .
The vegetable and potato sides were just ok . They are very large and suitable for2-3.
The risotto was terrible. It was significantly overcooked and way too salty .
It should have been sent back . A piece of cutlery was filthy and sticky . Not what is expected at a restaurant like this .
The pork chop was huge , enough for the 2 of us , with leftovers, which we did not
take . If it had been better we would have . It was good , but only good , with
a lot of inedible fat .
This is NOT a restaurant for foodies. Much better options in the area are Union Square Cafe and Gramercy Tavern .
We obviously wouldn’t return and would not recommend this restaurant to
people who expect high end dining.
We celebrated our 2nd year anniversary and craft made it very special. Wonderful food abs great service
The risotto was little over seasoned. Everything else was fantastic (chicken, short rib, gnocchi, and mushroom s were really unbelievable. I would recommend this place for special occasions. The staff were wonderful
Birthday dinner. Great service with special touches
