Spot on as always
We had a delightful meal. All these years later the space, the food and service are still impeccable. We started with oysters moved onto the agnolotti and then the black bass and the Colorado lamb both were absolutely perfectly cooked, seasoned and so tender. Highly recommend for a date night or really any occasion. As a non drinker I especially love their mock tail options which were delish too.
Craft gave my husband and I a brilliant and very personal experience. We were greeted by first name upon meeting our server, we received personalized menus and we were treated as VIPs. It is cliche, but it was an experience and oh yeah, the food was perfect.
I highly recommend Craft. It was another wonderful evening at this restaurant. I look forward to going back next time I’m in New York City.
Portions are quite large and obviously high quality good. Loved our server. We were treated very generously! Just need a reservation well ahead of time.
The service was amazing. Right level of friendliness without being obsequious and helpful regarding the menu.
The food was very good but the portions (particularly the short ribs) was very small and far smaller than photos on the website.
Noise level and ambiance were perfect.
The AC was broken on the day we went and the staff were apologetic and gave us complimentary drinks which was a huge bonus.
Everything was perfect except the a/c was down and it was very hot. It might have been nice to receive a call prior to arriving so we could decide if we wanted to change our plans (though we probably wouldn’t have!).
We had a truly fabulous dinner. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. The music playlist was excellent, but not loud. Ed and the team of servers took excellent care of us and we had a memorable evening. We look forward to returning.
This was our first dinner at Craft, and we enjoyed every element of our experience there. Every detail of the diner’s experience has been carefully thought through and crafted, including the name, which announces the restaurant’s theme as artfully as a novel’s title portends it’s content. Congruent to the cuisine, the room is appropriately American; spacious, airy, bold and straightforward. The furnishings are sturdy and unpretentious, yet elegant, every piece serves as an example of fine joinery. I thought the table was a little large when my wife and I were seated, but the room noise level was low enough for us to easily converse, and the lighting was bright enough to read the menu while still being low enough to provide an intimate, sensual feel. Table service was perfect; friendly and gracious without being overly familiar, informed by European service traditions without being fussy, completely unobtrusive and yet not once did I have to signal the superb wait staff. When the food arrived, the table size made perfect sense. All the items we ordered were presented in serving dishes to facilitate sharing, which added to the ease and enjoyment of our very special night out. We expected the food to be well crafted and artistically presented, and our expectations were exceeded. We had a wonderful time at Craft. Thanks for all the special things you did to make our anniversary dinner memorably enjoyable.
It was so amazing. We started with champagne. Then Oysters that were truly the "taste of the sea" Then we moved along to Chardonnay and the Sea Scallops, AuGratin Potatoes & Mushroom Mix. Wonderful Dinner, wonderful people. Would recommend highly and will return on our next visit NYC. Tom, please open a CRAFT in Orlando.
An amazing experience! The food was delicious, the staff welcoming, helpful and so nice. They went out of their way to make our first visit to Craft and New York memorable and special by taking our son (recently accepted to CIA) on a tour of the kitchen.
Not impressed. First, the fact that a high-class restaurant offers an a la carte menu where the diner is left build her own entree--choose a protein, choose a veggie, choose a potato--is ridiculous and feels like a cash grab. Nothing disguises a $70 plate like breaking it into $40, $15, and $15.
Second, into the specifics--the bacon-wrapped rabbit dish was not good. The rabbit was dry, underseasoned, flavorless. The bacon couldn't save it. I'm not sure if this is inherent in rabbit--I'm not the expert here--but it was a lousy $50 plate of food.
Everything was excellent!
Good. I will come back.
What a fabulous place to celebrate my niece’s college graduation. The staff went out of their way to make us feel special. Hopefully we can come back out next trip to NYC!
The food was bland and unimaginative. I had the sea bass and it was served without any sauce or garnish. Their presentation of food in copper pots is, I suppose, an attempt at being rustic, but it just looks lazy, like the chef couldn't figure out how he wanted to plate his food.
They screwed up my reservation (first they had it, then they didn't).
The young women at the door had the entitled slouch of millennial wannabe hipsters.
When we left, they gave each of us a stale muffin.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere of Craft. Service was on point. I did the tasting menu and my very favorite dish was the Norwegian King Crab with Gnocchi and English Peas.
Must visit again
They brought us a personalized menu for the birthday person as well as a desert labeled happy birthday.
Food was outstanding. Service as well
My only small complaint is the heat was sometimes bursting and it was almost way too hot.
Very expensive for what you get, I was quite surprised at the price for the portion. I really wanted to live craft but was disappointed in what I got. Butter while delicious should not be used so heavily in every dish.
Craft was beautiful & wonderful! Delicious foie gras, entrees and risotto. The only off item was a slightly undercook rabbit pot pie however flavors were on point. Craft really goes the extra mile with an amuse bouche, a sweet bite at the end and take home treats. Wines by the glass & server both excellent! Front desk welcoming. Highly recommend!
I’ve never been disappointed and the service is always knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommended.
This was not the Craft's best night. Maybe just too busy or maybe not set up for this kind of dining.
It was an excellent meal - service was outstanding. Made my wife’s birthday celebration memorable..
We loved the very simple menu and the fact that everything was simple, yet perfect. All of the fish entrees were done to perfection. We were all still talking about the roasted mushrooms the next day! Brooks was very personable and knowledgable about wine and was a big part of our positive experience.
I booked a reservation as part of my daughters birthday celebration. We were seated quickly by a courteous hostess but it quickly went downhill from there. our server gave us menus and left. 10 minutes later we flagged down another server to order drinks. our server had walked past us repeatedly without looking at us- we were seated near the staging area. a few minutes later a nice woman who i think is the sommelier approached us because they were out of the wine i ordered - no big deal - i asked her if she could send someone to take the kids drink orders because we hadn’t seen our server. 30 minutes after we arrived i asked for a different server since we hadn’t even put in an appetizer order. the whole night was like this with a variety of nice people trying to make up for our server. i feel bad for the manager on duty who tried to bridge the gap but the server continued being curt and barely there. the horrible service made the whole evening stressful and marred my daughters birthday. she was given a menu with happy birthday and her name at the top but now it just reminds her what bad experience she had. i am especially angry that i booked this for a special occasion and it just made my daughter sad.
This is always an excellent restaurant, both in food and service.
Amazing!!! A NY institution.
Amazing hospitality—the team went above and beyond to make it a special meal for our young daughter, who is a huge Top Chef / Tom Colicchio fan and on her first visit to NYC. The food, as expected, was also special; an all-around memorable experience for all of us.
The team at Craft never disappoint! Made my friend feel like a queen for her birthday!!
As always craft delivers an unbelievable experience, the food is always delicious and tonight exceeded all expectations, the highlight was the chestnut agnolotti. We were so pleasantly surprised with personalized happy anniversary menus that made the night even more special
The service is phenomenal as always and we can not wait to get back to our favorite place for Easter!
Thank you again to the staff and chefs !!!
This was a bucket list item for me - and it didn't disappoint! Service was AMAZING - just enough attention, and when they cleared for one course to the next it was so subtle and quick. Waiter (can't remember her name but she was awesome!) was knowledgeable and friendly. Ambience was so cool - it's a very open space so a little noisy, but was completely ok. The decor is beautiful. The FOOD - incredible. Highly recommend!
Craft used to be one of my go to places. However, on this visit service was slow and inattentive and though there was one outstanding dish the rest of the items on the tasting menu were mediocre. There was a large party seated near us so perhaps this was just an off night.
Our waiter was not attentive and our service was very slow...the food and wine was amazing. But the slow service almost ruined the experience.
Platillo compartidos muy buenos.
Vino y postre excelente!!
Muy agradable ambiente.
Muy recomendable restaurante
Good overall experience. Seated at nice corner table. Wagyu duo was very good as was arctic char starter and assorted mushrooms. Subdued scene, lacked energy. Server fine, though not terribly personable.
We were seated promptly as per our reservation time. The staff were friendly and helpful, and responded well to our questions regarding individual menu items. We thoroughly enjoyed our drink food and dessert choices. Will definitely return to try other menu items. The ambience was smart/casual and not noisy.
Amazing service and attention to detail. Thanks for a fantastic evening.
Really nice dinner, enjoyed this place very much!!!
Overall this was a good dinner spot. However, we waited over 45 minutes for appetizers. When we notified the waiter it seemed that he hadn't put in our order, at the good came within 15 minutes of asking him. Then they tried to rush the apps off the table for the main course. He did comp us a round of drinks for the wait. Not sure I'd make this spot a repeat offender.
