About Craft Los Angeles
Tom Colicchio's Craft in New York City received the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant nationwide in 2002 & five years later brought Craft across the country to join the other "top chefs" in Los Angeles. His new American dishes marry the finest ingredients, haute cuisine and family-style service. Under the execution of Chef de Cuisine Andrew Gavalla, Craft features produce from local organic farms, all-natural meats & day-boat seafood. With the award-winning architectural design of Bentel and Bentel & under the glow of filament bulbs, diners share dishes that celebrate 'single' ingredients, expertly & simply prepared.
Awarded Three and a Half Stars by S. Irene Virbila of the Los Angeles Times, she states:
“The menu offers a master class in contemporary American cuisine. You won’t find recipes with 17 ingredients or unnecessary frills. Each dish relies on simplicity & elegance, superb ingredients & expert execution to make its point."

Craft Los Angeles Ratings and Reviews
We went on Valentines day and were required to eat the pre determined menu. Food wasnt bad but i wish the regular menu was available to order. Food quality was generally good but i had higher expectations. I may come back to try their full menu. Parking was fine but we got lost trying to find the restaurant from the parking lot.
Valentine’s date. We love the food, hospitality, service and peacefulness. Wonderful tastes. Feels like we are visiting someone’s home. We’d come more often if it were more affordable, but still a great special occasion place. Never rushed or hurried. Thanks to the staff!
Craft is a problem for me since the real question is value for cost. The restaurant is a $$$$ establishment. If you go in accepting that this is the case, then you look at good quality and ambiance as the equalizer. In my opinion, Craft clears the bar with ease and is a great find for the cost of the average meal.
Fantastic service, good conversations with bar tenders and waiters. They were helpful in suggestions and sensitive to the gluten allergy throughout our experience. And, oh yeah, the music playing overhead was awesome, kind of chill and retro to the 80’s. We loved it and will definitely return.
Wine List is phenomenal, food menu is remarkable.
Food was not as good as I was hoping. Pasta came out very dried and rubbery at the top. Took awhile for the new one to be made by the time it came out we were mostly full. Tried to take that home and waitress discouraged us. Also, beef cheeks sauce was very salty. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it was not an awesome experience either. I was expecting more from Tom’s restaurant. On the positive note, the hosts were very welcoming and the duck dish was superb.
The food is always on point along with the service. There is a little bit of wear and tear on some of the interior and conceptually (as far as ambience and design) could be updated, but those are minor things in comparison to the quality of food (which hasn't changed between two visits that were far apart) and impeccable service.
Always wanted to try Craft. Happened to be on the Westside and it was DineLA so went to try. Dine LA menu was great and gave us lots of choices to try. Food was good but not exceptionally above other restaurants. Service by waiter poor. Was disinterested when I asked about the regular menu should I come back. We ordered a bottle of wine which never came. The other staff was great. Food arrived with a smile and table was cleared efficiently. Would consider coming back if I was in the area but would not make a special trip to eat here.
I had always heard about Craft L.A. and never had the opportunity to visit this restaurant. Finally we had the chance to go and it completely exceeded all my expectations. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. The hostess Wendy remember that I had called to confirm our reservation. Very warm and inviting. The food completely amazing. The cocktails were different and very soothing. Dessert was not wasted on us. The whole experience was everything I hoped for. It is like a restaurant in their first year trying to make the best impression but better. I am thankful to you for treating my daughter and I to a wonderful experience. I totally appreciate your efforts!
Wonderful restaurant. Great food and service. They give you little treats throughout the meal, making it fun and special. Not crazy about the parking lot which is complimentary with a validation, but quite confusing. However, it is worth the hassle or you can do valet.
This is the perfect restaurant!!
Service the best
What a thoughtfully executed restaurant hitting all the high points. Bravo!!
I love Craft and will keep coming back whenever I can. Exquisite dining experience.
Thank you for being able to dine with you.
Another great experience here at Craft LA. Went one other time with friends during DineLA a few years ago and loved it. Thought we'd revisit it again for another foodie, special hang out and had another wonderful time. The service was fantastic from the moment we checked in at the hostess desk, and the ambiance was great. The food was AMAZING and Craft LA actually allows diners to order from the DineLA menu OR the regular menu. Many restaurants don't allow this, but it was great for us because some did and some ordered from the menu, so we all got to share in the tasty delights. We brought our own bottles of wine and they decanted the red for us, which was great. This is worth every $ especially during DineLA.
