Our second time at Craft House and we loved it as much as the first. Excellent food, and we appreciate how many unique vegetarian options are available, as well as meat and fish. I had the butternut squash and sage risotto, which was so delicious. Began our meal with the "dirty" fries and cannot recommend them more! Topped off with cinnamon roll bread pudding - great dessert! Service is impeccable; Spencer, thank you!
This place has great food. Quality all the way. One of my favorites.
Food and service were good.
Good cocktails, good food, fun atmosphere and staff is very friendly. Definitely a fun place to enjoy a night out.
Seemed they were too busy. Very slow service, waited 30min for our desert that never came. We just paid and left.
Great nite on the front patio! Delicious food and drinks!
My wife & I went in tonight to try the Birria Egg Rolls we’ve heard so much about, and they did NOT disappoint. Our server was Brandon from the bar & he made a lot of really good recommendations.
Looking forward to going back.
The food was bland. The service lack luster. I had to keep asking the server for service. The decor was predictable. They say on their menu that the seafood is fresh, yet my scallops tasted like cardboard l. We spent almost $500 on an ok meal. They also don’t follow any COVID protocols. Not even the staff in the kitchen. Even if they did it wouldn’t change my review. I really don’t get the positive reviews. I’ve eaten a restaurants all over the world and this was not good. At one point i went into the restroom. The door was unlocked and a drunk customer started yelling at me. Staff did nothing. Just not a good experience.
Been a long time since we dined at Craft House. Very surprised at the upscale menu. We never got past our appetizers... darn good.
My 21st birthday.
Awesome meal! Drinks were excellent! Apps, meatloaf, fried chicken, Wagyu burger were exceptional! Ask for Parker!
Great friendly staff! The chicken and waffle portion size should be bigger..,
Great drinks, great service and great food, pricey drinks but really good
Great service and food, good selection of social hours, will be back again.
Amateur hour on all fronts, from food to service. Sure, you can watch a game and drink beer here, but you can do that tons of places. Try some training of staff. Won’t return.
Lovely outdoor evening, excellent wait staff, delicious food & drink - we’ll be back!
Try the ceviche appetizer it is delicious, and unique. We highly recommend the Meatloaf, Aged Burger and the Fried Chicken. The variety of libations is awesome, with high marks on the variety and quality of the Old Fashioned.
We loved the cocktails and egg roll appetizer! Menu is very interesting.
Cauliflower was amazing. Farm salad just ok. Scallops not the best. Chicken pasta was tasty but too rich for us. Lamb cooked well but chewy. Lamb side dish very tasty.
We used to love Craft House however we haven’t been in a while… we brought our friends visiting town here & were extremely disappointed. The craft cocktails used to be fabulous (back when Tyler worked there) and now they are nothing to write home about. The food used to be awesome, however our scallops were ok (not fantastic like they used to be) and they forgot one of our dishes completely. The “oil slick” also may not be the best name for the seafood dish with the recent oil spill that shut down Dana Point. Last, the Better Than Nick’s Butter Cake was not better than Nick’s for dessert. A disappointing experience for our visiting friends however in their defense maybe it was because it was a Monday night & the B crew was there? Not sure we will return again. The best item of the evening was the Chocolate Mousse by far.
Best server and bartender around!
The Service & Food was excellent. The Venue was packed and
dynamic. The bar was full. We hadn't been to the Craft House for some time,
but can't wait to go back.
Went for a little date night, overall it was good, drinks and food were really good. I will definitely be going back, I would like to sit at the bar next time or even outside.
Great service and excellent food. Highly recommend
The front patio is extremely loud and hard to have any conversation. The wait staff was rude and not attentive.
Our server was so incredible! Very welcoming, funny, attentive Our meals were all good EXCEPT the $32 burger, yes you heard that right, $32! Not worth it and really not very good. All I could taste was mustard. Everything else was good. I would go back again, maybe to try the grilled meatloaf
I had eaten here before and it was really good although expensive. We sat in the back and had a great experience and waiter (Frank was excellent). I brought my daughter here because I thought it was so good before (she was visiting from out of state). So disappointing!! Food was expensive, limited and just so average. They closed the back because it was chilly (I thought they would use heaters). It’s so convenient, but I won’t be back anytime soon.
Great food.. fun place
The service and atmosphere at Craft House are both very good; however the entrées were just so-so, and not a very good value for the price charged. The fried chicken was particularly bad, both greasy and burnt. We actually sent it back.
Awesome except for parking. Parking was a real challenge.
We love the atmosphere and service but the last two times we’ve had dinner here, the food was not great. Our fries were cold and overcooked when they came out, my husband’s sword fish was thin and looked more like a small piece of chicken. The meatloaf was dry and my pork was tough and dry and the fritter was burned. The service was great and their wine list was as well. While we won’t be going back for dinner, we will be going back for their brunch, which is always very good. I wish they could get back to the high quality dinner entrees that they had before the pandemic.
So sad to say that the food was subpar to horrible.
We got apps before drinks. The cauliflower which was PERFECT forever so why did they change it...was so so. It is the reason many of us come here.
The skirt steak was luke warm and so fatty and chewy NONE Of it was edible.
We were starving and ready and had to send 2 entrees back.
The scallops were perfect so I gave MY dish I was so pleased with, to my Bday boy son as his ONE request for his Bday was THIS dinner!
The waitress was nice but too casual and not so attentive and in general their staff has NOT been trained to look at ALL tables when passing by- they look only at their own, so if you need something and your server is MIA ( she was and often) good luck.
They comped our dessert and took the bad steaks off but I am SO bummed that my very favorite restaurant seems totally lost now.
Our experience at Craft House has, overall, always been outstanding!
However, I confirmed that the outdoor back patio would be available. I was assured that it would be open for dining. That area is just one of the reasons that we are frequent diners at C H. We arrived to find the patio closed! We ate indoors The food was delicious, as always. I would suggest that the staff be advised of the patio policy! We will still come back, but now will know what the deal is. Sincerely, Dana Point resident.
Craft House was a delightful surprise when we went there for lunch as this was our first visit. The service and food were excellent and we liked their extended brunch menu with unique dishes and plenty of choices for most palates. I will definitely keep Craft House on my list of dining choices to revisit.
Food selection could improve with more healthy items.
Great food and wonderful environment. Service was excellent.
First visit. Great food. First server was the male bartender (nice guy). Second server (why2 ?) was the female bartender (nice girl). Third and forth servers were busboys. I'm guessing under staffed because of covid? We'll be back in case this was a fluke. Everybody deserves a second chance.
Great restaurant for casual dining. Bar area is almost as large as dining area. Outdoor dining can be noisy, due to car traffic nearby.
