A special place that feels like a vacation spot. Food is delicious and lovely from carefully-sourced local farms. I was surprised by the large number of gluten-free possibilities. We went for my husband's birthday and he said it felt like a real celebration being there. The staff is fun and polite, and the birthday song singing was great, too.
On a rainy Monday we were the only people in the dining room at lunchtime, but we were made to feel very comfortable and we enjoyed our meal.
Crabtree's Kittle House tiene el mejor brunch de Westchester
Had an awesome time. This was a featured wine tasting dinner with a preplanned dinner. One course i could not eat due to a food allergy and gave mine to my sister. The staff noticed and in minutes brought out a different dish for me.
top ten restaurant in Westchester County year after year. Always good. Delicious food and 5 star service.
We enjoyed excellent food and service as always. The lobster with pasta appetizer was excellent and the soft shell crabs were over the top.
7 people- all of us raved about our appetizers and main course. Staff and service were excellent.
Easter price fix dinner menu was superb! I had red snapper, my spouse the fillet mignon. Both were delicious & perfect! The deserts are dangerous--so good!! Beautiful dining room. Steeped in history, elegant. Love this neighborhood gem!!
We had Easter dinner, which was delicious, however it was spoiled by very poor service. First we receive Hors d’oeuvres late with our Appetizer, only after asking for them. Then we had to ask for bread which came midway through the entrée. The bread arrived with plates but no butter knives but at that point we were too annoyed to ask for them. There is a manitory 20% tip but the service we received was not worth it.
The Kittle House is an old favorite that doesn't disappoint. Nice ambience, interesting and varied menu, and good service.
Overall we had a wonderful time with our family for our daughters birthday.
The service was good but not stellar like the food and ambiance. I think there were not enough wait staff for the number of guests dining. This is our fourth visit and we do love it overall.
Excellent Sunday brunch. Great selection of food including quiche, waffles, bagels and lox, various salads, carving station, shrimp, clams and mussels, pastas.
Start with mimosa or Bloody Mary.
Family friendly and low noise level.
This is one of favorite restaurants and we usually go 3 - 4 times a year. Excellent food and great, expansive wine list. We have had nothing but great experiences at Kittlehouse...until last Saturday evening.
Food was inconsistent and disappointing. My wife's meal was over cooked and not very well seasoned. My guest's wife's meal was not well seasoned and was very bland. We asked that the two meals be replaced with the Cod special, which was excellent. Also, we ordered a spanish Rioja which we could not fully appreciate. The wine was served below room temperature (too cold) which totally dulled the taste and fragrance; this despite the fact that we had the wine decanted and waited for 20 minutes before we drank it.
As always, the wait staff was extremely attentive, helpful and accommodating.
We will go back again as we believe that this was "just one of those days" . Nevertheless, we were greatly disappointed this time around because it dulled what was to be a special evening with our friends.
This was a first-time visit and I'll definitely be back. The food, presentation, service and ambience were excellent. The only down note was that I requested a birthday candle in my companion 's dessert and it came out with nothing. Even if they didn't have a candle, just acknowledging it would have been nice. Other than that, great restaurant and dining experience.
We had a lovely time. Everything about the evening was great.
Great service! , love this place
Always the best! Our go to spot.
Fantastic experience. Would definitely go again.
Great food, good service. Always a good place to go for a nice evening
Food was good. Service was slow. Three or four different wait staff.
Kittle House always one of my favorite places. Elegant classic. Hudson Valley restaurant week delicious menu. First class as always at KH
I have been dining here more often of late. I was not happy with some things this time.
We have been going to Crabree's Kittle House for thirty years. It's always excellent!
Excelente brunch de domingo en un ambiente muy acogedor
Always a good meal, never disappoints
Went restaurant week. Been there before. What a pleasure. Service, food , ambiance are all good.
Excellent food and excellent service. So glad Crabtree Kittlehouse participates in Restaurant Week.
Northern Westchester dining experience in a vibrant, yet relaxed setting. Enjoyed flavorful dishes, a delightful presentation, attentive service, and a scenic bucolic view. In a word - yum!
Having been there before, it did not disappoint. We went during restaurant week and the food was well cooked, seasoned and top notch service.
Great dining experience, excellent food and great ambiance.
My friend and I revisited this lovely restaurant for Restaurant Week, remembering an extraordinary lunch we had there a few years ago. It did not disappoint us. My cod was excellent, her pork was fantastic. The only mildly off part of our meals was her raspberry tart with a too thick crust. My sorbet was marvelous, especially in ginger. Wine was fabulous. I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Even the Labrador who visited our table was warm and welcoming.
food and service are excellent, little lag time in between courses but overall a fine night.
We went for restaurant week. The place is lovely and charming. The service was friendly and professional. We had the lobster bisque and the potato gnocchi for starters. Both were very good, with the bisque having an unexpected spiciness. Entrees were the pork shank, which was heavenly, and the cod, which was just okay. For dessert we each had some ice cream and sorbet, which were outstanding.
Deliciously-different meal with a view of wooded outdoors. What can be better than that?
Anniversary
Really nice place, local neighborhood vibe with an upscale, posh ambience. Very classy but approachable. Been back several times, won't hesitate again!
Always special. This is one of the most civilized dining experiences in all of Westchester. Never disappoints.
felt rushed for Valentine's day early seating. food came out much too quickly.
Allowing for the fact that it was Valentines Day, we were very pleased with the food and wine pairings, but were a bit disappointed with the service. Definitely seemed that the front of the house was not communicating well with the kitchen. But our waiter was apologetic and gave us some extra wine, so all was good!
Sunday brunch was delightful. The food quality, quantity, and selection was wonderful: shrimp, salmon, crab legs, beef, lamb, breakfast foods, salads, vegetables, fruits, and desserts. Service was good and quick. So much fun.
