Beautiful outdoor garden and delicious meal!
The service was poor today. Our water was filled often which was good, but no one asked how our meals were. It took time to get our check etc. The positive thing was that we got to see Clinton.
The new menu was fabulous. A huge improvement. We went at 3:00 p.m. and had a wonderful experience as we were the only ones in the dining room and had great service and took over two hours to have a wonderful lunch/dinner experience.
Phenomenal. Loved the food and the service was top notch.
This cozy little inn is the perfect place to go for a nice summer meal!
We had a very nice dinner. Our duck was slightly dry but all the other food was delicious! The chocolate gift box for dessert was insanely good!
The menu has many wonderful options and everything was beautifully prepared and presented. Amazing wine list.
Perfect. Attentive but not overbearing waitstaff. Food was delish
Fantastic food great service. Great time. I would definitely recommend this place.
Wonderful meal. Took the elegant route and ordered some fancy items and all were excellent. Will be back for burgers and beers in the very cozy looking bar area.
Our dinner was very good overall. The novelty of reading the menu on our phones wore off quickly — too small to savor the full choice. And the wine list, all 176 pages of it, was absurd: how can one look through that on a phone and still have an enjoyable conversation while waiting for dinner? The soft shell crabs had sold out by 8.30 which was regrettable, so on the waiter’s advice we went for the lobster and shrimp to share between us (plenty for two). What to drink with lobster? The waiter wanted us to have a California chardonnay from the Napa Valley, but we were attracted by a Viognier — no further information, but at a good price — so we asked to see the sommelier who thought that viognier was a good choice and returned with a 2003 bottle for $175. That was not the price point I had in mind; the right bottle was hard to locate but enjoyable when it did come, after the hors d’œuvres. We liked the pizzetta, but found the ceviche more decoration than substance. The lobster was delicious. The shower curtain divisions were regrettable and rather spoiled the ambiance, as noted by others. Service was very good, attentive, friendly and courteous. All in all, a good dinner but not five stars.
Coming during Restaurant Week is a great value! Service is great and food is always delicious. I love the ambiance.
All the food was delicious and served piping hot...Every dish was nicely presented...Service was excellent...Drinks were delicious...Ambience was excellent.
Overall an amazing dinner!!
Food was okay. Service was indifferent. The shower curtains were a buzz kill. Hope that they won’t be needed much longer
Table in the corner near lots of traffic and service personnel not making me want to try this again and
Kittle House has been a consistently terrific place for dinner. The food and service are wonderful.
Crabtree's Kittle House never disappoints! We went during HVRW and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was not up to par, but it was quite busy--probably the busiest since the pandemic first started. That can certainly be forgiven considering the quality of food and overall ambience.
Delicious restaurant week birthday lunch!
Great all around
Gorgeous location for outdoor lunch on a beautiful day. Food was fabulous, staff attentive and efficient.
Food as always was amazing - loved the out door seating.
Lovely setting in the garden for restaurant week. Ambiance great and food good but had a surly waiter! Three of us had the branzino but when my friend and I asked to not serve it with couscous he said he would serve double vegetables which was great. He brought the fish to one friend who had it with couscous with a delicious sauce. He left off the sauce for the two of us saying well your gluten free and it has some flour in it.... My friend is NOT gluten free and the worse part is when he asked for sauce he got annoyed and went storming off. He did bring the sauce which made the dish delicious. It could have been an honest mistake until he got annoyed he had to go back to get us sauce...He then recovered (realizing he may get a bad tip) and was fine for the rest of the meal. Our 4th had a burger with fries which was delicious! Food good, reasonable price and lovely ambiance. Would return hopefully we will get a different waiter.
Service was slow. When dessert was brought out, never asked if we wanted tea or coffee.
We ordered from the Restaurant Week Menu which is not the full menu they have. Nonetheless, the food had a great taste and it was good, but they could give larger portions. I had to get a lobster roll after my meal as I was still hungry. Desserts were very simple, my wife asked for the brownie which she didn’t eat as it wasn’t that good. However, they wrote Happy Anniversary on our dessert’s plates which it was a nice touch. Overall, it was good but no Wow effect.
Everything was good but although they were not crowded it took about twenty minutes and three requests to get dessert. Coffee refill was offered but after about half an hour surprised these restaurant week lunch was exactly the same as dinner menu which I had enjoyed the previous week
Asparagus soup, Kir Royale, Branzino & Bana Bread Pudding were all delicious.
We took my Mom out for a belated Mother's Day dinner-she is 91- and my two daughters and husband. All of us enjoyed the dinner, table setting and spacing at the table we sat. The appetizers were all delicious-beets, salad and soup and we all had the chicken entre.
Most especially the bread pudding for dessert was out of this world. Our friend's daughter was there earlier for a shower and she had a very nice time as well. We enjoy going to the Kittle House as it always has been a great place to visit. One complaint was the men's bathroom- lack of use for one stall which my husband thought should had been fixed for the weekend guests.
great restuarant - excellent menu. love the ambience as you approach. very good service. reasonable prices for Westchester. Food was very tasty. Will definitely return.
One of the best meals we've had in a long time plus great service.
A bit put off by waiters arguing over which table belonged to whom. The food was pretty good although my ribeye was over cooked past medium. Wanted to give 5 stars but couldn’t
Celebrating my boyfriend’s grad school graduation while taking advantage of Hudson valley restaurant week! All the food was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ate.
Service could have been better. Soup was lukewarm.
There was hair in the macaroni
This restaurant was an excellent surprise for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere (we dined outside in the restaurants garden patio) and the chef is talented. The bread pudding is dreamy. We were there for the Hudson Valley Restaurant week lunch menu.
The meal was perfect
service perfect eating outdoors was beautiful
menu telling story was a terrific idea
An excellent meal with friendly staff. Great ambience. I will definitely be going back.
Food was amazing as usual and Leo our server was so attentive and friendly and he made a great night even greater!!!
Our food and service was great, we had a wonderful time.
Old Mansion with great atmosphere. Care in spread out seating. Attentive staff.
Food was pretty good. Presentation was poor. We sat outside, when I arrived the table had not been set at all. I asked for the heat lamp to be turned on. There was no propane in the tank. They had to fix the tank directly in front of us while we were dining. When they brought out the bread they did not bring out small plates for each of us. Crumbs everywhere until we asked. Never came over to ask how we’re doing, if we needed anything. Overall quite disappointing. For the $$$’s we spent, not a good choice.
Love this restaurant and the food! Kittle House never disappoints. The service is always “spot on”. The menu is always creative and the food is prepared/plated uniquely. The Lobster Bisque is delicious and a family fav. Pastas are as fresh as can be. Desserts are really yummy so make sure to save room!
