Whether you live nearby or are just passing by, Crabtree's Kittle House is always worth a visit. I'd rate the service and welcoming attitude to be particularly outstanding. We were running late and they could not have been more accommodating. The Oregon Pinot Noir was excellent, and a generous pour, and the food was first-rate. My only suggestion would be to offer a sauce option to add to the delicious salmon entree. The cappuccino was perfection.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at the Kittle House. We had venison and short ribs, both were well prepared and tasty, as were the appetizers. They have a good list of wines by the glass.

Father's Day brunch at Crabtree's Kittle House was a treat for everyone. Lovely 4 course prix fixe menu with cocktails, appetizer, entree and scrumptious desserts included. We all shared tastes and everything was delicious but the winner was the brioche french toast which was incredible.

The great buffet is gone! Four-meal Father's Day brunch was at most good. Food is not stellar, nothing on the menu stands out or taste in a way you want to come back. A nice touch was that all available wine/beer/cocktail choices were included in the prix-fix menu. A low touch was that they slam your bill with 20% tip on food AND tax. Just not elegant. in short, the place is not the same it used to be before the pandemic. It is turning into an average restaurant, not a place we were looking forward to returning.

We ate outdoors, which was lovely. Unfortunately, several menu items were no longer available by the time of our reservation (6:45 Sunday evening) - which was very disappointing- but overall, it was a very nice experience and we will certainly return.

My sister in law and I had a wonderful time at the four course brunch this past weekend. The staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious and the outdoor seating ambiance was fabulous. We were in Heaven for a few hours. They were going to seat us in direct sun and I immediately asked for shade or I would roast. They accommodated immediately and created a beautifully shaded table for us. The waitstaff kept the bottomless drinks coming and they did not rush us as we enjoyed our meal.

We were seated in a room to the left of the entrance to the restaurant. There was a large extremely loud party in the bar on the other side of the entrance. Until they went to a private room it was impossible to have a conversation.

The house is historic and charming; it’s the best part about the experience. The dining room needs a face-lift (ceiling is unattractive and inelegant, many of the chairs are beat up, table cloths are cheap, etc.). The food was pretty good (soft shell crab & filet). The shrimp with the filet were tiny. For a surf n turf special the shrimp need to be large and delicious. These were not. The Cesar salad was very mediocre. The service was friendly and attentive at first, then we never saw or waiter the last 20 minutes. Had to ask the bust boy for our check. For 3 people the bill was close to $300. The experience was not worth $300. I’ll come back, but only to the bar to have a low key dinner. I would not return for a dinner in the dining room. The attention to detail across the board needs to be upgraded a lot.

Great food, and not too expensive for lunch. It was only a few dollars more than a mediocre place, and the food was outstanding, ambiance excellent, and view wonderful. The service was very good, although slow. My only real complaint was the beverage value. We both had 2 sodas each, for which they charged $16, which is outrageous. $4 each for small glasses of Diet Coke with no free refill is not a fair price. I understand paying $18 for the Burratta appetizer, and $20 for a brisket sandwich, because the quality was so good, so more than worth it. It’s a rip off to charge $4 for a little soda and then charge again for the refill. Overall, a great experience. Just stick to tap water or don’t let them refill the soda.

Typically do not leave reviews, whether an experience is good or bad, but the Mother’s Day dinner was underwhelming. My husbands filet was well done versus the medium rare ordered. The food was dropped and the person bringing it just walked away without asking us to check temperature. He proceeded to (half) eat what he had been given because no one returned to check on us for a while, ultimately until our utensils laid across our plates signaling that we were done. In the time that I took my daughter to two different bathrooms, first one had a flooded stall and the person I told looked at me like okay what am I supposed to do, no one went to our table to ask if we’d like any coffee or tea with our desserts that had yet to be dropped off. Then, the desserts came which prompted the coffee or tea question which was turned down because we would have been done with our desserts by the time those arrived. We could have complained but at the same time it wasn’t worth it we just wanted to get our check and go. What was frustrating was the automatic 20% gratuity and area to provide additional tip. Without the autograt, we honestly would have still left 20%, but as someone who had worked in the industry for years, I believe that deserved gratuity should never be assumed especially for a party of 3 in an instance where service was less than stellar.

Filet mignon was delicious. However, the vegetarian Shepard's pie was a total miss. It was more like a soup than any Shepard's pie I've seen. No mashed potatoes, they were pureed potatoes. We couldn't eat it, sent it back. Everything else was good. House salad is pick from the garden fresh taste.

My cocktail had to be returned. The ceviche was terrific and the lobster roll was very average despite better reviews. Desserts were good not great. Overall, I just expected it to be better. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t make me want to make a reservation to return.

Among six diners, not a single item was less than utterly delicious and cooked to perfection. And amazingly good coffee to boot. All in a lovely low-key relaxed setting. A real joy. Pork chops cooked medium melted in your mouth. Brussels sprouts salads and sides: exceptional. Pecan pie: no words to describe.

Beautiful setting for birthday celebration with Magnolia's in bloom right outside the window...food was excellent as was service. I had the New Old Fashioned...it was tasty but not sure how many shots were in the drink...was pretty strong and was definitely not going to drive.

For a restaurant of this caliber, I was very disappointed with the service. I'm not a particularly demanding diner, but this was too much for both me and my more relaxed husband. It was to the point where it really negatively impacted the dining experience. (1) We were seated at a table with used napkins. No apologies from waitstaff when we pointed it out. (2) I sent a cocktail back because it tasted terrible (everyone at the table agreed, otherwise someone still would have drunk it) and I'm sure there were ingredients missing, which is what I told the waiter nicely. The waiter accommodated but was not at all apologetic, and I overheard him sniping to another waiter that "the lady didn't like it." (3) My medium steak came out very rare. (4) Desserts we ordered never arrived before we got fed up and just left (the order was never put in). There was a wedding going on the same night, so I guess my advice would be to go on a night when there isn't a wedding!

Although we appreciate unobtrusive table service, it would have been improved if there was someone to check intermittently if anything was needed. We had to signal someone's attention to request more water. Perhaps the prime waitstaff will be able to coordinate with someone on the staff to address this. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.
