Very nice ambience, appropriate for the fare. Great location for us. Food quality was fantastic, TRY “THE WORKS”!!,...the flavor was amazing on the boil! If we’re back in San Diego,...we will eat here again! The serving size was more than expected. We had more than we could eat.
I’m very huge on peel and eat shell fish places! I have a few favorites in Denver but this one beats them all out! I always like to order mine Cajun Style - HOT because I feel like the spicy flavors get a little cooked out during the steaming process ... but the waitress definitely wasn’t lying when she said Hot was ACTUALLY HOT!! I ate through 2 pounds of shell fish for a very reasonable price... my mouth was dying but the flavor was amazing.
The quality of the food was fantastic, there was a lot of meat in everything ... the crab meat came out of the legs easily, which usually means it wasn’t over cooked and was really juicy. Also, I don’t use tools to crack open everything... being able to use my hands easily without getting stabbed by the shell was great!
The service was also very good. Will be back next time I’m in Denver.
If you enjoy seafood, this is a wonderful place to get hands on with the food.
First visit to Crab Hut and wasn't disappointed. My family wanted a place to get messy and this place delivered with fresh, tasty seafood with great service. The ambiance and exterior of the place is something to be desired though.
Me enfermé del estómago, creo que fue la sopa
Good seafood selection. Tasty. Their idea of hot/spicy was mainly cayenne pepper -- good, but mainly heat more than flavor. Still good. And, I will go back.
Our server was very helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner. The crab was quite a bit messier than we expected, but very delicious!
Dinner for 2 on St Patty’s day Service was excellent and love the spicy crab legs! Very casual place and we are repeats.....
Prices were kind of high, but overall we enjoyed our meal and had a good time here. Food came out fast and the waitress was very friendly.
Fun place, good service we had Ken. Food was very good.
Super flavorful food and fun dining for people like us who enjoy eating with our hands. We’ll definitely keep coming back!
We went here for my partners birthday and loved it! The staff weee very pleasant and helpful
Accommodating food allergies and everyone enjoyed their food immensely-we will be back!
Delicious food, great group location, and fun eating with your hands.
Service and food was excellent!!!!!! Our waiter was fun, friendly and energetic. Food was perfect!
Everyone in our party thought the food was good. Each order was ample as we all took leftovers home. Servers were very attentive. Worth the visit.
Fun place. All food eaten with hands so it can get messy. We learned too late that you can ask for plastic gloves. Portions were ample and you cannot beat $4 happy hour beers. Service was excellent.
Loved the Alaskan King Crab boil Combo!!!!!
Service is fast and excellent.
Best to make reservation via OPEN TABLE.
Popular place. Reserve EARLY.
Food is always great, service always terrible! This time we went for our grandsons 18th birthday and the server was informed and was still inattentive, lax and had to be asked for every little thing! They did sing happy birthday to my grandson, but our sever was not in atendence. Very poor service on an important night.
Food was absolutely delicious! Good portion sizes. Kinda cool just eating on the table. Gets messy!
We are from the Bay Area so it was great to find something in San Diego that reminds us of Boiling Crab. I really like what they had to offer and the tastes were uniquely there's. The sauce was a little sweet but had lots of garlic which I liked. There was meaty crab in the snow legs and sausages were not too spicy. Good flavor and they have different tvs that were playing the different basketball games happening that night. Good find in Downtown and left us feeling good.
Had a great evening at Crab Hut, the staff was very good and the food was excellent. We had a party of 10 and they were able to accommodate on short notice.
First time here and it will not be the last. Thank you
It was really good!
The service was great with the guy Daniel and the food as always was delicious.
A very good find this far from Cajun Country. Hurrican was excellent. Service was quick and the food was very good and tasty. No complaints.
Excellent food and overall nice place . They need to bottle the sauce for the crabs because it's just that good.
It was fun and delicious dinner! I would like to go back with group again!
Had a great time.. much better than 1st time.. the male server was fantastic...
Really good boil, but wish the crawfish were bigger. These bugs were really small and the meat wouldn't pull off the tail easily. I prefer the Cajun boil over the Full House. Shrimp were large and fantastic!
Although disappointed with the size of crawfish, I'd definitely eat there again. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Food was a B+ / The sauce was bland
Serivice was a B- /
Ambiance was a C
We enjoyed our evening at The Crab Hut.
Our server was great. Very attentive but not intrusive. Food was decent. We ordered the Sampler Boat which is a LARGE basket of fried shrimp, fish, calamari, fries and okra. All the seafood was seriously overcooked. Also order the Spicy Jambalaya. It is spicy and the shrimp was done just right. But the rice was overcooked and mushy.
The crab was awesome and would recommend anyone to visit
My kids took me there for my birthday my hairdresser recommended this restaurant said seafood was great and he wasn't kidding and everybody in my party loved it my kids and I will definitely be going back !
My husband and I were staying at the US Grant and this place was down the street. I made reservations for 12:30pm because opening tends to be slow and we had our 3 month old daughter with us so we needed space for her stroller.
We were 30mins early, but the host was okie with that since the restaurant was empty except for another group with a baby. Audrey was our waitress and she was nice enough to advise us to hold off on ordering the jambalaya--what we ordered was more than enough for 2 people. The sampler boat was huge and we loved everything in it. The only downside was that they put tons of fried okras (which my husband didn't like) and not enough of everything else. I think it was 30 pieces of these tiny fried okras to 3 shrimps, and a handful of onion rings, tiny fried fish, waffle fries, and the rest. The shrimp and crawfish mix with the Full House was delicious. I loved the sauce that I ended up dipping our friend food into it.
The waitress was attentive enough; she dropped by twice to check up on us.
Overall, the food is good, the value is right, the service is nice, & they had a changing table in the bathroom (I definitely appreciated this since I had to change my daughter). We definitely will be back when we're in town.
The waitress wasn't very helpful all of the muscles came out closed and they didn't seem concerned no king crab legs..they brought one out after we said there were nine… Not a very good dining experience
It was GREAT! The waiters were very kind and supportive of everything I needed and wanted.
Our waitress was very attentive and provided a great customer service experience. She recommended great drinks and seafood options as well.
The shrimp, sausage, corn and crab cakes we're excellent. The snow crab was overcooked. The spices made up for it. Not cheap.
Great food. Crab legs were some of the best I've ever had.
It paid to have a reservation. Will be coming again.
