Crab House at Pier 39 Ratings and Reviews
Food arrived quickly. Crab legs and clams were obviously not fresh. Crab legs were OK in size but a little dry and clams were chewy. Shrimp was OK but not great. Seasoning was good. Burger and fries were good but not made to order. Burger was cooked medium-well when we ordered well done. Waiter never checked on us once after we placed our order. I had to ask several people for service. Some staff told us to ask our waiter and others never returned. Our waiter was pretty attentive to the table next to us but never once even looked our way. We were ignored and service was nonexistent. I finally flagged our server down after we had finished our meal for over 15 minutes already. It took him another 15 minutes to return with my request for a soda refill (which we had asked several staff during the span of about 15 minutes) and a slice of birthday cake and candle. He did return with both and did sing happy birthday though. Even though food was just OK and service was poor, I still gave him 20% tip because he was not rude and delivered the free slice of tiramisu and sang for us too.
The food was great! Service was good. I felt as if the waitress we had hovered over our table. Didn’t really give us space to eat. Didn’t know they give free refills for coffee. So that’s the reason for good service. She helped other tables but always stood over our table. But all in all it’s a great restaurant!
Loved this restaurant. We went here here for a friend’s birthday and had a great experience overall. Our waiter was awesome, the seafood was all incredible and the restaurant was really cute. If you have a larger party I’d suggest making a reservation early and requesting a booth, because their standard tables are a bit cramped is all.
My first time coming on a Monday and it wasn't as touristy crowded, quit pleasant. Our server was great very attentive (sorry i don't know her name but of asian/vietnamese maybe). We were celebrating my daughter's 20th bday and surprised her with a Tiramisu! I was soo happy. Everything was delicious as always!!!
Grandsons and I were on vacation. Made reservations ahead of time. Our reservations was honored, which was nice because it was super busy. Hostesses were so nice and friendly. Food was spectacular. We enjoyed our experience so much!!! Will visit again, for sure!
It was my first time going there. The food was amazing. Our server was quick and very attentive. I went there for my birthday dinner. I was expecting the waitress to do something extra since I was asked the reason of my reservation. When we arrived we were a little confused if we had to make line to let them know we had a reservation or if we could just walk up to the front to get seated. We made line behind a group of 5 people, until we realized that there was another group that walked to the front to check in. Maybe a sign would help out. Aside from that we loved this place and I would totally come back.
The food was delicious. But the tip demanded was so high than expected. I would like you to include it into the price in advance. The easterners are not accustomed to it. That was the only thing which made me disappointed.
We reserved two tables for 7 people in advance on 11th Sept. It's a pity that there is no big table for more than 6 people, and two tables can't be put together because of fixed model. Therefore, the manager put a chair at one end of the table for six, so we could sit together. The table was a bit small relative to the tableware and the number of people. It's a worth thing that the seafood and each dish were very delicious. I'll come here with my family and my friends next time!
