Crab House at Pier 39
It's always outstanding there and Son will take care of you at the door
Excellent service
Food overestimated
I wont repeat!!
Bucket list thats all!!!
Everything about this restaurant experience was incredible! I suggest that all wanting to dine here make a reservation otherwise you will be waiting for 30-45 minutes. I thankfully made one en route and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We ordered double shrimp and whole crab, a basil martini, and tiramisu. I could not have had a better experience. It was fun, delicious, and excellent service.
I ordered a whole crab and double shrimp. The size of crab is ok but the shrimp servings are too small. I ordered the double shrimp but seems like there only 15-20 shrimp per double serve.
Food was great. But the hostess and the server weren’t too nice. We went with our twin toddlers, so when we walked in the hostess had this weird look on her face and told me to stand behind her table because I was too forward... due to our stroller and the space was a little too tight at the entrance, my husband had to move backwards with the stroller so I could fit. They server, never came to our table once to check on us. When we had to ask for the check, I noticed he was checking other tables but would stop right before ours. We had to flag him to ask for a check.
YEET YEET YEET
Food was awesome and was called on time for reservation!!
Just okay. Good service. Expensive and served frozen crab at the height of the crab season.
The food was delicious
I was celebrating my daughters birthday. We had a great time together. The only problem was someone with their daughter that was screaming out of control and the parents had no control what so ever. It was very annoying. They kept getting up taking the little kid outside but it did not help she just kept screaming every time they brought her back in the restaurant.
We've been there several times and got quite good impression and quite satisfied with the crabs we ordered, so this time while our big boss came in to San Francisco we definitely recomended the CRAB HOUSE, however it's a poor experience this time, the crab were overcooked, the meat was very dry, so we complained with the waiter, and then the boss or manager(I guess) came to our table, but he denied it's overcooked, he said several reasons why it's dry. we won't visit this restaurant to our friends.
The most delicious food in U.S. And very friendly service also kind! I want to visit again if I have more time in San Francisco!!
Service was good. Crabs and clams were a little bit dry. If the space between table and table were wider would be good.
We have been coming here for the past two years and will continue too. The scenery and food are great.
Service was good, however people around us received their food sooner than us, and we could tell they ordered the same thing. The food wasn't good in fact I left the restaurant with my stomach hurting. I wouldn't got back even for a free meal.
The BEST place for crab! The crab for 4 is delicious. Every year, we bring new friends and family to experience The Crab House.
Very loud, and crowded tables. I had the soup which was nice along with crab cakes that are very small, my husband had the half crab and enjoyed
Very touristy and over priced, but your on the wharf so that’s what you get. Was very loud with people, crying babies, and we were next to kitchen. You have to pay for your sides which are about $10+. Crab chowder was good but we found other places in the area with better and drinks were good. Was ok since on vacation but we wouldn’t visit again.
good service, good food
I loved Crab, shrimp and the butter sauce! I want to visit again in the future.
I got Dungeness crab and it was delicious. Crab was fair price, but the beverages were too expensive. 9 bucks for a pint of beer.
The staff were great. The area was small and felt like cramped sardines. Is over priced for the amount of food one gets. I understand that this is a tourist spot. The food was good. Just felt not as satisfied as I hoped.
Had the iron skillet roasted shrimp, crab chowder and the crab feast. Way too much food for three grown men! Definitely try the crab chowder. I love crab legs but that chowder might have been just as good.
Thanks for wonderful lunch!
Actually I worried about restaurant beause of a few nagtive recent reviews.
But everything is so wonderful!!!!
Also, every assisdants are very kind!
Thanks again!
It was awesome memory!
try seafood!especially mussels and shrimp.
This is the second time I came, it is still as good as the first one.
We accepted the waiter's advise just ordered enough.
Will come back again in February for out of state guests.
Good food. Great service. A little cramped but overall a good dining experience. Will take all our out of town guests here again
Born and raised in the Bay Area I hardly ever take advantage of all it has to offer. Pier 39, and surrounding area are very rarely on my "go to" list. It was a special birthday celebration and we wanted to do something touristy. We were not disappointed. It was lovely. Luckily, the weather cooperated too. We were able to take some great photos and the food was perfect. The food actually exceeded our expectations. It was delicious! Service was excellent. We had a table overlooking the bay and marina which was fantastic. Could not have had a better time.
Made last minute reservation but was seated right next to the window, beautiful view of the bay.
Ordered bruschetta and the shrimp with full crab
Plenty of food for two people
Bruschetta : needed a little more flavor
Shrimp : has the shell and tail on, but I didn’t find that a problem. It did need more spices however
crab: again, it was huge. Perfectly cooked, was nearly perfect
The sauces that came with it, there was a garlic and butter one that was fascinating. 10/10. But the other one I can’t quite tell what it was but I didn’t bother using it, I would just ask for double of the garlic butter instead.
The staff was attentive but not overwhelming, friendly, and very helpful when asked about the areas.
If you’re craving seafood definitely a must place to visit.
I will definitely come back and try out the rest of the menu
We were most disappointed with the food. The crabs were very dried out. So were the mussels.
Cool staff! Had a great conversations. Ate some amazing food. I will definitely be back again. Recommend the crab lasagna, it was a pleasant surprise.
Great food, great view! Had lunch solo and it was hard to get service being a single person sitting at a small table. Getting refills or my order taken was a nightmare but the food was so good and made up for it.
We have been there several times. My daughter loves their seafood soup. However, it is so crowed and the space of each table is so narrow that my dad can hardly fit in and he is not tall. It is even smaller than seats in airplane. Too crowded and the service is getting poor. Soup is still good but definitely they need to improve their seating area envirmental and service. I will not recommend it to my friends until I see the improvements.
Food was amazing. First time I had Dungeness crab and I want more. Hope I can come back here when I visit San Fran again.
Not impressive like first time but still delicious food. Recommended.
The restaurant is on Pier 39 and facing the bay. Fantastic view with great crab. It's perfect for 4+ people so you can order the must-have crab fest. Should reserve in advance as the line is very long especially in holiday season
Excelente comida, buen servicio, pero demasiado ruido.
I made a reservation at this restaurant for me and my girlfriend and we had high expectations because the reviews were great. It was our first time at the venue, the food was great, but the service wasnt. I asked thr server if the combo was enough for us both and he was like yeah yeah yeah its enough. We saw many parties of two sitting in a four people table and we asked if we could move since the table was too small for what we had ordered but they denied the request. I knew it would be hard to get a bigger table, so i just asked for a chair to put my girlfriend bag, but also was denied. The food we ordered came and as we predicted, the table was too small. My girlfriend even burnt her hand in the hot plate since we couldnt move properly. After we finished our meal, we noticed some tables had bread on the table and we asked about it right before we were paying and his response was you have to ask for it. How were we supposed to know? and he was so do you want it now? The restaurant's food was good overall but our experience with this server was much below expected. I drove 10 hours to have a nice time in SF but this happened, at least other places at Fisherman's wharf made up for it.
Here is a nice view and good and real crab foods. Will be back !
Crab house is Great!
Food and ambiance is very wonderful!
I am recommend for stew and too two crab and combo(mussel and shrimp).
