The refined decore and price, don't actually match the food quality.

Food good but the bus boy kept grabbing dishes from in front of us even though we were not finished. I literally had to pull my dinner plate out of his hand. We watched the waiter talking with others for extended time while we were trying to get his attention.

Cozy, elegant, delicious food, and great genuine customer service from beginning to end!

Had a delicious fresh fish dinner overlooking the La Jolla Cove. The crabbed stuffed Mahi Mahi was outstanding and my husband loved his Grilled Tuna with Polenta. Highly recommend.

Crab catcher was outstanding. Fabulous seafood and drink menu. Servers were friendly and attentive. One of our favorites while vacationing in San Diego area. We would return in a heartbeat.

I had made an appointment on open table and asked for a nice table and we got a beautiful table. The service was amazing the food was good and the View was spectacular. Will definitely go back again even though we live in Coronado we will make the effort to get up there

Beautiful views and great decor! The waiter was alright he was a younger gentleman but what made up for it was the older gentleman dressed in all black. He was hilarious and very knowledgeable about the restaurant, food, and area. Great experience overall and great food!

Derive was less desirable. We waiting long time to delivers our appetizer then entree.

Our waitress way oversold us on the food. She suggested excessive amounts of food, and we way over ordered. I know the tip is a percentage of the total bill, but she outright lied about the size of the crab cakes and the tacos. Obnoxious. I am never quick to say anything negative, but had to this time.

We sat down and we were waited on by a very friendly person. Things were appearing to go well, but after placing an order, we watch tables come in after us all getting their food. After complaining our food finally arrived. One hour it took. No apologies until we had the check in hand and it was tip time.

The food presentation was very nice. The service was great.

4 star food in a 5 star setting. Lovely romantic ocean view, attentive service. Fans of freshly flown in crab may balk at the $150 tab. On the other hand the lobsters were reasonable and tasty. Prep styles are a bit too rudimentary to wow a gourmet.

Celebrated my husband's 80th BD with our two teen granddaughters. Parked in lot under the restaurant on Cove St, 2 hrs free with validation. Arrived at noon on a Weds and got the window table with a view of the ocean as I requested on Open Table. Our section was empty except for a couple who came later, most had outdoor or patio seating. Our waiter Josh was friendly, courteous and efficient. Started with deep fried Calamari as a starter. I had the Puerto Nuevo Lobster with rice and beans and I choose flour tortillas. Dish was good, except I would recommend they wrap the two hot tortillas in foil wrapper that covers the entire tortilla as the 2nd one was left exposed on both ends and was cold and hard when I went to eat it. Beans were very tasty as was the homemade corn salsa. Husband had clam chowder and the special Caesar salad with crab and shrimp, he enjoyed his selection. One granddaughter had the two Alaskan Cod fish tacos that were full of yummy looking ingredients. The other one had the Crab Catcher BLT, both enjoyed their selections. We didn't have room for desert, but Josh came out with a complimentary candle lit slice of Paradise Pie and four teaspoons. Pie was delicious and enough for the four of us to enjoy. Normally a place like this is a bit pricey for us, but I got a Groupon special and he had recvd a generous BD Restaurant gift card, so only paid $4 out if pocket and 20% tip. If Groupon has another special, I will definitely purchase again and just the two of us return.

The food was mediocre and that ridiculous extra tax they tried to tag on us because it’s expensive to run a restaurant was absolutely not acceptable.......my suggestion? Don’t waste your money on this place. The best part of the experience was the view......

Great location and very friendly and skilled staff. Free parking below off of Coast Dr is a plus (tell construction workers you are going to restaurant and they will let you through). However the food fell short in several places and for what you pay you should get close to top notch. Perhaps going on a Wednesday wasn't the best idea. Best items were the lobster pasta and crab cake. Pasta sauce was fabulous: creamy sherry with lobster pieces. I was surprised by the additional shelled half lobster on top; I let my husband deal with cleaning it -lol- and it was very good. Crab cake was tall and full of Crab, my husband wanted more lumps and but I thought good and accompanying sauces yummy. Octopus app had a great presentation; abit rubbery but not bad. Clams app were disappointing. Hardly any broth and what was there was not great- an off taste. A couple closed ones (which should be removed) and a couple gritty. For $22 better is hoped for. Another disappointment was stuffed fish entree. It was sooooo small! I mean laughable. Like a "tasting" portion with maybe two bites of something on the side, $34!
Id recommend sticking will whole shellfish and settle in for some cracking and cleaning, that may be what they do best here.

Asked for an outside table and we got the best one! Seafood ordered was fresh and exceptionally well prepared. Had Norwegian salmon, fresh fish of the day and calamari. Service was very nice and the pear martini was awesome! I totally recommend

We love this place. I'd been here five years ago and took my wife. It became one of her favorite restaurants.
I can't think of a restaurant with better ambiance. The food and wine is amazing.

Disappointed the Crab Coctail (crabmeat) is no longer on the menu. They did make it for me but, it ain’t on the menu

Food is always amazing. The heaters on the patio kept us warm enough to enjoy the window view of the La Jolla shoreline.

Absolutely delicious! Wonderful service and the most fabulous view! Highly recommend the crab omelette, oysters on the half shell and octopus!

We had a lovely time at Crab Catcher! Wow the crab bisque was unreal and the service was so pleasant. The outdoor patio and view are gorgeous. We had the best waiter!!

Truly enjoyed our meal and time there with family and friends. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked and all the staff wonderful.

What a great restaurant!! It was my wife's birthday and right from the moment we got there, the staff was courteous and ready to serve us. An outstanding selection of seafood and other entrees. The Calamari Steak appetizer was the best we have had. Both lobster dishes we ordered were excellent and at a reasonable price. The complimentary birthday slice of macadamia nut ice cream pie was excellent and enough for both of us.
Kudos to Tori our server who made sure that everything was as we ordered and checked on us periodically, but not too often which was nice.

Great view, food was good but not awesome, good drinks, and good service.

It was our 20th anniversary. I had arranged flowers and fift to be there. And a waterside table. Everything was taken care of exactly as arranged. The details in conjunction with an excellent meal, made it a very special night.
