CQ's Ratings and Reviews
From the moment we were greeted at the door until we left, the ambiance and service were superb. Our server was respectful and knowledgeable. Our meal was delicious from the appetizers to the bread pudding for dessert. The tuna was outstanding and perfectly prepared with my tuna almost raw to my dinner partners' cooked a little more. The pork chop was delicious, too. We can't wait to return!
First time visiting CQ'S. My wife and I spend 3 to 5 weeks a year in Hilton Head and usually go to our favorite places. Finally decided to give this place a try. Has definitely become one of our favorites and will go back again this week with some family. Great food.
Excellent meal - only one recommendation. The server that brought our food to the table was not friendly at all. He brought our food - promptly "dropped" our food in front of us and left quickly. This happened each time - at the appetizer, main course and dessert. It was noticeably a cool approach. Our wait staff (who took our order; checked on us) was lovely and attentive.
This was our first time dining at CQ’s. A good friend recommended it and raved about the food and atmosphere. We decided to give it a try to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We were thrilled with our evening! Food, atmosphere, and our server, Kristen, were all sensational. We can’t wait to come back!
Excellent meal tonight at CQs. Food was superb, the best meal in many restaurant nights. Debbie was extremely competent, met our needs without being intrusive but friendly as well. She recognized us from previous service at a companion restaurant years ago. We’ve seen CQs before on many trips to Hilton Head but always felt the menu was too traditional for our tastes. Not so. Had amazing spicy sautéed calamari followed by a delicious autumn salad, which they split for us in the kitchen. Lobster risotto was yummy, as were the scallops special. I️ have a feeling this will become a must dine restaurant when we return for our annual Hilton Head trip.
I was very impressed with how accommodating the staff was as I slowly increased our party from 4 to 6 to 8 throughout the day of our reservation... They couldn’t have been more gracious and put us at a table with a server that was terrific. All of us were very impressed and will definitely return...
We are local residents and decided to try CQ's for my wifes 68th birthday. when i made the reservation i mentioned it was her birthday and you would think they would do something. well no, in fact we got a terrible table downstairs, another couple complained about theirs and were moved up. we did not say a word. the food was average, the drinks were well poured, the service was mediocre and the bill was expensive.
CQ’s is in Harbor Town in Sea Pines. It’s the only restaurant that we visited in three days that’s not owned by the Sea Pines Resort. It’s also the best! The style is definitely not beachy…a few rooms and lots of dark wood and tasteful clutter. The dinner menu is full of mostly cost-effective temptations. The wine list is definitely cheaper than in any Sea Pines owned establishment. KJ Chardonnay, a widely available wine was 30% cheaper than almost next-door. It’s also the only restaurant that served an amuse bouche. As we had a big lunch we ordered courses that were small or planned to take some home. My pan seared duck breast was delicious and I didn’t make it to the confit leg! It was accompanied by brussels sprouts “petals”.. deliciously tasteful, unlike the bitter taste you get with the normal little cabbage style. We also had quail with butternut puree and braised pork belly with soy glaze and apple slaw. Friends has a large grilled rack of lamb and cavatelli with lobster in a cream sauce. For dessert we sampled crème brulee and a pecan tarte. And a special birthday taste. Definitely, a must try if you’re within ten miles.
Have gone here every year and everything has been excellent. Last evening I had the black grouper which was supposed to be served with risotto. It was served with some sort of porridge. I had the waitress remove it from the plate. My husbands pork chop was very good
