Great place for a quiet meal in an historic setting, we read the history card (available upon request) which gave the evening even more meaning. Jewel, our waitress was patient and great at guiding us thru the menu all the way thru dessert! Highly recommended.
Beautiful menu with wonderful combinations of ingredients and flavors! Very hospitable and accommodating to special requests. Beaut holiday decor and warm and welcoming environment, our favorite upon each return to Hilton Head!
The best restaurant on Hilton Head,by far
One of the best dining experiences all around the ambiance, the service, and the food were all incredible. First time in Hilton Head, will absolutely be back to cq next time we come
Called to say we were running a little late (10 min) for our 7:15 reservation. Host said OK.
Arrived at ~7:25 (parking was scarce) and host made no acknowledgement other than to say “just a moment”.
Were seated at a nice table where there were booths in the past.
Waited ‘til main course selection to choose wines. Wife chose salad and bisque entree while I chose short ribs, cautioning our waitress to request “more-meat-than-fat”, please.
Sampled the tri-flavored butter w/ cool, ordinary dinner rolls. Asked server to renew the bread and butter when it was first offered, and needed to remind him later to do so.
When the ribs were served, I tested the meat and found that it was not as I had requested. Our waitress immediately returned it to the kitchen and came back to say it would only be a few minutes.
The replacement was perfect! - as was the warm, fresh bread and butter.
We enjoyed a very nice dinner, topped by the delicious brownie cookies from the hostess station.
I am so disappointed in CQ’s for pulling the lamest tourist trap trick and I can’t believe they stooped to it and I fell for it. I like the place. Have been going there for decades since I was a kid and celebrated some family birthdays there over the years. Happy to pay their overpriced wine prices ($150 for Chappellet Signature, really?) and full prices for average food for years. But charging almost 100% more ($60) for their very average “special” filet than their typical entree’ price without any warning is such a bush-league, tourist trap move that is so beneath them it changes my whole impression of the place. I really couldn’t care less about the money, but the principle offends me. Glad there are so many emerging options on the island so I can permanently take this one off my list.
Very good food ruined by very poor service. Server said he was giving us 3 types of butters but only 2 were on the plate......so, so quality rolls not warm. When server brought salad and soup we asked for fresh pepper, he said he would get our waitress.......took over 5 minutes while salad sat in front of us. Asked for 2nd round of drinks with dinner but did not get them until meal was almost finished. Sorbet was almost ice and not smooth.
Fan in back room was going too speed blown cold air out door with nobody in the empty room for 45 minutes.
Very, very disappointed to say the least.......we are locals and definitely not at all like past visits!
Food was subpar. Service was fair at best.
A thanksgiving dinner tradition for
My family that does not disappoint.
Kristin was best ever lol even got berries and whipped cream right
Great food and excellent service!
As usual; fabulous. Always go when we’re in Hilton Head.
First timers. We thoroughly enjoyed the early dining menu - chowder, salad & Loch Duarte salmon with the bread pudding for dessert. Excellent meal!
Great steaks and a rather nice wine list. Kristen did a very nice job. This is definitely one of Hilton Head’s best restaurants.
As always the ambiance food and service was great, tonight Amber was the one who did such a great job.
Best steaks in town! Our table enjoyed the filet and duck entrees. Everything was done to perfection and our cocktails was make perfectly. Definitely looking forward to another visit in the near future. Many thanks to Jules our server for tending to our needs!!
The food and service at CQ’s was outstanding as always. It is our favorite restaurant on the island!
A very nice spot for a better than average meal.
Service was excellent
CQ’s is our absolute favorite place to eat on the island....hands down! They NEVER disappoint.
Jules was our server. She was great. All courses were served in a timely manor.
We had our first meal at CQ's in 1980 on our honeymoon and have eaten there many, many times since. We celebrated our 39th anniversary this past time and the staff was very thoughtful and wanted to make our anniversary special...which they succeeded in doing. The meals were great, the server (Cody) was awesome and the evening perfect. Always a great experience.
Thanks to Cody we had a great night out with family & friends!
Such a cozy place with amazing, fresh food. I’d love to eat there in the winter!
Felt like the food was overpriced
After several people recommended it, we had dinner at CQ's for the first time recently with 2 friends. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal. The server was knowledgeable and helpful. The chef accommodated requested changes. We will definitely go back.
Great food and atmosphere
CQs is a gem tucked away in Sea Pines - always lovely setting/ambiance, great specials from the chef, Cody is the BEST server! The specials are creative - and like the fine restaurant that it is, the sides are not the same for every dish! Beautiful presentation and the chocolate martini is a treat!
Best steak on all of Hilton Head! The pork chop was outstanding as well. Nice wine list. Hoping to return soon. Jerica did an excellent job taking care of us.
Ad always food service and ambience incredible. Thanks Amber
Wonderful spot in the Sea Pines Resort area of Hilton Head Island. Pleasantly surprised with the ambiance and bar camaraderie. Easy to get to by foot, bicycle or local hotel shuttles
very, very noisy that evening
very average food quality: uncooked green beans, uncooked Dauphinoise potatoes, uncooked seabass
Absolutely Fabulous !!! We come here every year for our anniversary, never disappoints!!!!
We had a lovely anniversary dinner. We have been celebrating at cq’s for years but also enjoy sitting at the bar for everyday dining.
We vacation one week on Hilton head island every year and never miss CQ's.
It's always excellent and never disappoints.
Went to CQ’s when we were in Sea Pines for our honeymoon 44 years ago. Still going and love it each time we go. Great food and wonderful service.
Everything was delicious! We started with She Crab soup and it was the best I’ve ever had. For our main courses we had the salmon and chicken dishes. Both were amazing!
Great food and our server, Phoebe was wonderful- professional and knowledgeable.
Cq's is always a treat! The short ribs were melt in your mouth tender and the tuna was delectable; always my favorite! Don't miss out on the chef's daily fruit cobbler!
Food is always great and bar is always hopping. Had a great bottle of Sass wine
