CQ Ratings and Reviews
The steaks are excellent!!! One negative note is if you walk up, you are asked if you have a reservation and if you don’t they turn you away with an almost empty restaurant at times and you can step in hallway and go online and make a reservation and they seat you...makes no sense...look at your reservation list, see if u have enough tables, if so, seat walk ups...smh
I would recommend this restaurant for having one of the best filets on the Coast! They always cook them to perfection. They are very tender, flavorful and juicy. The only thing that would make the dinner any better is if they would bring back their spinach salad.
Worst seafood platter on the entire coast! The crab claws and oysters were horrible. The crab cakes we orderred for an appetizer were strong and nasty. This was a comped meal and if I had to pay cash for this meal.. I would of been really upset. If you are a fan of fresh seafood then try Mary Mahoneys and forget about CQ ! At one time CQ was a really great restaurant but they have changed for the worse. The only plus was the waiters were great!
second time at CQ brought my best friend and her mother for her mother's birthday, Andrea our server made her feel special not only did she provide exceptional serve she went above and beyond by singing to her while serving dessert she asked her name and secretly told the singer Jesse hill it was her birthday and he sang a song to her, we looked at her she had tears in her eyes, she felt so special. It was the best dining experience of her life. The food was great also but the service was beyond great. I recommend anyone going to have Andrea serve them it a dinning experience you won't forget. Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends. PS the crab cakes were to die for.
Have been here 5 or 6 times - never been bad but our last visit was very good. We had a small filet with a lobster tail and both were nearly perfect, if not perfect. The French onion soup was quite good and the Caprese salad was very good. The only thing we didn't care for was the roasted cauliflower. Will definitely recommend.
1st time at this lovely restaurant ,and such a great experience. We will definitely be returning! Along with recommending CQ to our family and friends. Andrea our server made us feel so welcomed and never rushed, along with wonderful suggestions.. From the time we were greeted, to the end of our meal, we were pleasantly surprised with such great food and service. We sat in a booth in which we had a fantastic view!. "I tell you, there is NOT a bad seat in this beautiful restaurant." Started out with a nice glass of Sangria along with Shanghai Shrimp to share. Our food was outstanding. Also ended with the best cheesecake, and cream brulee' ever. We just happened to stumble in on a night in which we were Blown Away with the entertaner! "Jesse''. Great management, service, food and entertainment. All around GREAT experience! One of the Gulf Coast Hidden Treasures! Thank you!
I have gone to CQ for the past few years to celebrate my birthday. CQ & it's staff never disappoints. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly & efficient. I always get a complimentary dessert for my birthday & the presentation is beautiful but also very delicious!!! I highly recommend this place!
Once again I have to give high praises to the Manager, Chef and Staff at CQ, Had a last minute issue and had to bump my 630 reservation to 7 Pm, I contacted the Casino Host explained the issue and she took care of it for me, When we arrived we were seated and our server Andrea arrived with our usual drinks in hand, and promptly took the order for the 3rd person that accompanied us, Our orders were taken, Since we have become regulars, the manager and several of the staff stopped at the table to greet us. When our food arrived it was perfection on a plate. Our guest was very pleased with his selection and all plates were empty going back...
My steak was over cooked and was less than 6 ozs. I always order this and it's the first time I wasn't 100% satisfied. My husband's steak was also over cooked, but both had terrific flavor. Everything else was perfect and my granddaughters (and my husband & I) were made to feel so special.
My sister and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was attentive, food was outstanding, and view was wonderful. Randy our server is a gem. The manager and chef stopped by our table to gauge our response for the food. Will go back to this restaurant...can't wait until the next time.
My husband and I came to Mississippi for a little getaway for our anniversary. I read other reviews about
CQ so we decided to give it a try
The staff was very good and the food was very good. I got the NY Strip and it was seasoned just right and very tender. We will go back!!
This is a gem tucked away at the top of the casino. The chef brought out a palate-teaser which was very nice. My steak was cooked properly the first time. I like well-done and most of the time chef's think that means burnt (not). The French Onion soup was rich and delicious. I did a shrimp add on to the 14 oz. Rib eye. It was 3 nice sized shrimp for $9. I thought that was a bit overpriced but worth it for the atmosphere here. Unlike Morton's, the entrees came with a side. They did have a great menu variety to keep everyone happy. I did not have an appetizer or dessert but it sure all sounded delicious. They have an enormous appetizer menu good for singles or shares. I found out only later that you can also order the tapas from Blu (tapas/bar next door) to eat at the restaurant. I probably would have ordered the scallops from that menu instead of the add on shrimp. One additional thought, I drink an extra dirty vodka martini and I'm used to having to send it back. Not here. Perfect the first time. All of the servers I've had there are friendly and attentive. This is now my favorite in Biloxi.
Happy to report the issues encountered over the past couple of months have been resolved, There is a new Chef in the house, The food quality has came back up to a higher level of standards, Plating is back to basic's and reality based, The Service staff seemed to visibly relieved of the tension and uncertainty encountered in the last 4 visits, Even the Front of house manager seemed happier and more confident of the projected outcomes at each table.... Glad to see the Management team at Treasure Bay takes the comments of customers to heart and fixes what can be fixed....
