coZara Ratings and Reviews
Great spot for an Ash Wednesday/Valentine's Day combo lunch. Would have been 5 stars across, but too quite some time to get our check after we had finished. That might be the most minor of complaints on this site. Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service.
Great for a quick bite to eat. A friend and I came for dinner during a study break. I ordered the fried pork gyoza, a chicken thigh skewer, and the lunch portion of the spicy chicken ramen and would recommend all of them. Everything came out of the kitchen piping hot and in a fairly quick amount of time. The service was also great, as dishes were cleared and drinks were filled as soon as needed and without having to ask.
Sushi & rolls prices were outrageous and also the portions extremely small. the quality of the food was acceptable but did not justify the High price that this restaurant charges for.
Service was slow and a bit disorganized. Nothing special with the design of the place and the seating was not comfortable at all...
I will not recommend this place at all...
It used to be an excellent value. Went frequently when my daughter was a student at both Drexel and Penn. Had a date with my husband after a ball game at the Palestra. It was Horrendous. Food was not good, but our server was a nightmare. Her impatience, condescension and ultimately her indifference was intolerable. I will not return.
We were treated like VIP. James and Andrew, the managers were so great! From the second we walked in to the last. The head chef is out of this world. The food coming out of the kitchen and the sushi bar are awesome. Quick, fresh and delicious are just the top three words to describe how awesome the food is. We do enjoy Zama, but CoZara is our new favorite place. Hands down! Go and grab a happy hour bite or an entire meal. You won’t be disappointed.
My friend and I split 4 sushi rolls and I got the calamari salad. Total was under $30 and our waitress was very sweet, attentive, and fast. Totally would recommend. Their sushi is the best in town! So fresh and you can really taste the difference in their rice vs other sushi’s I’ve had.
We came in about an hour and a half before closing time and there was only one other table there so the restaurant was rather quiet besides the sounds of cooking. Despite coming in so close to closing time, all of the table were still set and still looked nice, all menu options were available, and the food did not suffer in quality (quite the opposite actually).
My sister and I ordered a lot of small shareable dishes: fried pork gyoza, sukiyaki spring rolls, grilled okra, a few chicken thigh and new york strip skewers, fried calamari, and the spicy chicken ramen. It sounds like a lot of food but it was the optimal amount for us two young women. Everything tasted great and came out pipping hot except the the calamari. We had just gone to CoZara days earlier and they used a different coating (much better) for the calamari than they did for this visit. The coating on the calamari for this visit was too bready and ruined the dish. I definitely recommend sampling the menu by doing a lot of small dishes like we did.
The service was great. Both the manager and the one server ensured that our glasses stayed full and that our food wa brought to us as soon as it was ready. Being one of the only two tables there was great, like renting out the restaurant for a private dinner, so I would go late at night for service like that.
Service is absolutely horrendous.. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you want to go for happy hour drinks & sushi/ sushimi rolls or appetizers. The food comes out whenever even though you have specified that you prefer to have the small plates first. I will not go back
