Coyote Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We had the most wonderful anniversary dinner tonight! Ben was our amazing waiter . He was the most attentive and personable waiter we have had in some time. He steered us to great choices- squash soup, elk, lamb chops, and the sea bass. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. It was the perfect evening! The other wait staff were also great!
This is one of those places where you can have a quick meal without spending a lot or, you can do the opposite. We did the opposite. Do the starter. Do a cocktail at the bar. Do sit at the counter and engage with the people working the line. Ask them what is good, tell them what you do and don’t like. It’s worth it. Definitely get dessert.
Great experience dining at coyote cafe. Treated like family from the start. The owner Quin is totally hands on. Greeting guests , taking orders checking on tables. The drinks are awesome, food outstanding and service couldn't be better. Outstanding dining experience! Not to be missed when in santa fe!
Wonderful Birthday evening....incredible food and drink and the service and attention we received from Kristin really topped it all off for us. Thank you for making my # 55 so memorable. Ok...now a warning...the Cowboy cut steak is huge, we shared it and still came home with enough for another meal.....NO complaints at all, just kind of humerous how big it was! Absolutely delicious!
Love, Love, Love this place. The atmosphere is energetic but still good for a date or intimate group. The food is amazing but what really makes this place shine is the INCREDIBLE service! We live a few hours away and have dined here on occasion. Our waiter recognized us from months back and he was the first to say "Hey, have you been here before because you look familiar. I think I've waited on you before". I knew it wasn't just "a line" as he recognized my son and husband as dining but not me... and I wasn't there last time. Great experience!
We were staying in Santa Fe and decided to give Coyote Cafe a try. I thought it was only a casual outdoor cantina but it turned out that the main inside dining room was very nice. The wait staff were well dressed in long-sleeved shirts and vests and service was great and attentive. The food was excellent and prepared well. I was upset at myself that I couldn't finish my meal. A doggie bag was out of the question since we were visiting. I would highly recommend this place.
We had a wonderful experience celebrating our anniversary. Got perhaps the best table (a corner booth) in the house and were greeted with complimentary champagne. Service was very attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful Butternut Squash soup and tasty Arugula salad to start. For main course, we had Patagonian Seabass and Colorado Lamb Chops. Both were excellent dishes that I would order again. We skipped dessert only to be surprised with a complimentary Banana Creme Pie with vanilla ice cream! It was an unforgettable evening.
I hardly ever give negative comments, but... I could hardly cut the chunks of duck breast. I was not given a steak knife. My baked potato was room temperature, butter did not melt on it.
The sphere of chocaolate was, as always, spectacular!
We shall return...
The food was delicious, creatively presented and a good value for the price. The service was excellent. They accommodated my young daughter with a pasta dish not on the menu, and at a very reasonable price. The ambiance was energetic yet cozy. A wonderful evening all around.
My wife suggested we try Coyote Cafe as I saw the word Cafe and it is nothing like a cafe in the traditional sense. Fantastic food, excellent service, great feel, modern and hip. Great music playing and was definitely a highlight of our trip to Santa Fe. The Cayote Cafe is what I envisioned the eateries would be like in Santa Fe.
We reserved Dinner at the counter and per a mix-up, there was no place at the counter available. The staff was gracious and attentive, and we were happy with our experience. Dinner was excellent and our server was wonderful. Will definitely return on our next visit to Santa Fe.
Celebrated our anniversary here after not having visited the Coyote Cafe in many years. CC has a long history in Santa Fe. It was brilliant in the early Mark Miller days and subsequently declined. Recent reviews were quite positive, however, encouraging us to return. We enjoyed the food, ambiance and especially the excellent service. The restaurant is not the cuisine-defining phenomenon it was in the Miller days, and it is much less "southwest"-focused than before but it is a solid, established restaurant with excellent food.
We started at the bar (called the Coyote Den) and that was fun. Specialty cocktails are reasonably priced and there's a show in the making of them. The food for the restaurant was very good and the ambiance classy, but casual. The staff was helpful and courteous. The only down side is we seemed to have more than one wait staff - in the confusion of who was our waiter (it seems to have changed) we got ignored a little.
An absolute gem in Santa Fe. This was our first visit. The atmosphere is romantic and beautiful, the service is perfect, attentive, and professional. The meals are to die for !! We had the Elk and the filet mignon, which were melt in your mouth, seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will return.
