Exceptional service. The lobster was out of this world. My filet mignon came out over cooked and flavorless but was quickly replaced with a superb cut and temperature. A fair wine selection but at fair prices.
From start to finish everything went beyond my expectations. Starting at the host stand. They were friendly and accommodating. Our bartender helped us pick out the perfect drinks. Then there’s Nate our server best I’ve had in a long time. From bringing us champagne to toast our Anniversary to a small bite appetizer. He truly made our evening special. When making your reservations pick the counter seating as you get to watch all the amazing chefs in action. This place is a must.
This is such a magnificent experience. The food is beautiful and tastes simply amazing. The staff is superb. I highly recommend Coyote Cafe. A special thanks to Graciela our server. You made our evening memorable. Ella loved her Birthday dinner.
This is a great place to eat a special dinner. Wait staff is fabulous. I always order the lobster. The noodles and sauce were a bit saltier than usual. The key lime tart was delicious. Overall, Coyote Cafe is the best!
Recommended by a friend. Didn’t disappoint. Service excellent as was the food
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. Food was inspired and served beautifully
Great food and even better service. Christen took care of my wife and I with great attention. Absolutely will go back. Lobster is the best!!!
Live here since last year and owned home since 2016 and had no idea this resturant was here. Service was outstanding and food very very good! Will be back!
Outstanding service from Kristin and team who went above and beyond.
Outstanding and creative food
Fun dinner on Sunday nite
Overall very good. The elk was a little dry compared to normal.
Awesome food and staff! They really are a must visit restaurant.
Nate was our waiter. We have had him before. He is fantastic! We were Celebrating a Birthday it was perfect. Food amazing. Thanks so much.
Fabulous food and inventive/creative menu. Servers/wait staff were professional and courteous. We would totally come back again.
It was our first visit to the Coyote Café. It fully lived up to its reputation. The lamb chops for me and lobster for my wife were the best we've eaten. The presentation on the plate beautiful. The waiter made us feel welcome and pampered without ever being a bother. It was a wonderful experience.
A delicious meal during our family trip to Santa Fe
Superb meal, service, ambiance - we arrived at 5:30PM group of 4, quickly seated and attended to for drinks and menu. House margarita with lime/salt foam was very good. Elk tenderloin and stuffed quail were unbelievably good. Overall a fantastic experience. Ben was a great waiter and was very attentive.
Coyote was excellent from start to finish. From the original cocktails to the innovative banana cream pie, every detail was impeccable, including the service by Nate & team. The grilled elk & lobster pappardelle were the best entrees I’ve had this year. Southwest flavors were bursting in every course. We will make a special trip to Santa Fe to visit Coyote again!
We had an amazing dinner here. The service was great and the food was so good. We had the lobster and the lamb for entrees and the shrimp as a shared appetizer. They split the app for us on two separate plates and it looked beautiful. The shrimp was rather spicy though. Beware if you can’t take the heat. They also greeted us with a complimentary cocktail to celebrate our special occasion. We also had a delicious dessert that was a chocolate sphere. Just a great evening!!
The Coyote Cafe continue to be our go-to-spot to have a great experience: wonderful mixologists, excellent service, a large choice of dining options each prepared superbly, and a very good wine list. The Coyote Cafe is one of only a handful of truly great dining experiences in Santa Fe and we believe, is well worth the cost. We will return!
Reliably excellent food served by friendly and welcoming staff.
Outstanding, personalized service. Fantastic wine list and owner Quint is so knowledgeable about the wines and willing to help select the perfect vintage to accompany your meal. Our server, Paris, was charming and made the entire dinner experience wonderful. The food is first rate in all ways - presentation, flavor, portion size. I could go on - but you get the idea.
Best waiter and special attention. Brought my wife a tiny coffee cup of soup for free since I had a salad as appetizer. Sea bass with ravioli and Elk medallions. Deconstructed banana cream pie was a perfect finish. Every time We go to Santa Fe we eat here. So consistent, great atmosphere.
One of my favorite restaurants on the planet! When I walk in its like seeing some of my favorite friends no matter how long it has been. The food is always exceptional and the service is seamless. The menu comforts me with my favorites while always challenging your culinary curiosity with new twists on the classics. It never disappoints. When you are at the top of your game as I consider the Coyote Cafe, it can be easy to become complacent but Coyote continues to raise the bar on the dining experience while staying true to its heritage. Thank you!!
They should have a discount for local New Mexican
Also a senior discount of 15-20 percent off the bill
Always a creative menu and excellent preparation and service. Ideal for a major event, if not more often!
Excellent meal as usual. Service was spot on. Good table. Still on the pricey side, but three course meal for restaurant week was a good value. Rolled caesar/osso bucco/bread pudding all very tasty with large portions and exceptional presentations. My waiter actually greeted me by name which was nice.
One of two best restaurants in Santa Fe! Excellent across the board from drinks to dessert.
Here to celebrate a birthday! Exceptional food good service but it was a bit loud at times.
Paris - our waitperson was AWESOME! We (Joe and I) celebrated Joe's birthday and we had a wonderful time!
Your hostess (long blond hair) was more than accommodating (because we arrived 10 minutes late)… we called ahead for the heads-up and she was so wonderful and delightful to speak to on the phone (THANK YOU!)…
We go to Coyote Café every year for Joe's celebration... Our favorite restaurant!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Coyote Café is such a magical place. From the second you walk in and see the exquisite chandelier, to the wonderful wait staff and outstanding dining experience, you know it is a life changing event. It's warm, inviting, and ever so Santa Fe. I would never hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting and especially to locals like myself who think there is nothing downtown to interest them. The food is always imaginative and incredible. From beginning to end you feel like they have been waiting for YOU. Do not pass up an opportunity to experience this downtown treasure. Can't wait to go again!
We loved Coyote Cafe. We were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and we will continue to come back. We love the food, the service, ambience, choice of entree, appetizers and desserts. We are convinced it is the best restaurant in Santa Fe.
What's not to love; everything was so much fun, from great sauces & meats to excellent wine recommendation, ta RDG
We went to Coyote Cafe the last time we went to Santa Fe, around 15 to 20 years ago, and were amazed at the cutting edge New Southwestern cuisine. So of course we returned this trip. It was still good, but not so much cutting edge. It seems to have found its style and stayed there, rather than continuing to take Southwestern forward. Which would be OK, but of all the nice upscale restaurants we went to during our trip, this was the most expensive and I did not really feel I got my money's worth. The most interesting and innovative part were the cocktails, and they do have some excellent ones. Ambience is fun, service was very good, and food was very good but not all that exciting. Also, I am highly lactose intolerant, and there were not a lot of options for me, certainly not a lot for a vegan (who of course would also be dairy-free).
Impeccable night out with friends! Food was superb, service was awesome! It couldn’t have been any better!!!
The Restaurant Week menu was amazing in its appetizers and main courses. Very creative and the food arranged on the plates were like works of art. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. He could teach my Customer Relations/Service class here at the college. He had excellent training on the wine selections both descriptions and origins. A marvelous experience!
This was our first time at Coyote Cafe, and we were happy to experience it during restaurant week. The line up was delicious, and everything was prepared perfectly. For appetizers we had prawns & griddled corn cakes and blue corn crusted duck relleno. For the main course, we had Berkshire Pork Osso Buco and Barramundi. For dessert we both enjoyed the Tamal Bread Pudding. I am not sure how many of those items are part of their regular menu, but I would certainly order all of them again. We also enjoyed some Salty Senorita Margaritas, which were extremely delicious and the salty foam topping was visually appealing as well. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Coyote Cafe is the Best in Santa Fe!!
Restaurant Week, cannot miss, regular menu items at a great price! And the same amount, where other restaurants give you less food!
Perfect time to order that special wine and enjoy a great evening with outstanding service and excellent food
Went for dinner during Santa Fe Resturant week. the special menu was just great. wonderful version of the Caesar salad. followed by a perfectly cooked branzini. also had onion rings and staff recommended an excellent glass of cabernet. look forward to return. new decor is really nice.
Cocktails, food and service were outstanding. It is a little noisy in the restaurant. Will definitely go back and very soon. We did the prefix restaurant week and it was a bargain.
The food was good as was the service. We were a bit rushed however the service was good. We asked the waiter to take his time as we were not in a hurry but that did not good. Delicious lobster main dish as was the venison. Pricey wine list, to say the least.
