Everything was perfect.
We enjoyed the Lobster tail dish and the Sea Bass. Both were the perfect portion, flavors were on point. Slight miss on the dessert. Our waiter sold us on the “ bread pudding “, but we both couldn’t eat it. Traded in for the Brûlée which was fantastic. If you are familiar with bread pudding you will be disappointed with the liberties taken with a classic. It was more like crunchy croutons with a tiny filling sitting on it and the Sweet Corn Ice Cream was so over the top it tasted like a piece of corn on the cob . Where was the decadence a bread pudding should deliver. That said, take that away and the rest was fantastic.
We sat at the counter and thoroughly enjoyed watching the chefs create their masterpieces which were truly works of art. The food was outstanding and the staff extremely friendly. This was an exceptional dining experience.
We are on a road trip through the Southwest and chose this restaurant based on its good reviews. The crab and corn enchiladas are very small and lacking in flavor. The pork chop was over cooked on the edges and undercooked near the bone. The staff was gracious in not charging for the pork chop and offered a replacement, but it was disappointing to not get a great meal given that this was our only chance to have dinner in Santa Fe.
Nice family dinner out with the kids. Food and service were on point. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Kudos to Quinn and staff.
WE both had the ravioli with egg plant which was wonderful. Before the meal we were upstairs at the cantina where there was a mix up on our drink orders making us late for our dinner reservation downstairs. The delay was nicely solved when the drinks were delivered to us gratis due to the long wait and we carried them downstairs for dinner. The service and food in the dining experience rank among the best of our dining moments in Santa Fe. We will return!!
It was our anniversary and we were visiting Santa Fe, this was our last night there and by far the best meal we’ve had. Our server was phenomenal and so was the rest of the staff. The food was superb. The next time we’re in town we will definitely go there again.
Food great. Center chandelier amazing.
We reserved well in advance of our trip to Santa Fe, and after reading reviews my husband chose this place for our last night (his birthday). It turned out to be the best meal of our trip, and an all-around superb dining experience. Our table was ready immediately, a comfortable circular booth that afforded a great view of the colorful dining room. The enormous Chihuly chandelier is the crowning touch to the vibrant, fun, yet sophisticated decor. Our waiter greeted us with complimentary glasses of a local sparkling wine. It was delicious so we ordered a bottle for our party of 4. Two of our party shared the rolled Caesar salad, the most gorgeous presentation of a salad I’ve seen. My husband started with the beef cheek empanadas, a real standout. Although I decided to skip a starter, I was treated to a shot-glass portion of an amazing green chili soup with crumbles of cotija cheese. Our entrees: grilled lobster with fresh paperdelle, rack of lamb, filet mignonette, and (for me), grilled elk loin. All were gorgeously presented and cooked perfectly. I can’t think of anything that would have improved this truly special dinner.
Christen’s service was fantastic. Every dish was delectable. Excellent wine list. And we tried every dessert - the banana pudding and key lime tart are to die for!
First time back to coyote cafe since they remodeled their dining room. I think it's a vast improvement as it has much more light and the tables are more evenly spaced. Food and service was outstanding and creative as usual. We enjoyed their wonderful elk tenderloin and large tomahawk pork chop.
This was some of the best food I've ever eaten. It was unique, creative, beautiful, and fresh. And, the restaurant is both fancy and comfortable. There were many staff who made us feel welcome and taken care of.
Repeat patrons. Service is always attentive and food delicious.
Excellent service including special care for our food allergies. Appetizers, meals, and desserts were all delicious.
The innovative menu was equaled by the superlative service. Hostess was friendly and welcoming and ushered us to a corner booth as we had requested on our online reservation. The waiter was equally friendly and knowledgeable but not overly solicitous. This is a fabulous choice in a city noted for its many nationally-recognized dining options.
Had wanted to eat here for years. It did not disappoint. Great food, superb service.
Excellent every time!
The service was good, except they kept asking if we were done when there was still food on our plates...we were simply talking between bites.
Our third time at Coyote Cafe. Always top notch!
We were anxious to try out Coyote Cafe after its recent renovations .
It did not disappoint.
We enjoyed our starters of pork tacos, steak tartare and the arugula salad .
I had the quail for dinner and the others had the scallops.
They were all delicious .
Great evening with perfect service .
We brought our son & daughter in law here on their first visit to Santa Fe & also their anniversary. There were so many people waiting on us, it was hard to tell who was our waiter. Our cocktails were very good and so was the appetizer. However, after a lady took our dinner order, someone else served it and totally skipped the salads we ordered & brought us the main course. The right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. This system of service is really bad, as it is not personalized & they all have no interest in you the customer. Just servers running around all over the place. On two of our last visits, we also experienced service problems---called communicating! We really missed having the caesar salad, as it is one of the best items on the menu. I would recommend this restaurant with caution.
Nothing other to say other the “PERFECT “! The staff and owner go above and beyond to make the experience incredible and the food outstanding.
Just an amazing experience! The only thing better than the excellent food with the personal touch service we were given.
Thank you to all of the staff!
Our meal at Coyote Cafe was PERFECT in every respect from start to finish. We had excellent service, fine wine, fabulous & delectable food, and an all-around delightful experience. We were visiting Santa Fe for a conference, and my husband and I had a free night. It could not have been a better date night out. We really appreciated how the gracious and charming, Nicole, made us feel as though we we honored guests, and she made the meal flow perfectly. The man who brought us bread and water (sorry I forgot your name!) was welcoming and had the nicest way about him. They all looked after us without being obtrusive. This is hospitality at it's finest. Thank you for such a memorable experience!!!
Our waiter, Ben, was great and will ask for him again. He was very knowledgeable about the wine list, that is a little pricey. Elk tenderloin was perfect and presentation superb.
Not the "Mexican food" restaurant we thought it would be.
This place was definitely a stop for tourists. The place was noisy and packed. I felt a rushed, as if the theme is get them and get them out as fast as possible. I didn't like the fact that the person that sat us, came to take our main course order two minutes after out waiter took our appetizer order. Too pushy!
Our waiter returned in an appropriate about of time. I mentioned to him there was no need to rush us. He was excellent! He brought things back to a civil pace too.
We enjoyed the food.
We were visiting in Santa Fe and our hosts had plans. We had been a few years ago but it was so much better. The redecorated inside is gorgeous and every moment we were there was special. The outstanding service, fun friendly vibe and outstanding food will keep this at the top of my Santa Fe list! The cocktails were also very fun, fresh and different. The squash blossoms with lobster and the blue corn crab and corn enchiladas were so light and delicious. You must order the green chili mac and cheese. We split it but you could make a meal off of it. I will be back! 5 stars+
The Coyote Café is one of the very best dining venues in Santa Fe. Sitting at the Chef's counter is great fun to watch Executive Chef Eduardo and his associate chefs create works of art. The food is impeccable.
I am always a little worried about hype when a restaurant is so highly recommended and talked about, but the Coyote Cafe lived up to the hype - wonderful, attentive service, amazing innovative and flavorful food, terrific ambiance. Well worth the choice for a major birthday. We got the mini tostadas which were delicious and fresh, the arugula salad with poached pears, the squash blossoms fried nd stuffed with lobsterand corn, the beef tenderloin molcajete tartare which was so good with the roasted shishitos, red wine shallot marmalade and raw quail egg! And to top it all off, we shared an entree of the perfectly medium rare tellicherry peppered elk tenderloin with snap peas, bacon and morels wrapped in potato on a bed of black garlic mashed potatoes on a white truffle demi glaze. We hadn’t eaten all day so had room for desserts: the tamal bread pudding with caramel, pecans and sweet corn ice cream was to die for, and the chocolate sphere with coffee gelato (and a birthday candle!) on piñon shortbread with strawberries melted by a pour-over of warm caramel was creative and a fantastic way to end my birthday meal. I am definitely coming back the next time we are in Santa Fe - there was so much else O wanted to try off the menu!!
We were celebrating my husband's birthday and my gift of this dinner to him was top-notch. We had the wonderful margaritas that they top with meringue. Superb. My husband chose the Cowboy Steak and it did not disappoint. I opted for the diver scallops which were cooked to perfection. They sent a sample of their tortilla soup to the table and it was the best we've had in Santa Fe. And, to acknowledge my husband's birthday, they presented a scoop of coconut ice cream adorned with a small candle. Everything was the best. The decor has changed under the new ownership. They did a great job. We will return.
Incredible food and very attentive staff. The meal here was over-the-top delicious! The appetizer, squash blossoms, was filled with lobster, and lightly fried. What a treat! The entrée, duck leg confit, was amazingly tender and flavorful. Our server was very attentive and incredibly well versed in wines. My only complaint is that it was very, very warm. All of the doors were open, but it was still a bit too warm for comfort.
Excellent food and service to make our Anniversary special. The icing on the cake was the desert menu.
We always enjoy our meals at Coyote
The food was outstanding, as well the service. Nate our server was helpful, and attentive.
Great service from the whole staff. I live in Santa Barbara, CA and have many upscale
dining choices, and I am sure Coyote could rival any.
If you go to Santa Fe, you need to have dinner at the Coyote Cafe.
Just a wonderful experience
Coyote Cafe came highly recommended from a local Santa Fe resident, and after enjoying a fantastic dinner there, we now know why! The service was impeccable, the food was awesome, and the ambiance was great. The owner came by our table three times to check on us and she really made us feel special. Coyote Cafe will be on the top of our list for a future return trip to Santa Fe!
We selected this restaurant where we could meet relatives from Florida (we live in CA). Their service was unbelievable! We obviously were having a lot of discussion interspersed with our meal which extended our stay but they were so understanding and did not try to rush our meal.
The service was fantastic from the moment we arrived to the second that we left, even on a crowded Saturday night on a holiday weekend. I was very impressed with the level of service. They really know how to treat their restaurant patrons. The food was equally impressive. I had the eggplant ravioli and it was fantastic. The rolls were wonderful, and I also really enjoyed the banana cream pie. It was all delicious, as was my wine. It was a truly wonderful meal from start to finish!
