Excellent diver scallops & special chanterelles side dish in season! Washed down with delish Paul Hobbs pinot by the glass!
Nice wine selection. The lobster tails with pappardelle were superb. The waiter was superb. He even gave us a small "bonus" pour of rose wine to finish our meal. (We had experimented with a couple of roses during dinner.) All in all, a superb experience.
The restaurant's appetizers and main course were spot on and very generous in the amount of food. The only drawback was that they forgot the bread twice. Other than that, it is great for a special occasion.
Food presentation was fabulous and then we took a bite into heaven. Excellent. Great wine list
Pork chop was not worth the money. Half the chop was fat. Over priced.
Wonderful service and creative food preparation. Every plate a photo op!
The food and service were exceptional. I highly recommend! It isn’t your run of the meal places-a fine dining experience!
I would definitely recommend the Coyote Cafe, we ate there while on vacation in Santa Fe, and was our best meal on the trip. The salad was outstanding , and we had the scallops and the Elk tenderloin which was exceptional.
What can I say?? This is simply the best restaurant I've ever been to. Every time we have friends and family from out of town we bring them here. Chef Eduardo never misses the opportynity to treat us with something special, and his staff is one of the most professional and cool there is. Long Live Coyote Cafe!!
Coyote Cafe delivers quality, exceptional food, but the price for these is steep. $20+ appetizers and $40+ entrees. The wine list, while comprehensive, also is expensive. On the other hand, the service is truly exceptional, the atmosphere both welcoming and classy, and the bar does an outstanding job. This is not an everyday place, but for special occasions it is ideal. - For a far more casual and lower priced option, try the Coyote Cafe Cantina next door.
WE were celebrating our anniversary. It is a beautiful restaurant and the food was very good. Sea bass was perfectly cooked. Dessert menu was not very appealing to us.
Food was excellent. Lobster grilled over mesquite with papardelle outstanding.
Waiter Ben was top notch.
Fun, artistic, sophisticated atmosphere. Beautiful presentation of food and drinks. Even pouring your cocktail is an artful event. The creative combinations of food and drink are super special. Would highly recommend for special occassions.
Food was amazing! Freddy our waiter was the BEST. Treated like royalty for our anniversary dinner!
This Coyote Cafe completely has lost the cachet of what it was under Mark Miller. It was about half-empty on a Friday evening, and so it obviously is losing popularity. Most of the patrons looked to be tourists. Just another pretentious, overpriced and mediocre Santa Fe restaurant. The food portions were minimal to paltry - $ for 2 bites of a stuffed squash blossom which was advertised as stuffed with lobster but which was pretty much liquid yogurt. The service was overbearing. The wait staff obviously is trained and commanded to continuously fawn over patrons - welcoming them like long relatives, telling personal anecdotes about themselves, constantly thanking us for being there. All of this gives the place an air of desperation.
Great experience ! Excellent service ! And best cocktails in town !!
Chef Edwardo is amazing. We sat at the counter in front of the grill & oven. We watched a beautiful ballet between Chef Edwardo and his Sous Chef Kyle. Each plate was prepared with confidence and pride as they were delivered to the servers. The evening will be a delight for anyone dining at Coyote Cafe.
Was bad experience .. our cousin's birthday I made reservations also call them will late 5or 10 munits .. they couldn't found my Resavation .. but I did open table !!! Restaurant was 60 % emputy Wednesday night 7pm .. we pick windows side nice view of Plaza .. food was okay .. my doggy bag was trash .. wait long time to get cake no candle !! Other table people got candle so mess .. I feel so bad !! I pick them because top 10 restaurant in Santa Fe .. so sad for special occasions.. so sad.
We had a great time at the Coyote Cafe! The service and our dinners were fabulous. We highly recommend the elk and the banana cream pie! Loved the presentation of both! Our waiter, Paris, was welcoming and knowledgeable. We look forward to coming back!
Service, food and ambiance were outstanding. Deserving of it's reputation!
Wonderful meal! Our waiter, Ben, was superb.
Fantastic! We had a party of 10 for a business dinner. The service and food was spectacular.
Food and overall menu are excellent. However, this was the first time we had been back in over a year, and we were very disappointed with the level of service. Too bad, otherwise would have been 5 stars overall.
Whoever supervises the busers and waiters better train them better or crack the wip on the current ones.
We ordered the elk and it was outstanding. The macaroni and green chili was overpowered by garlic, we couldn’t eat it.
The service was uneven. The hostess was delightful, the server was not consistent. They have a way to go.
The lamb was superb!
Perfect food and service.
This is a must when visiting Santa Fe. Want to interact? Ask to be seated at the counter. You get a first rate view of food preparation and cooking....it is amazing! The food is heavenly...save room for Creme Brulee...this place is truly a dining experience!!!
Always fabulous! If you're in the Santa Fe area and love excellent food and service, Coyote Cafe is a "must" on your list.
Lamb chops were top shelf, mesquite lobster was a little fishy, told my server. She removed it although we ate it. Fabulous service. We will be back.
Cold poached lobster app yum!
We ate here years ago when visiting NM and remembered it as great food. Tonight I can recommend the salty señorita, the rolled caesar salad that looks like sushi rolls, the mole empanadas and the banana bread pudding.
We have dined at The Coyote Cafe on several occasions over the years. Only on one occasion
was the service and food less than satisfactory. It is a pricey restaurant but the food is excellent.
The ambience was wonderful, the service was top notch and the music was not blasting holes in our eardrums as so many places seem to do lately. The food was exquisitely presented, but was a bit on the bland side. One star deduction for that, but in all fairness it could be attributed to the dishes we ordered. Would definitely recommend for a special dinner.
A most enjoyable evening sitting at the chef's bar watching Chef Rodriguez and Sous Chef Brien prepare delicious and artistic entrees.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Loved watching the chefs!
Very pleased! Duck was amazing ! Very unique and different cocktails and an extensive wine list. Table was ready when we got there, we have no complaints
Second visit within 5 days and it was equally as good.
Our server Carlos was superb and had great recommendations.
