Excellent wait staff that was conversational friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was set to close soon so the wine list was apparently limited but nevertheless comprehensive. Not a cheap night out but certainly worth the expense.

Fantastic! Our 19 year old daughter said "she felt so taken care of" by our waitress.

As always Coyote Cafe is outstanding. Impecable service, great food and perfect ambiance for any ocacion and even with kids. Last night we spent New Years eve and our table of 10 was the last one to leave and we were attended to the last minute as gracefully as we were when we arrived. Been going there for years and always taking friends and family, it is highly recomended.

The worst meal I’ve ever had in Santa Fe. The food was cold and tasteless. This was my recommendation for our group. I was throughly embarrassed.

Great place, went for Nee Years Eve with the family! We had a great server, picky eaters but she made it work with great suggestions and even going to management to get off the menu items! Watch out for the hostess .. think she may bite!

The problem for Coyote Cafe is folks (like me) who dined there when Mark Miller was large and in charge expect that same level of attention to all aspect of the dining experience and it's just not there. It's not bad but at their current price point it's a bit of a disappointment. The beef tartar appetizer at $24 was not worth $24. The price point of $40 plus for 99% of the entrees is off the mark. Service is very good. The physical plant is very nice. I admit to being a tough grader - they are trying and it's a strong A minus/B plus but it's just not as good as it once was.

We've been to Coyote Cafe 20 years ago and were quite amazed that the food and service remained excellent. Their cocktails are excellent and the food outstanding. The service professional and friendly - striking just the right note. Great for special occasions as well as just a good night out.

Climb up one flight from the sidewalk to this lively, sexy, energetic restaurant and bar. The menu was super creative, yet offered something wonderful and tasty for the vegetarian, the pescatarian, the no-carber, the carnivore, etc. in our group. And a very good time was had by all.
We were greeted warmly and the service was attentive and gracious throughout the meal, even though the place was packed on a holiday week.

It had been a long time since I visited Coyote Cafe and they have only become a better restaurant in that time. While I find the seating to be cramped and the space hard to move around, I cannot detract a single thing from the experience of what matters: the food and drink. We started with their version of Manhattans, and a seasonal vodka martini with cranberries. The drinks were fantastic. The wine list was very broad. I judge their markup to be a bit more than most other fine dining restaurants, which is frustrating. But we cannot complain about their options. We settled on a nice Cote du Rhone. Two of us had the deconstructed raviolis, one person had the seafood and another had the tenderloins. Each of us LOVED our meals. I'd rate the food itself to be the finest meal I've had in the last couple of months and I eat out weekly. The service was a bit overly-attentive but absolutely friendly and knowledgable of the menu. I know that Santa Fe has many great dining options. I also know Coyote Cafe has been around a while and might be overlooked because of that. But please, do not make that mistake. Coyote Cafe remains the highlight of my last two trips to New Mexico. My compliments to the chef.

The food was tasty, but not fine dining by any stretch. The restaurant was very crowded/cramped. The hostess was extremely rude; however, the server was very polite, friendly and efficient. The overall ambience did not match the price point.

management team is superb.

Having worked in this industry I understand that Christmas dinner is tough. To start with we were seated at a table for 2 that Did not allow us to sit across from each other. My husband was seated at the “wide” side of the 2 top and I had to sit at the narrow end of the table. This put my chair in the runway for all the wait staff and other guests. I also needed to sit at an angle as both of our legs were unable to fit under the table with this configuration. Uncomfortable at the least. We were told that it would be a wait to try for another table. They never should have considered this a spot for a 2 top. The halibut cheeks where over done and dry as was the elk, despite having it medium rare as suggested by the kitchen. lobster was very flavorful and not over cooked. Desserts very good. This dinner was a set menu at $100.00 a person and was a very poor experience. waiter did a good job, but can not overcome such a poor seating arrangement and over cooked food. . Waste off money.

Christmas dinner for my family from out of town, and it was spectacular! The food is creative and delicious, with multiple options, and the wine list fits all tastes. But the thing that separates Coyote from all of the rest is the staff— from the owner to the guys bussing tables. They all make you feel like you are family and they are so happy to have you in their restaurant. Santa Fe has many wonderful restaurants, and my wife and I have a dozen or so we love to visit, but if we really want to have a memorable dining experience, we come to Coyote Cafe.

The entrees were very eye appealing and good flavor. The lobster dish had great lobster taste but pasta was very disappointing. Red velvet dessert was a very small cake that did not taste or resemble red velvet cake.
We enjoyed our evening and the service was excellent 😊.

We went there for Christmas Eve, not realizing they had a prix fixe three-course menu for the evening. It was rather shocking to sit down and look at the menu and learn it was $100/pp. The food was good but definitely not worth the price. That didn't even include a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverages as they then charged $4.50 for the cup of coffee my husband had with dessert. The price was such a turn-off that we wouldn't go back.

After eating and being a loyal customer since 1987, the Christmas Eve dinner was a major disappointment. Service for the first time was erratic at best. The lobster pie was served lukewarm, the "Lobster" was in essence 1/2 tail, 1 claw, and 1 leg, and the Wagu beef was tough, grizzly and tasteless served with only half the promised accompaniments. Sad since we were with friends who had been there before when Coyote was on their game and now will never return. Too bad Coyote lost not only a loyal customer but a loyal cheerleader.

Food would have been 5 star if the restaurant served on hot plates for entrees versus kitchen temperature (mildly cool) plates. The food was just warm and could have been hotter with better procedures, maybe need heat lamps also. Flavors, presentation, and portions were great; Lobster & Elk dinners on Christmas Eve. Cordially, from a retired restaurant executive with 45 years experience to include fine dining.

Amazing experience yet again. The level of service that Kristen provided went above and beyond all expectations! We first dined here on our honeymoon and then had to bring the parents for Christmas Eve. What a magical experience from the wine pairings to the roaring fire in the dining room. Coyote Cafe made our Christmas trip special and we cannot wait to dine here again.

Coyote Cafe is a restaurant to be visited while enjoying Santa Fe. My husband
and I have been dining there for years when visiting Santa Fe. We were at the restaurant
Christmas weekend. Suggestions: Valet parking service. We felt we were rushed
during our dinner, as if they needed to prepare for the next customer. The prices are
too high to rush diners. The tables are too close together and the waiters are quickly
trying to serve in tight spaces and aisles to the point I was concerned food or
drink could end up on my husband in the aisle.

Coyote Café is always stand out dining experience when we visit Santa Fe. From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly, escorted us to our table, and memorable dining began. The scallops appetizer and the burrata salad were beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. There was a unique basil flavored gelatin cylinder accompanying the salad that I had never eaten before and was a taste thrill. My Patagonian Seabass was superb and my husband loved his tender and flavorful Pork chop. We both enjoyed our crisp white wines, served chilled to the perfect temperature. We were too full for dessert, but enjoyed sipping freshly brewed decaf. All in all, it was a delicious and lovely evening.
