Although under new ownership, this restaurant continues to impress. I have been dining here on my trips to Santa Fe for over 20 years.
everything from start to finish was perfection ! especially Kevin!
Great food, wine and service, but extremely noisy
Good and service are truly excellent. Only issue I have is with you he noise level, loud enough to make it hard to hear someone across a 4 person table.
Food and service were wonderful. Had the squash blossoms, elk and (giant!) pork chop along with the Creme Brûlée for dessert. Yum!
We were seated late.
The service was very slow. Food was good. Beer pours were small.
It just took too long: Two hours.
Thank you, Coyote Cafe for a memorable birthday for my husband. Each of us started a superb dinner with a complimentary birthday glass of champagne. Drinks were outstanding and dinner surpassed our expectations.
Service was stellar. We’ll be back each time we visit Santa Fe.
The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Nate, our server, was fantastic
This is a Santa Fe staple for a reason. The food, service, and atmosphere were all lovely and we loved the use of local ingredients in refined applications. Our server was fantastic and attentive as well.
Wonderful dining experience! Extraordinary service by waiter and assistant. Help with menu. We ordered squash blossoms and butter lettuce salad that were excellent. We each had elk which was amazing, tender and lean and generous portions done medium rare as our waiter suggested. It was served over a reduction sauce and had a potato cup with peas, mushroom, and more. We cleaned our plates. Unfortunately no room for dessert. An excellent and memorable dinner and experience.
Always the best place to dine in Santa Fe.
Absolutely fantastic food. We’d been a little underwhelmed by the restaurants we’d tried in Santa Fe, but Coyote Cafe knocked our socks off.
Outstanding service and excellent food. Highly recommend the main dining room.
Robert was the best waiter the 3 of us have ever had - the rest of the staff was also fabulous. Food outstanding and great ambiance.
Excellent in every way!!!
This dining experience ranks among the very top places I have eaten to include restaurants throughout Europe/Great Britain. The meal was indescribably delicious to include the starters. The wait staff were brilliant, some of the best. Seating was super comfortable. Decor is very in keeping with their name and very nice!
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks, in short, excellent.
We had an exceptional evening at Coyote Cafe. We’ve been there several times through the years, but this might be the best experience yet. The dishes were creative and delicious, as always, with marvelous service.
But it was our waiter, Carlos, that made this a special dinner!
Three different entrees, and all were delectable (pork chop, lamb, and scallops). The sides were easily as luscious as the protein on the plate! A marguerita at the beginning of the meal, and banana cream tart at the end were the perfect meal "bookends!" Service could not have been better in any way. There was just a nice hum of other diners for ambiance, and Water Street tourists to watch. Being older and having difficulty with stairs, the elevator was greatly appreciated.
Everything about this place was amazing. This was hands down the absolute best restaurant in Santa Fe and rivals any place in New York. A must if visiting and you want amazing food
Pretty weird as they just forgot to gives us our appetizers and instead brought our main course which was a bummer.
Too much sugar in the food starting with the breadsticks and the caesar salad. Service was fantastic and atmosphere is great.
Large party next door vey loud as was restaurant. Firecracker rice was inedible. Fish was very tasty as were the scallops wine selection was very good.
Great meal while on vacation with friends. They were very accommodating to shared plates. Loved the atmosphere and decor also.
Amazing meal at the counter. We just don’t go enough and that will certainly change. Loved our evening.
Service, food, vibe, everything was amazing. We had the squash blossoms, scallops, pork chop - all exceptional.
Fabulous ambience! 5-star wait staff! Wonderful Sommelier! Exquisite food
Butter lettuce salad is delicious. Followed by Scallops that are fabulous.
Wait staff are attentive without being obnoxious! Know the menu and can guide you if you ask! Go as soon as you can!! Reservations!!
The food and service was impeccable. We were a party of 4 and shared the Caesar salad and prawns which were both delicious. For main entrees we had lobster tails and filet mignon dishes. The filet and lobster tails were both scrumptious. The pappardelle that the lobster was served on lacked flavor but it wasn’t enough to complain about. The martinis were on point. Is definitely go back again.
Our waiter Robert was fantastic and fun. We received a few free side dishes to try as service from all was great. It’s loud but our group of 7 women loved the energy. Highly recommend. Food wonderful from salad to dessert to cocktails. Great menu!! Will definitely return if in Sante Fe again!
We absolutely would encourage anyone and everyone to enjoy the coyote Café. We felt our server, Carlos Etuarte, was one of the most charming, charismatic and knowledgeable servers we’ve ever encountered. Our food was superb - innovative and delicious. We had the elk, the Branzini, the eggplant ravioli, and the lobster tails, all amazing. The ambience is stunning, and all in all, this may be our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe.
Fabulous. Lovely. Great service and great food!
Coyote Cafe was outstanding! We had ate at the Coyote Cafe in Las Vegas years ago when it was in the MGM casino. We were elated to see the "original" was in Santa Fe while walking around on our first visit and knew we had to go!! We were not disappointed in the least!! I chose the filet mignon and my husband had the pork chop. They were equally delicious! The bread pudding ice cream with the sweet corn ice cream was amazing! We enjoyed Santa Fe and know we will be back and we also will return for another meal at Coyote Cafe!! P.S. The reason I gave 4 stars on two if the categories was because the prices are on the "upper" side and the room is a bit noisy. I didn't mind the noise. It was nice to see Coyote Cafe continues to be successful there!
We were seated at the time of our reservation with no waiting.
The food was superb. I had the prawns and the duck confit; my husband had the venison carpaccio and the elk loin. For dessert we had a caramel creme brulee that me out of my purist "nothing but vanilla creme brulee for me, thank you." box.
The service was outstanding. The staff is obviously well trained and experienced. We never had to signal for a server, but we never felt smothered, either.
My only complaint, and it is minor, is that it is too loud when the house is full. This is somewhat mitigated by the spectacular red Chihuly chandelier in the main dining room.
Food and the specialty drinks are always great. The servers (Carlos and Parris, in particular) are consistently efficient and attentive without being intrusive. Very nice dinner venue for locals and visitors alike.
Service was excellent. The appetizers were excellent also. We had a unique Caesar Salad wrapped in rice paper, which was wonderful. We also had the Tacos al Pastor which were perfect. The main course menu was less interesting. The branzino was good not great. The filet mignon was ordered medium and was undercooked for that specification.
We had an excellent experience and will do it again on our next trip to Santa Fe. Reservations are a must.
always, always, always a treat. super food, great service, a fine time. ambiance marked down because I don't go to a fine dining establishment and expect to sit with a bunch of people in camo shorts and tank tops. probably too tough to have a dress code! haha
Great experience. We would recommend this restaurant!
This was an awesome place. The only reservations we could get were called counter seats. This was in itself an awesome expierience getting to watch the chefs prepare the food. The food was incredible and the service as well. We would highly recommend this to our friends.
