Cowboy's Saloon and Grill is a bar that offers a variety of American dishes, especially Southwestern cuisines. It is a well-decorated place and has a fairly energetic vibe. Cowboy's Saloon and Grill also has a dance floor. The place is good for a casual meet-up with friends.
The menu of Cowboy's Saloon and Grill includes dishes like Cowboys Pulled Pork, Gyro, Cowboy's Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Wrap and many more. Other commonly ordered items from the menu include the Grilled Mahi Sandwich and Swiss Bacon Mushroom Burger. All the mains are served with a choice of sides. Appetizers here include Black Angus New York Strip, Chicken and Waffles, and half Rotisserie Chicken.
We've been there a few times in the past (not for several months), and we relish their back rib dinners.
So at our recent visit, 3 out of the 4 of us ordered full slabs and the 4th ordered a strip steak dinner.
The ribs arrive split into two slabs, one above the other. About 1-1/2 cups of sauce was carefully ladled on top, with none on the bottom rack (not good). The sauce is not cooked on the meat (not good). The sauce immediately spilled over and drowned most of my sweet potato fries (not good).
Upon my first bite, I thought, "They changed the sauce!" Not good! The sauce was plagued by a very strong, unconventional flavor that we couldn't quite identify, but it was NOT GOOD.
I asked the two other rib diners what they thought of the sauce. My friend said, "I don't know, but it's not as good as it used to be." His wife wrinkled her nose and replied, "I can't tell what it is, but I don't like it."
The meat was tender and juicy, and there was plenty of it. These were not scrawny bones! So we all took leftover ribs home with the intention of rinsing all the lousy sauce off of them and adding our own, more traditional ones.
The steak was "o.k," the cornbread went uneaten after one taste, the cheesy spinach dip was very good, the chicken quesadilla was too heavy (taste and texture both).
The molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was very good, while the key lime pie was too sweet and tasted as if it was made from a mix -- no whipped cream topping!
Service was cheerful and friendly, and the beverage pours were very fair.
Inasmuch as we went to Cowboys for the ribs, we're not going to return to Cowboys. Whoever's in the kitchen knows how to cook ribs from scratch, but doesn't know what to do next.
We visited Cowboy Saloon for the first time a few days ago to help start off a long weekend of festivities for my baby sisters' (& Country music loving) birthday weekend. The service overall was good although, towards the end when it was starting to get packed I could tell our waitress was starting to get overwhelmed. The appetizers were amazing. The food overall was pretty good (the cornbread was not so good & was not touched by anyone at the table). I was a bit disappointed to find out that the mechanic bull wasn't in working condition and hadn't been for quite sometime. That was one of the reasons we took the over hour drive out there in the first place! Overall however, the staff was upbeat and friendly and if we are in the area, I would not mind visiting again.
We were celebrating a birthday with a diverse age group. The Cowboy saloon personnel worked with us in order to accommodate our needs and requirements.
Oyuki our waitress was very friendly, professional and extremely diligent.
We'll come back to keep learning some more line dance steps ^-^ :-)
Reservation is fake!!!
I went there !
The hostess told me that in the saturday there isnt reservation!
Cowboys never more!!!
Cowboys had an old west atmosphere. I love the way the restaurant was decorated! The hostess and waitresses were dressed adorable. Our beer was served nice and cold and our ribs were Delicious!!! I would definitely visit Cowboys again.
The food was excellent. It was the second time we ate there. The service was also good, but we sat at the bar because although I made a reservation in advance for 2 at 7:30, they did not have a table available for us despite the reservation. That frustrated us, and we just decided to sit down at the bar for dinner. However, I would have preferred a table. Other than that, it was a nice evening out.
Had a great time, the girls are hot. But they allow under age girls to dance not drink , but dance line dancing, with out adult supervision. Girl at the age of 12 to 17 should no not be allowed on dance floor with adults.
very bad food, steak was dry , hamburger was dry.ServiceOutstanding
Took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food, all the tables around us came after us and left, not even busy, food was cold when it came unbelievable , ribs tough ,cornbread dry, corn on the cob a joke and chocolate cake went in garbage
OUR FAMILY'S FOURTH TIME IN THE PLACE THIS YEAR.WILL BE BACK AGAIN.EVERYTHING PERFECT.
This was a terrible experience....food is deplorable.
...that I've reserved through OpenTable. Please know that this is really NOT a restaurant. This is a bar masquerading as a restaurant. It was a mistake to take my family into this place to begin with - and an even larger mistake not to leave once we figured it out.
The food was excellent, but the waitress was not so good. We had to flag down another waitress to get drink refills.
Dinner was good. We usually come for the nightclub but figured we would give it a chance to eat then dance! What a great time!!
This was my 1st time at cowboys saloon and the food was awesome! The ribs are hugely portioned and so delicious and tender. Loved the gatot or bites and overall service was great!! Would definitely recommend and definitely will come back more often!!!
The service was super slow. We came at 6:30 only 3 other tables. There baby back ribs weren't ready for another 30 minutes. The beginning of dinner and there food that needed to be pre-cooked wasn't ready? Ok fine we waitedm we got some appetizers to start so we thought no big. At that time it got busy. All the tables were full. But with only one waitress and 10 tables and others by the pool tables, it was too much for her. Even with the 2 guys from the bar and the back to help her serve, it was too much. We were ignored and I had to get up and get extra silverware from another table. We were finally able to flag down a guy to get baskets for the eatten ribs. Something that should have came when the food finally arrived. I even gathered our plates to make room at the table for dessert (since we were waiting for a while), and get up to ask for a to go container. I'd recommend take out only as the food was very good. But I'll never go back.
Great energetic atmosphere, love the cowgirl server outfits, the bull the décor everything was great. Everyone was friendly and polite, and accommodating would definitely go back many more times.
