You may find street parking on either Stetson Drive or 6th Avenue (in front of and adjacent to the restaurant, respectively). Valet parking is available ($5) in the parking lot directly behind restaurant (enter from Scottsdale Rd, left at 2nd driveway). There are free public parking garages directly across the street at SouthBridge, as well as one at 3rd Ave. & Craftsman Court (5 minute walk).

Purchased a gift card....but it was a “gift certificate”....which will have to be recreated if total amount is not used. I would have preferred to give my gift as a “gift card” for ease of use.

Love the Stetson salad! Great service, unique food. Brought teenage boys and they loved the steak dish, truffle Mac, and poke. Great experience!

We enjoyed our dinners - they were excellent and nice service sizes. The waitress, however, was not the best. Our friend said he wanted to have a Chardonnay, and she brought him one even though he had not selected from the list yet. It was not very good, but he did not ask her to take it back. Ordering a bottle of wine was a similar experience. Her recommendation was not a good one and we were disappointed in it. I looked it up later, it was a $15 bottle and we paid in the $40+ range. I have been to Cowboy Ciao’s over the years and always have enjoyed it. The service this time was poor though.

I was there twice in two days! The first experience was great, the second was a bit below average. The hostess on the 2nd night could use some customer service training. I made a reservation for 2, but it was supposed to be 3. When we checked as 3, she was visibly annoyed, but the restaurant was half empty. I asked her if it was an issue and she said "I need to make sure we have servers"? Confusing. So you have a server for 2 people but not 3? Anyway, the food was great, service was a bit slow but the server was very nice. I'd go again but maybe skip Tuesday's.

There are two wings to the restaurant. The right side with the curved windows has better ambiance. Food is FANTASTIC -- a gastronomer's and wine-lover's delight. Our party shared a smoked salmon cobb salad, mixed table-side, to get us going. It was crazy good. Our guest had a mushroom entree with polenta that tasted like the 'shrooms had just been harvested; however, my "small plate" size was plenty. The juniper-mesquite-grilled duck was out of this world, and the pastri-styled short rib tasted as advertised. The only things that were lacking: We sat on the left, less-interesting side of the restaurant by the wall, and our server ignored us much of the time -- hence only two stars for service.

We had been anxious to return to Cowboy Ciao which we discovered with friends a few years ago. The drive for us from the Chandler area is about 1/2 hour or more and very much worthwhile.
Stetson Salad - the best we have ever tasted, any where in the world. Could make a meal of just this, wife and I split it as do our friends
Short rib - excellent, but the star of this meal is the mashed potatoes. Primo, could make a meal of the potatoes alone they are that good
Flank steak - Wife ordered this, as tender as a filet and tasty, tasty, tasty
Desert - all are incredible and creative, but I always go back to the Canadian something or other. Peanut butter, chocolate, ice cream, man!
Service - Couldn't be better, didn't catch our waiters name but he is easy to spot as he could be playing center in the NBA
Ambeince - A loud room due to hard surfaces. Unfortunate that we had to suffer a group of 5 Man Boys, loud mouth is an understatement. Our waiter equally disturbed by these guys but management never made an effort to ask them to turn it down a notch or two. Mistake on Cowboy Ciao part as everyone around us were interrupted and annoyed.
All in all, Cowboy Ciao is always a top drawer dining experience, and the immediate area makes for a nice evening walk

Excellent service and for choices. My wife got the chopped salad and mini mushroom pan fry and I enjoyed the boar chop. We were celebrating our honeymoon and our server graciously served us some pink rose and brought us a complimentary slice of cake for the road since the meal was so filling. Definitely a go to place with excellent service!

We were very much looking forward to going to Cowboy Ciou but our experience was not as good as we hoped for. Our waitress Maloney did not meet our expectations. She was constantly rushing us to order and constantly asking for our menus. The worst part was when we asked to have our mushroom dish packed to go and she put our dirty silverware in the bowl. I had to remove them. The buffalo carpaccio was excellent. The mushroom dish did not have texture and had grit in it and the duck savor dish was over smoked. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the perk was a shot. Really???

As a group of sisters visiting from out of town we were looking forward to trying the famed Stetson Chopped Salad. We also wanted to try several appetizers between the 6 of us. Sadly we were given the hard sell by our waiter to order entrees. Even so far as our waiter, when ordering a cheese plate, saying “we just buy 4 cheeses and throw them on a plate - you can get that anywhere”... WHAT?! We’re grown-ups, thank you, we want what we want, and by the way, we’re PAYING for it. Unbelievable!

Unreal chopped salad. Had the Boar Chop and was picking the meat off the bone. Took my coworkers here for a meal on a recommendation from my brother-in-law and was not disappointed. A must do for foodies.
