Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse- N. Charleston Ratings and Reviews
Worst experience! Wanted an awesome place to take my fiancé for his birthday. We've dined at Rioz in MB. So I was looking for something similar. I asked a few people and got a few good comments. Well, clearly, they haven't been to an authentic Brazilian Steak House. Our first sign should have been there are 3 tables seated on Friday. We ordered drinks and waited 15 mins. We didn't want to get our food without drinks. Buffet=Disappointing. There were 4 hot items. And the bar was missing tons. The chicken salad was probably the worst I've ever tasted which is usually my favorite part. It was mushy. The pasta was dry. I loved the mashed potatoes and mushrooms and honestly that's basically what I ate the entire night. After we fixed our plate of sides, we waited for the actual meat. 10 more minutes before anything came out. One thing came around then literally 5 minutes later someone else would come around. There was no flow at all. Usually you get what you're going to eat then you flip your card over and you enjoy your meal. We couldn't do that because the meat didn't come out like it should. The ambience was like a generic buffet. It wasn't fancy at all. The Mojito was too tangy. Most of the meat that we got was actually tasty so I can't complain about that and the chicken heart was interesting. I never had that before so that was nice. We didn't make it through all meats because we were tired of waiting. Had to ask for the pineapple. And then I got the bill. There is no way it adds up to $108 bill plus tip. So $130. I would suggest whoever runs this restaurant to make a trip to to Rioz. There's no comparison. And it was cheaper. We will not go back. We will not recommend. And we will drive the two hours to MB the next time. And I've already suggested to anyone who recommended Cowboys that they go to Rioz in the future they will be blown away and will probably never go back as well. It was literally the worst experience especially for a birthday outing.
We made reservations for 6 adults for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was our first time going there and we were impressed. I did not hear one complaint from our table. The meats were all very good and the salad bar had many delicious healthy choices, including smoked salmon and shrimp. The staff was very helpful, explained A to Z. With the menu being 'All you can eat' and getting a holiday discount on top of that, I'm sure we will go back. We might just make this a tradition.
We had been to the location in Winston Salem North Carolina and loved it. We went for Sunday brunch so in addition to all of the meets and the salad bar there were also many breakfast options. My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary and we loved it. We will definitely be back
Service has always been mediocre at Cowboy, but this time it was worse than bad. Apart from the lamb and the salad bar shrimp, the food was awful, no bread on the salad bar - even after we pointed it out. No feta in the pasta & feta salad. Under seasoned meat. Ridiculously long wait for gaucho's to appear with food.
The manager (?) was at a loss for words when we told him all this...if your leadership is crappy then the rest of the staff have little to go by.
Will never go back.
Excellent food and service. True-to-form red/green Brazilian steak house. The only knock is that the lighting is a bit bright in some sections. $35 per person for all-you-can-eat meat to go with buffet-style salad and sides. Ask for Igor. If he is working, you will certainly have a good time. He won't steer you wrong. The desserts are "dreamy," as he put it. Equally great for a big group or date night.
Reservation for 4 at 615pm. No waiting getting our table. Food was very good but ambiance was only fair. All tables in open area so we could hear all that everyone else was talking about. I would not go here again since their prices were higher than my budget.
We had Igor, yeah!!! We had seen many positive reviews on google for him!! Service from all outstanding! Food was unique and delicious!! Only negative was big price didn't include desert. For that reason we probably wouldn't return. :( Hope ya'll change cause you have a good thing but.. that.
The salad bar was plentiful and fresh. Its is very casual and the atmosphere nothing really special if you are comparing to other large chains like this. The meat in some cases was very good, some was very fatty and too much garlic. Service was for the most part good.
The Brazilian Steakhouse concept is well done on a small scale. On a Thursday night almost all the meats on the menu were available and well served. The staff was pretty attentive generally and honored a specific request for another lamb chop which ws one of the best meats available.
I've been to a few Brazilian steakhouses around the country but had never tried this one nearby. I was disappointed for several reasons. First, the ambiance...it had none. Outside of a painted wall, it felt like a cafeteria or what I might see at any "buffet" restaurant. Secondly, outside of our main server who was very nice, the gentlemen walking around and serving food were difficult to hear and understand and seemed less than enthusiastic to be coming to our table. Lastly, outside of a couple of the beef choices, the chicken, lamb and ribs were dry and overcooked so overall, didn't feel like we got much value for the $35 per person investment I made, especially since I was paying for 6 people. I would not recommend nor would I or any of my family go back again.
Efficiently run churrascaria. Expedient service with plenty OB breathing room to enjoy an excellent meal. Salad bar is diverse, well stock and just as tasty as the meat. Black beans, rice, and mushrooms were delectable. Meat selection is never ending and cooked to medium perfection. Top that off with flavorful tradition dried plaintain and cheese bread results in money well spent. Most importantly the restrooms were immaculate. Well done Cowboy.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating but food was sub par. If you've been to other Brazilian steakhouses (Rioz, Texas de Brazil, etc) you will be disappointed. Salad bar had few options for salad except for greens. Meat lacked flavor and was tough. Other hot and cold options were mediocre at best. Restaurant needs updating. Need salad options such as tomatoes or cucumbers. No bread at location labeled on bar. Chicken salad seemed old. Mashed Potatoes runny. Very disappointed. Will not go back.
It definitely wasn't what I was expecting!!! We had our card turned over (green) for roughly 30 mins and our waiter had to tell them to come back to our table with more meats. Service was not great AT ALL!!! The water had a funny taste!!! I feel like I came on the wrong night especially when there nobody at the door to greet us and the place was half empty. Collard greens were nasty...I will not be returning...
