What Insiders Are Saying
A conveniently located restaurant in Midtown that’s more than just convenient. The food and service at Covina are great.
We are out-of-towners who were looking for good food, varied menu, nice atmosphere, decent prices. Covina was wonderful on most accounts. Being from Cleveland, spending $26 on a pizza is a bit outrageous, but it was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely recommend to others.
Good food and vibe but service could have been better. E.g. we ordered coffees that had to be reordered since the server changed and it came after our food.
Went for brunch, Everything we had here was exceptional... but the standouts were the wagyu brisket sandwich and spicy honey pizza. But you can’t order wrong with the menu. So delicious and would love to go back!
Everything very good. No complaints. Fun and friendly place. Parpdelle Bolognese and buger were excellent. Would definitely return.
Nice atmosphere. Food was tasty and I'd love to go back.
Good food - great service. We enjoyed the pizza appetizer. Meatballs, not so much. Amazing service with regard to a personable waiter and timely delivery of everything we ordered. The cod dish is awesome.
Went for boyfriends birthday. Such a great meal - ordered meatballs, mendili, and spicy honey pizza!! Cinnamon ice cream was amazing had pieces of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in it. Will be back soon. Thanks !
Extremely underrated spot but everything was done perfectly. Not too loud or crowded.
The salads, veggies and pizzas were GREAT! I wouldn't recommend ordering fish here because the portions are very small for the price. Otherwise everything was great!
Love this place! Everyone who works there is so nice too!
Food and service was excellent!
Great meal and service
Pizza, Fish, apps all wonderful
Great food! Servers make great recommendations and all of it is delicious!
A few of my co-workers recommended Covina for dinner with my Dad who was visiting from out of town. We (mostly he) was blown away! He doesnt ever get excited about restaurants and he has decided Covina is the new go-to when he is in town or for work dinners.
MUST HAVE the meatballs (best meatballs of my life) and the honey pizza
Expensive, but very high quality food. The pasta won't disappoint.
Food was delicious and sever was fantastic! Great recommendations. A bit louder but still a good atmosphere. Very enjoyable
Covina is DANNNKK!!!! Get the Spicy Honey pizza ASAP!
Delicious food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere!
We really appreciated the champagne and birthday cupcake and ice cream and sorbet on the house!!
Light Fluffy Meatbeals w/a sweet tomato sauce
Lovely spot - we will make it a regular
Food was better than expected with excellent pizza, pasta as well as other unexpected wins like Wagyu beef and ceviche that was very good. It was much larger than expected but still warm and intimate. I will go back.
Really nice place with good food and great music. Honey infused pizza is worth trying!
Covina is home. We love the ambience, the staff, the food and atmosphere. The bartenders are extremely creative, knowledgable and talented with their creations. The food is always changing, always delicious. Highly recommend
Awesome!! Food is so good and great for sharing. Staff are positive, upbeat and attentive. Great meal
Food portions was the only disappointment. Felt they were small, minimal and not aligned with prices. Plus, it would be nice for a small side to accompany main dishes (e.g., salmon, etc.).
Excellent truffle fries, excellent wait staff who accommodated our party of 9 with ease.
Attentive to us but not smothering.
A menu that has something for children and adults.
We had a reservation for this past Sunday morning, however upon arrival there was a note on the door advising that the restaurant was closed for a special event. We were dismayed that neither the restaurant nor Open Table had alerted to us that our reservation would not be honored.
Very attentive staff that cater to your every need. Lovely for a first, and now second date to come.
A great place for breakfast. I met a colleague for breakfast at Covina and I enjoyed it.
Great hidden away lunch spot where you don't want to go low end or high end. Good service.
Menu decent. Shared humus was delicious. Salmon good too.
Def recommend. Make a reservation, I think it's going to get quite popular.
the chicken piri was sooo small it was embarrassing !!!!
Really liked this restaurant and it was my first visit. The site I visited for additional information, The Infatuation, got it right. Loved the ambiance- modern with mood lighting, nice vibe and the food was great. Had a pizza- really tasty- great sauce, nice pasta and a chicken dish with sides. They do a great job and I can see why it is populr.
A little low key during the lunch hour, but gorgeous restaurant with great food!
Lovely place, good service. Food was good but portions were almost ridiculously small for the price - and yes, even for NYC. I had the gulf shrimp. Three small
shrimp and half a cup of polenta: $28. Usually I don’t balk at the price but it felt wrong. Otherwise a peaceful and nice place.
The waiter was wonderful and the food was delicious. He was very accommodating with my 2 nephews, age 4 and 6. We were able to eat quickly and they loved the pasta.
Very attentive service. Good for sharing. Honey pizza is the best!
Had dinner with my husband before a jazz show. We were seated but then no one approached or greeted us to take our order. We had to ask who was our waitress. A major turn off, especially since it was our first visit. I had the spicy honey pizza and my husband had the chicken. Both dishes were good. We MAY return on our next visit to NY, but there are so many great restaurants in NY who also have great food but with much better service.
