Food was good but was immensely disappointed by the wait staff, especially management. We came in as a group of 2 on a Friday night that was not very busy and we had a reservation. However, even with a reservation, we STILL had to WAIT for a table. Very unprofessional and staff treated us as though we were in the way and had to right to be annoyed. We felt bad for the bartender who had to take our orders. Not a sustainable way to run a restaurant!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Cove Restaurant/Bar. We went on a Thursday and the food was exceptional! We were waited on by the manager, so that was quite nice. He had some recommendations for us and they worked out exactly house he said they would. They have numerous Salt water fish tanks, which are very intriguing to me. I got to watch all those beautiful fish swimming right in front of me. I was happy! The Food is very well prepared and the service is top-notch. We do not drink alcohol, but the bar was definitely the place to be. We had a really nice time.
Our server had a large table to take care of along with our table of 3. Our drinks were lost. Nothing was brought to our table .ie, bread, hush puppies or crackers prior to our appetizer and meals. We Zwaited a fair amount of time with no food being offered. zz
The menu was flexible. We were allowed to substitute sides for the sides that came with our platters.
Relatively new acquisition. Needs some TLC, but staff warm and friendly. We had a small issue, but was handled by manager very quickly, to our satisfaction. Pretty small menu, need a few more options. Overall good. We will visit again.
Nice place. The outdoor seating area is on a pond and they actually have a alligator in it. He comes right up to the deck. Pretty cool! The food was good but we've had better. The menu seemed limited. Otherwise it was nice. We'll probably go again, if not just to see the alligator.
Cove Oyster Bar and Grille hosted a fundraising night for the Hope4Kids After School program at Hope Church in Hanahan SC. Cove pledged 10% of the day's sales (May 29) to Hope4Kids. We went for dinner and ran into 2 other families there who recommended the Oyster Po Boy. We went for the raw oysters for our appetizer and the shrimp ceasar salads. My mother ordered the clam chowder. Everything was excellent and our hostess was so nice! Special Kudos to the oyster shucker who was by himself and had to shuck for happy hour and dinner guests - you the man!!!
Had a wonderful experience here. Food was very good, service was excellent. Wife and I had shrimp. Very good. I also had oysters which were wonderful. I asked waitress about the charbroiled oysters. She had the chef make a sample for me. It was excellent. I may go back again for an order.
