So sorry to hear that we were there on closing night. Hope they reopen in another location.
The food was wonderful. The owner came around several times to chat and he was great. However the server seemed to be having a bad day and was on the snippy side a couple of times. It’s a shame this place is closing.
We have been coming to Coup for many years. We are very sad to see it shut its doors, and hope it will reopen in the near future. Best of luck to them
Incredible as always, the food was phenomenal! So sad they are shutting down at this time. This is my wife and I’s favorite place for a fun date night!
So sorry to see this restaurant closing. love the food and the atmosphere
I’m sad this place is closing.
We always have a wonderful time and meal here! Never disappoints!!!
Been there several times, love it! They have a lunch menu, and a dinner menu. Ample parking, nice owner, Ron
Wonderful food, loved the brunch entrees. Everything is super fresh and very appetizing. There are so many appetizing choices, it was hard to make a decision on what to order. The service was excellent, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I love the atmosphere and vibe of this place. It is my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood and I'm so sad they are closing. I hope this team will open another restaurant soon
This is a nice little brunch spot that my wife and I visited. The food and service were great and the venue is nice. Sadly, it is closing its doors on 1/31/2018.
World class in every way !! We will miss this place!!
Amazing food! I had the scallops with lime rizotto and everything was cooked to perfection. We also had three different deserts all of which were delicious! Even the pumpkin pie (even though I don't normally like pumpkin desserts). I had a cabernet that was out of this world! I highly recommend this place.
Derrick our waiter was great - great service and very funny! He made it a great experience! The food and ambiance are always good!
We dined at C de T New Year’s Eve. By the time we decided we wanted to go out, everyplace else was already full and it was the only place we could get a reservation. I was eager to try, but the disappointment started at the onset. Although moderately attended, the staff seemed confused and unprofessional as if they had gathered their nieces and nephews to help for he night. We waited a long time for anyone to come to our table. There was a fixed menu that on paper looked tantalizing but the reality was far less so. The whitefish appetizer wasn’t bad but had more beets than fish. The iconic dish, Soupe à l’oignon, was my biggest letdown... insipid and watery, no gratin, just a broth-soaked crouton on top. I had the Beef Bourginon, another watered down disaster. The desert, a flourless chocolate cake was delicious but by that time I had run out of patience. They had a nice wine list... thank God.
Wonderful dining with the exception of the service. It seemed the owner/manager must not have been there. We ordered a bottle of wine and were told they didn't have it, but we could order it by the glass!?!?!? Very weird. Our primary server seemed either not trained well or just clueless. We will return as the food was excellent, we loved the ambiance of the restaurant and how easily we could have a conversation without having to yell at each other to be heard.
A small French boutique tucked away in a converted private home. Served in private rooms and on white tablecloths, the service and cuisine were what one would expect along La Rive Gauche.
Everything delightful. Reasonably price for the quality of food and service. Wine prices not inflated.
Very cute place - the dining rooms are small and cozy since it used to be a family home.
Ideal place for a quiet get-together with delicious food. Would definitely recommend.
I heard great things for years about Coup des Tartes. It lived up to its reputation. Excellent Roquefort salad. Mashed potatoes were light, fluffy and seasoned to perfection. Meats were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. The French ambiance sets the right note without being heavy handed. We want to come back soon to try their nice patio. The fireplace, lights and green surroundings are inviting.
Very disappointed. Was hoping for a cozy holiday dinner but experienced a very bland decor and depressing atmosphere. The rooms were sad and cold. Wait staff overly intrusive and made me feel they were rushing me to pay and leave. The food was ok and definitely not worth the prices they charged. Will never go back.
The owner was in the restaurant and checked in with us to see how everything was. He seemed very engaged in his customer and proud of his restaurant.
The onion soup is amazing with the right amount of oniony taste and little salt. Everyone liked the selections they chose.
The rooms are very cozy and it feels like you're having dinner at a friends house. we recommend it.
We truly enjoyed our 60th Aniversary with you. We were visiting Phoenix as we were married there. Although we do not return very often, we WILL visit you the next.
Tazz and Jean Pettebone
The food and service was excellent. The dishes were presented and prepared with care and they were outstanding.
The restaurant is very charming and intimate. We were in a little room (with a few other tables) by ourselves with French music playing softly. A very romantic place. It was a Tuesday, so a little quiet.
I would highly recommend it and would go back.
One of our favorite spots for brunch, lunch and dinner. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and fantastic good always make for a pleasant dining experience. We have never been disappointed.
Came for for date, was a very nice dinner. Very fancy.
After many visits we went to dinner and thought the food had seriously deteriorated. Beef bourguignon was watery.
Had been a favorite place for us - a number of special occasions were celebrated there including birthdays and the day my wife and I got engaged, so when planning my wife's birthday, I knew she would want to go to Coup des Tarts. Not having been to the new location, we were anticipating a great meal and terrific service. Made a reservation 30+ days in advance and specified it was for my wife's birthday. The new place is nice and almost as quaint as the prior location. Server was very nice. The food, unfortunately fell far short of expectations. Seasoned with what seemed to be only salt, and a great deal of it. Both our dishes (different entrees) were well over salted - nearly inedible.
Finally, no mention of her birthday (in spite of me also mentioning it to our server when we were first approached) let alone any sort of birthday treat/desert. We left feeling that what once was our favorite place, was sadly no longer our favorite place.
Wife picked (her birthday) and we went with friends. One friend is a light eater so she was the only one with food left on her plate(s) up to and including dessert (she did take home for another meal). Wine list is somewhat abbreviated but our selection was excellent.
Excellent food and outstanding service. Lovely outdoor patio that is so relaxing and great for quiet conversations. It was a special anniversary for us, and we enjoyed it immensely.
We have enjoyed Coup des Tartes for over 10 years. Love the new location. Food was delicious and service is always excellent!
The entire dining experience was good. The ambiance is very unique - like eating in a home. The selection of food was very good - something for everyone. Every dish was very tasty. Only one negative, the Caesar salad was not authentic.
Wonderful dinner. we sat outside by the fireplace and and the ambience really fit our special evening. Will return soon to have a delightful and very tasty dinner.
It's a very nice restaurant and location. Love the feeling of separated rooms to control ambiance plus just nice areas. Service was great and attentive.
Sat by the outdoor fireplace and had a great date! Our favorites were the Onion Tart, the Brie, and the Girl Scout Cookie Tart.
I have been here a number of times and keep going back because I like the "feel" of it.
Excellent food, ambiance. We had Moroccan lamb sandwich and
ALways good food. This is my sixth visit over the years. A low key resaurant where conversation can occur. No disco beat in background
My wife and I have been coming here for years, even before they moved to their new location. It is our favorite place for special dinners. Everything about it is fantastic: the food, the staff and defiantly the ambiance.
I love this restaurant. We visit it when we can and are never disappointed. I had the scallops with lemon risotto, which was amazing, and my husband had the cordon bleu. The girl scout tart is to die for. You really can't go wrong with this place!
The food, service, & ambiance were wonderful. The dusty parking lot was not.
