Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Florida Ratings and Reviews
Food was just okay. Colossal crab cocktail was far from colossal. Lobster bisque hardly had any lobster in it. Tasted heavy with sherry. Lobster mac n cheese tasteless and no lobster in it. Steak though was excellent. Service just okay. Took forever to get water refill as well as to get my check paid so we could leave. Nyy steakhouse at Coconut Creek far superior.
Hands down the BEST chicken I've ever had in my life! (My husband said the same thing) I took my husband here for his birthday on 10/28/2017 and we've been ranting and raving about this place to anyone who will listen ever since! The service is as exceptional as the food and I can't wait until we go back.
Restaurant & food are fabulous (prices are on the high side). Wait staff was terrific.
Bread sticks with black sesame seeds are out of this world. Filet Mignon was outstanding, as well as the garlic mash & the au gratin potatoes (sides are enough for 2 people to share)
We went to celebrate my friend's birthday. After dinner then brought her a brownie dessert with a candle - very nice.
Council Oak always is outstanding. But this visit, the restaurant outdid itself. Front bar service was excellent. Hostesses (the one "weakness" noted in the past) were warmly receptive, responsive, seated us on time, and fulfilled our request for a table at the back of the house. Perfect.
Killer wine list and tuna tartare appetizer. The best dry-aged steaks in south Florida. Amazing sides (potatoes au gratin; roasted corn; and roasted Brussels sprouts). And unbelievably good French press coffee to compliment whatever dessert you choose.
Absolutely horrible service! We sat for a reservation at 9:45 and didn't receive our meals till after 11:00. When the food finally came out it was just warm. We ordered everything from steak to seafood and it was all luke warm. Im not expecting to be treated like a princess with a crown, but for the money your spending here, I would like to think that having a good server and a hot meal should be on the check list.
From the moment we walked in, we were treated as if we were the only guests in the restaurant. Our wait staff was attentive, friendly and eager to ensure we had an exceptional experience. The food was beyond compare.I must say our entire party was blown away by the quality of the food. I was raised on a cattle ranch and have eaten steak all my life and this was the best steak I have ever had. Our party had Filet Mignon, New York strip and bone in Prime Rib, cooked from medium rare to medium well and everyone said the same thing "best steak ever". The appetizers and deserts were equally pleasing, however the steak is the star of the show here.
Counsel Oak Sunday brunch is wonderful. The food and service are usually excellent. Food was great this time but unfortunately service was not. We were left holding fresh food plates while old plates were not removed. Waitor was not as attentive as our usual experience.
Council Oaks at Hard Rock is their Prime Steak Gourmet restaurant. Service is excellent. We had the filet duo which was prepared perfectly, and I had the broiled snapper which was large and generous and very tasty. The side dishes are very tasty and the banana cream cheesecake dessert was melt in your mouth.
From the moment we walked in we felt the energetic vibe. We were seated quickly with reservation. Restaurant and bar area were pretty full. The food was of excellent quality and surf and turf selection was great. We had Wagu steak, Chilean seabass, NY strip strak and Scallops--delish!!! No poor choices... for dessert we had creme brulee and bananas foster cheesecake. Can't wait to go back!
