Traditional steak/seafood fine-dining restaurant in the midst of a loud casino. Comfortable seating and excellent service. Food was very good but the portions were absurdly enormous. Fortunately, our server warned us, but we still had a lot of food left over. Everything is a la carte, so the two of us ordered one salad and two side dishes to share with our steaks, and even then we couldn't finish -- and we're eaters! I know that's a "thing" with some restaurants, but excess like that bums me out and makes me less likely to return. Better to offer smaller portions, which allows diners to try more offerings and prevents so much uneaten food from being thrown in the trash.

Have been to the restaurant at least 6 to 10 times before this visit both the filet and strip steak were heavily seasoned and extremely salty. Service was excellent. Music was top notch in the lounge after dinner

great place to dine. Make reservations, hostess was wonderful and allowed us to sit in a specific spot .. Waiter was great and very knowledgeable about the foods offered. Reminded us about the desserts. Food was outstanding, fresh and heavenly to eat, great flavors. Dessert was hearty, lots of chocolate and whip cream.. We would recommend to anyone..

We had a 6:30 reservation through Open Table, arrived early, checked in and watched many people who arrived after us, be seated. At 7pm I asked the hostess if we will be able to eat and be out in time for Barry Manilow's show. The hostess was nasty and said everyone in the restaurant was there for the show, and we had to be patient. We were finally seated at 7:15 at a small table for 3, when we were 4. We had no time for appetizers or dessert, gulped down our dinner and went off to the show. I wouldn't recommend Council Oak to anyone who has show tickets.

Great dinner before seeing a concert at Hard Rock Live. Great service and food, plus our waiter was the best. His name is Gustavo.

Have eaten here quite a few times but on last occasion was disappointed. The salad which was pricey was not fresh, tasteless and uninteresting. There are not enough smaller plates offered on menu for those of us who like fine dining but don’t eat large portions. Therefore I usually share meals here or have salad and appetizer. Steaks are really good though - seafood is ok but not memorable - waiter seemed uninterested when we left most of the salad although did take it off check. Would only recommend if you are staying and don’t want to go outside hotel as there is only one other decent recent in hotel and we were there for two nights so wanted a change.

The filet was very good as was the side dishes. The restaurant is extremely noisy. After dinner we went to the bar in the center of the casino. Music in the background, slot machines going. Far quieter than the restaurant.

Here’s the worst part. We ate with another couple. My wife and I sat next to each other, NOT across from each other. We had half a filet, an order of mushrooms, and Au gratin potatos left over. The waiter left the bag between me and my wife. Since the other couple had a bag as well there was no question who belonged to each bag. Next day turned out we had each other’s bag and we are 50 miles apart. I left a message for the restaurant manager and 2 days have passed. No call.

We had a reservation for 5 & the place was mobbed. The waiter was young and somewhat inexperienced, ( wrong use of terms, language). The prices have increased at least 20%! The food was good at best. Potatoes au gratin were bland. Ordered a bone in filet mignon, medium, very tender, but overdone. We were in and out in less than 1 hour 20 minutes. Not my idea of a romantic relaxing evening with my husband. Felt rushed.
