I would recommend, but after the hotels newness is toned down... it was extremely crowded and loud. Overall is a great place to dine, but I will not be going back for a while...
The food was to as expected for the price.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We have been eating at the Council Oak for 10 years. This is there 3rd location at the Hard Rock and by far the best. Also the best service we have ever had.
Great food and ambiance , service was pretty good as well
Birthday. Great sever Lee and great food and beautiful restaurant
Great brunch for $79. Wasn’t in the new council oak till 12/1 so it was at KURO across the way in the old hard rock building. Only part that bothered me was the ridiculous $20 for valet that took 20 min to get our car back and they don’t validate it after dropping $100/head on brunch
The new place was small and the seating arrangement was horrible they have one person sitting in a booth and then ask larger parties to sit at tables
New location is gorgeous! Huge! Excellent service. Steak and stone crabs were superb!
Tim was an excellent host. Extremely knowledgeable when it came to our wine selection and explained the different cuts of meat. The restaurant was packed and it still felt as if we had individual service. The food was amazing and came out in a very timely manner. I was celebrating an anniversary and Tim came through with a nice desert for us. Overall great experience.
Food wasn’t as good as before. I think they were too busy and just worried about getting food out. Originally ordered a lobster dish and lamb, the lobster was overcooked, the lamb was just ok. Prior to this experience they had the best lamb I’ve had. Our dinner was mediocre, and we were disappointed. Even the sides were nothing special.
Everything was wonderful. It was nice service, the staff worked collaborative and was attentive
Fabulous Steak and wine!
Sat down before 7:00 in the bar area. Waitress was attentive. Ordered our food with a bottle of wine. Just as we finished our salad the meal came out. Salmon was not barely warm and the plate it was served on was cold. Waitress was in the weeds at this point. Had to flag down a manager to tell him about my salmon. He handed it off the the waitress. Now my wife is eating by herself while I wait for my meal. It finally comes and its hot, but as I’m eating it, it had some bones in it. At this point I’m not sending it back again. From the salad on the waitress was too buys to pour our wine or even see if we needed anything. Had to flag someone down to get a desert menu. It’s our 3rd time at this new location and it was my worst experience.
Steak tasted like someone didn’t know how to cook over a wood fire. The sides came out cold and the service was just ok and for a restaurant that is so supposed to be high end the service and food should be amazing. I will never go back and will make sure none of my friends do.
First time in the new space and it’s as good as it always was, with some of the best steaks, seafood and sides around. The room is spacious and beautiful, the tables not at all crowded, and the service attentive and professional.
Extremely disappointing in the level of the food quality and service received at this restaurant. My husband ordered a steak that was mediocre at best. I had a chop salad and crab cake. My chop salad was primarily lettuce with very limited additional ingredients that we could find. My crabcake was dried out. The best thing about our food was our side dish of cream spinach. I find it very sad to think that a steak restaurant of the supposed caliber would not have a much better level of food than what we had offered to us that evening. As for service, the gentleman that offered us our water and bread (not sure was a busboy or an assistant waiter) was absolutely wonderful. He had a personality that was charming and extremely friendly. Our waiter on the other hand was extremely nonchalant, did not smile, and seem very hassled to be waiting on us at all.I would not recommend this restaurant,Based upon very poor food and service
Love Council Oak never had a bad meal there yet! Beautiful job on the new location!
Anthony and team are awesome.
Got what I paid off. Thanks
The waiters were awesome, they explained the menu and asked if there was anything we needed constantly, seafood was very fresh, ordered seafood tower, crab cocktail, rib eye steak and baked potato, everything was delicious,we were seated next to the window with beautiful views of the Seminole Hardrock guitar.
This restaurant needs a lot of help. Wrong drinks came out, and the menu has ZERO wines by the glass of Pinot Noir, Malbec, etc. Very limited wine by the glass selection and they force you to buy a bottle.
Heirloom salad was amazing!!
The oysters for $18 for a half dozen are highway robbery. They were tiny and had no flavor. You can get better oysters at happy hour of a dive bar than here.
Entrees- the Dover sole was overcooked and had no taste.
The King crab was very pricey but was good.
The best part of the entire night was the brioche rolls. These were fantastic. It’s worth going to this place just for the rolls.
I cannot rate it as a steakhouse as no meat was ordered but the steaks looked decent.
The restaurant live music in the lounge was nice but the meal was underwhelming to say the least.
I wasn’t happy with the food. Cam out cold. Had to be sent back several times. Very disappointed
The food was excellent! Service was not great.. the iPad with the wine list on it died so we asked for another one and the waiter said ok.. he disappeared than our food came and we asked him for the list again and he said ok and that was the last we saw him.. a different waiter took our desert order.. all in all the food was excellent but the service was not what you would expect when spending $600 on dinner for 3 people..
Great food but need better desserts.
Steak was very good, rest of the meal was poor with not much choices. Overrated and overpriced.
Tough steak, extremely expensive stone crab
Overall was an amazing experience, we highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. "Stephen", our server was very knowledgeable and observant of our needs..we suggest requesting this gentleman.
Service was wonderful and the food was the best
If they only want a good meal, this is the place to go. If they want a quiet intimate dinner, go somewhere else.
Superb! Excellent Cuisine Great staff great Experienve
It was the BOMB better then it was 👍
Been eating here for many years and without question, the food, service and overall experience is AMAZING. My ONLY gripe is since they've move to the new guitar shaped hotel, the lounge and live music can now be heard (loudly) through out the entire dining room. That may be a plus for some but I usually have business dinners here and it makes it difficult to have a discussion. Even so, it's still one of my favorite spots and cannot recommend it enough.
Have not been here in a few years and was considerably better since the last time. We will definitely be back soon!
Rather disappointing. I ordered a filet medium and it came out rare/medium rare. My wife ordered lobster thermidor and it was cold. For the price point it was a extremely lackluster meal.
It started great! The staff is amazing
Our appetizers were great. My wife has a French onion soup, I had the beef tartar and my wife and I split the shrimp cocktail. Our entree was the Porter house steak which we asked to be cooked medium ( since my wife is almost 6 months pregnant and she can’t eat anything cooked less than that. When we got the steak the outside was very tough and difficult to cut even with a steak knife, and when we did cut In it was raw. It kind of ruined the experience because the last memory we had was the steak. I would rate this place a 7.9 out of 10. Would give in the 9s if the steak was better.
Great service, beautiful decor, food was not all that great.
Moving to the new room at the Hardrock this week. Looking forward to the major change from the temporary space during the building of the guitar hotel.
Arrived as was told it was closed for a private event. No apology no help in finding another place to eat. They were rude and disrespectful.
Great as always
The restaurant will be moving to the Guitar site. This will help tremendously since the present location feels very closed in and cluster phobic. Service and food was excellent.
Great steaks and excellent wine variety. Been there multiple times and it never dissappoints.
