Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Florida Ratings and Reviews
I always eat at Council Oak when I go to the Hard Rock. This visit was four people.
We started with the raw bar sampler and it was fantastic. The shrimp were huge. The crab and lobster so fresh and served with the perfect trio of sauces. I had the veal chop, which was closest to a NYC veal chop you will find in Florida.
The steaks were perfect, sides were fresh. Wild mushrooms were perfect.
You will never feel rushed while dining here. Salads are huge and everything is large enough for sharing .
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere .
The wait staff was very friendly and quick to accomodate. Very attentive. Water in glass refilled constantly. We sat close to the kitchen door so lots of kitchen clanging and talking noise. We would come again but ask to sit some where else. Loved the food!!
Made the reservation weeks ago. Got the confirmation in writing. Additionally, I got a call from the restaurant, three days earlier to confirm my reservation and to remind me that this was a special occasion dinner for New Year's Eve and the cost would be $180 per person WITHOUT THE TIP. I acknowledged everything.
For some reason, night before New Years Eve, I got an email from Open Table, telling me the Restaurant had cancelled my reservation. After SCREAMING at everyone and their mother about this, they finally reinstated my reservation. They "CLAIM" that it was done by mistake.
My STRONG RECOMMENDATION IS TO CONSTANTLY CHECK YOUR RESERVATION and EXPECT to have it cancelled.
They were supposed to find out what went wrong and call me back......... LOL........ Still awaiting their call to explain what happened.
The restaurant had a nice, romantic ambiance. We got the tuna tartare. It was good, but would have preferred chunks of avocado vs blended. The steak I ordered was cooked just right and tender. The Brussels sprouts were cooked just right, with bacon. The lobster Mac n cheese was creamy. The Tattinger champagne was great.
Our first time at Council Oaks. We went to celebrate my husband’s 55th birthday. Food was outstanding. We could have finished the meal with just the steamed mussels and the Caesar salad , but we also enjoyed the sea bass and the Ny strip. (Took leftovers with us !). Our waiter Jake was fantastic and appreciated his recommendations. Will be going back for other celebrations!
Unfortunately it was not a good experience due to being told to stand at entrance and wait, which was for over 20 mins despite having a booking. This was extremely disappointing. My partner and I we entertaining two friends and this was not enjoyable at all. We asked after 15 minutes the host said she would check out why and the never came to let us know what was going on, just kept walking by and ignoring us. Food was good but been treated better in MacDonald’s
Council Oaks hits all the marks of a great restaurant. My group celebrated 2 birthdays and ate Steaks, Veal Chops and Seafood. Great Veggies and sides. Dessert was amazing - a fudge brownie to "die for". Also, French Press coffee. Very NIce! Thanks Very Much
The council oak has outstanding food and service st casino prices. If you want to eat at the hard rock casino, this is the place for steak. However, I would not make a point if going to the restaurant if the casino was not part of the outing. They have a amazing selection of steak and seafood, All always cooked perfectly. Excellent wine selection, sides, and desserts. Expect to pay 1.5 times what you would at a high end steakhouse.
Food and service were first rate. Decor was upscale. I will definitely be returning.
Cigarette smell from casino, bathroom was not within the restaurant. Staff carried racks of glasses thru dining room still in plastic dishwasher racks, several times.
Everything from the service to the food was excellent, as always. We loved the creamed corn that used to be on the menu, and really wish you would bring it back. We were told it could be made upon request, so we requested it. It wasn’t the same as the original menu item, but we appreciate the effort made to satisfy the customer. Please bring back the creamed corn!
It was just a romantic getaway dinner for the wife and I and it didn't disappoint. We started with the shrimp cocktail 4 large prawns prepared spot on. We followed that with French onion soup and lobster bisque. The soups where tasty and delightful my wife claimed the french onion was the best ever. The bisque had chunks of lobster both served where served in large bowls that we couldn't finish. Our main course was the prime rib served well for my wife and I had a nightly special 2 - 4 ounces filets one with a crab meat topper and the other with blue cheese. Both items came cocked to perfection and whereas tasty as they looked. We split a large baked potato loaded. We both had water they offer 2 different types a bottled variety and tap that we have been drinking for hundreds of years. We choose the tap and we survived. The last item of the night was bananas foster cheesecake that was enough for 2. I had an anisette and the night came to an end. The server made the experience delightful. He was knowledgeable and honest I can't express enough how he made us feel welcome and relaxed. That meal with tip around 200.00
