Everything was great but wasn’t a fan of the bisque and the dean spinach was horrible.. it was very fishy? Everything else was deliscious!
I go to this location several times a year for Sunday Brunch. The food is terrific. We always try to get Timothy as our server when we go. He is very pleasant and attentive to all our needs while we are there. I have recommended this brunch to many friends and have invited family and friends on special occasions.
The food was great as always. The service was trop notch. They are in a temporary location so there wer a lot od curtains.
I was prepared to pay for a quality experience, knowing the menu would be pricey but expecting the fare to be worth it. I ordered the $60 raw bar for 2. The 6 oysters were the worst I have ever had—small, tiny really, and filled with bits of cracked shell to boot. The 6 large shrimp were tough and chewey. The chilled cut-up lobster parts were just okay, and the one chilled Alaskan crab leg average as well. They serve it with a dish of cocktail sauce and a dish of melted butter. Being that the entire thing is cold and served on ice, the melted butter seemed an odd choice. $60 for a quality raw bar is justified. $60 for this fare was a rip-off.
The cocktails were expensive as well and nothing special. My friend did enjoy her onion soup.
That’s it: 2 drinks, one for each of us, the raw bar, and a bowl of soup. $120 with the tip. Next time I’ll use it at a black jack table, and win or lose, still feel I got more for the money.
The Bone in Veal parm was amazing I highly recommend & the lobster mac n cheese was a nice side dish my friend had. Drinks were a bit on the stiff side fyi, I didnt mind but this is just a pre warning.
Food better than ever!! Our waiter Michael was exceptional!!!! We had a marvelous dinner.
Tried to charge to my room, took 25 minutes.Manager said computer problem.Had to wait,Fine dining in a ball room? Wife sent fish back.
Updated Italian menu is not what was expected. Calamari was bland, escargot was below par, potatoes au gratin were uncooked. The only good things were the cocktails and the meat,
We where there to celebrate our 24th anniversary..
Chad our waiter was so professional and such an awesome guy .. he made recommendations that where right on point ..
The stakes are like butter..
Chad made our experience unforgettable..
The crust on the outside of the steak was the best thing I ever had. The lobster Mac n cheese was everything I could've asked for. Great place with great food.
The food was the best l have had at a brunch. The preparation of the food quality of food was Top Notch.
I ordered my filet medium and it came well done.
My fiance ordered a bone in which tasted very weird. It had a horrible after taste.
The mushroom side was awful.
We left without even ordering dessert and it was my fiance's birthday... Had to go get ice cream instead.
Location of restaurant was moved and they had it set up in a ballroom next to the poker room. It did not look like a place you should be spending $40 on an 8oz filet.
Near excellent food, but not the experience we were expecting. Council Oak is one of our favorite restaurants. They have temporarily moved, and the new setting makes it more of a large cafeteria adorned with giant curtains versus the elegant restaurant it used to be. Again, no complaints about the food or service, but missing the old setting. Hoping the new setting, in about a year from now, will equal if not surpass the old.
Delicious seafood restaurant to eat at .nice atmosphere expensive but I had to try it for the first time
Food always outstanding as is our waiter, Edguardo.
Everyone ordered steaks.. all super salty.
Great service though.
Great food service and ambiance recommendable this place has incredible food
Overall great dining experience!! Worth the trip and the cost is reasonable. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy another ribeye !!
The place/food is tired. Need new places to eat @ Hardrock. Looking forward to the place being re-vamped.
Best Surf & Turf i have had in a long time. Everything was perfect, just wish i had room or dessert. Thank you
The service and food was impeccable. Certainly would do it again, but only for special occasion, quite pricey.
Council Oak Restaurant is elegant with professional service. The food is perfectly prepared and presented. Waiter Keith was a terrific waiter!
The food, as always, was so delicious. Our server was solicitous but not overly so. We will definitely dine here again
Always a wonderful meal at Council Oaks. Great food, well prepared. Linley is an exceptional waiter.
Even though they are in a temporary location the food and service the same amazing quality as original location!!
Going through renovations. They did their best with the space but definitely could use better ambiance. Truffle butter with the bread was fantastic and a great touch. Steaks were perfect. Dessert was terrible! Bring back the chocolate soufflé.
The filet mignon and lobster were fabulous. The potatoes au gratin were soupy. Service was excellent. They are in a temporary location in one of the ballrooms while the new hotel is being built so there is no atmosphere what so ever. It is a larger room with ceiling to floor curtains.
Currently located in a Ballroom that was converted. Until construction is done in 2019 for the expansion this will be the new home for OAK. Not my style for the $$ that we paid. Servers are top flight as well as wine selection and food. But Ambiance is hard to overcome. Will try again after the new relocation.
Alexander was outstanding, the food was great and all had a wonderful time
Whenever my husband and I stay at Hard Rock in Hollywood we eat at Council Oak. They have the best steaks in town and the portions are huge. Sides have always been delicious also.
First time at restaurant. The food was delicious though pricey.
The service was wonderful. Would recommend this place to anyone especially for a special occasion.
We really like to go to this place.. Kinda pricy (especially for the Waygu New York Strip - everyone should try it once, but I keep coming back for more) but theres other steaks as well.. Keith always does us well for service!! They took away the banana fosters cheesecake dessert BOOO!! and not a fan of the new location which is a converted meeting space.. Food and service though is the same as the old location (great) and Im sure when they open the new location next year will be good again!!
Even in their temporary quarters Council Oak still shines. While Hard Rock is remodeling the restaurant made the best of it by hanging dark blue drapes over all the walls. This gives it a romantic, dark feel. The service and food is as good as always. I had the filet with a chopped salad and garlic mashed potatoes. We appreciated that the server told us that the sides were very generous and shared the potatoes. As delicious as they were the two of us were only able to eat half the portion. The King Crab was the special and it was plentiful and tasty. The service was wonderful.
We had the escargot appetizer, which was delicious, and it was large enough to share. Our main course of filet and potatoes augratin, we’re done to perfection. Service was excellent and the ambiance was very good. Quiet enough to carry on a conversation. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I felt the drinks were Not as great as in the past.
Amazing food, service. Was a little pricey but still enjoyable
This was by far the worst steak I ever had. I had the porterhouse, I took one bite and gave the rest to my dog. I will never come back again, was a complete waste of money. I still have some left over for my dog to each if you want a picture.
We had a great time. However, due to the renovations, and the restaurant being relocated, it was not the same as other visits. Gustavo was great!!
Although they are in a temporary location, they haven’t missed a beat! Food, ambience and service are still too notch!
Not a great experience. It started, with the realization, that this restaurant has been relocated from its beautiful location off the casino floor, too a meeting room, that has been remodeled for the purpose of being a restaurant. This really doesn't work. You know you're just sitting in a glorified meeting room, and not a restaurant. When we where he ended our menus, my girlfriend opened hers up, and a bug was crawling across tit. Not a great overall experience.
