Excellent Food and service. I rate this in the top 5 of fine steak houses. I defiantly recommend.
Top notch service and food. From start to finish everything was done very well. Out waiter was on point and very knowledgeable. This is a great place for a special occasion and has extremely high quality food options.
Food and service were excellent. I don't remember the server's name but he was good. Steak was cooked perfect.
quality meats..... steaks are superb! great service staff.
Everything was very good, definitely will return for more...
Music was a bit loud for a upscale restaurant. Food was good, but not worth the price.
Steak over cooked and chewy and over priced for what you actually get
Wonderful as it always is. Looking forward to the new setting.
I ordered the clams and linguine. Pasta was hard and chewy and tasted pasty.
When we visit the hard rock the only place we have dinner is Council Oak. The last several times it seems that the food has not been as good as it was in the past. We ordered a dirty martini but it was just straight vodka and did not taste like Belvedere I ordered a fillet mignon which cost me $40 and asked for it to be medium rare and it came out raw. Our waiter did not seem very engaging. Normally we had a great waitstaff but he seemed to be very much in a hurry. The chopped salad did not have many of the ingredients was missing corn onion cheese and tre nuts were different. I requested a wheelchair because of recent surgery in my waiter said he would check on it. I asked twice an update he did not have it. When we left I asked the hostess about getting a wheelchair she said she knew nothing about it she asked the other hostess who said I know nothing about it why don’t you ask your server. My bill was over 200 for the 2 of us so not sure if we will return Please share this information with Council Oak
The server was superb. My wife said it was the best steak she ever had …. and she is a steak connoisseur. The bread was excellent as was the seafood appetizer for 2. It was our wedding anniversary and was a perfect meal and evening.
Excellent food, service & ambiance! I highly recommend the Sunday Brunch! Well worth the cost!
food is great but too pricey, a long bone rib-eye started at $85 few years ago, then went to $95 and now is $110 too much, we can;t wait until the new restaurant is built at the new hotel section, since this one temporary lacks the excitement at the music section it had before
glorified converted ballroom. Had filet special, food took forever and then was overcooked. Best part of meal was the salads. Had bug in the wine, waiter brought another glass to pour it into, rather than a new glass of wine. Was undecided between Ruth Chris and Council, but figured we wanted to play in casino, so chose Council. Have eaten at original location 6 - 7 times, always enjoyable, this was very disappointing.
I go there regularly. Never disappoints. Service is above and beyond great and so is the service.
Excellent food quality and outstanding service by the entire waitstaff.
We enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving turkey dinner!
My husband being around the world twice and he said , the best baked potato ever! We will go back🥂🤗
Amazing food always get the Japanese wagyu steak and I can promise you it’s worth the price
Our dinner was excellent and the service impeccable. We started with the seafood tower for two, which I highly recommend and the steaks were cooked to perfection. They accommodated our low salt request which made our experience very enjoyable and satisfying .
The dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. I will definitely return.
Due to construction the restaurant was relocated. They did a good job of making it work but I like the other location. Food was fabulous as always though.
This was my first time dining at Council Oak. I had heard about how great the restaurant was. Our food was excellent as we had the raw bar sampler and a porterhouse steak. We really enjoyed it as well as the nice birthday dessert.
The only aspect of the dinner that was a little off was that we did not know that this was a temporary space for the restaurant as the new hotel is being built. The restaurant is in a ballroom that is divided up with large curtains. It reminded me of the Easter brunches at hotels that held them in their ballrooms. Our table was unusually large so it was comical in terms of how far we were from each other. My daughter was cracking up. The waiters had to give quite an effort to push their carts across the thick ballroom carpet.
Again the food was excellent and we will return when the new restaurant is ready.
Music and food and the service was good but too over priced
Wonderful! Had raw bar and dessert was amazing. Share dessert, large portions!
Great steaks and outstanding service!! Look forward to going back again!
In a converted ball room atmosphere was horrendous.service was excellent food was subpar. Used to be top notch
Waiter was very good. Onion soup and drinks great. Food quality was lacking.
The food was deliciou, everything was cooked perfect. Definitely will be back.
Very good food
They moved the location of the restaurant and it is really far now from the casino. My dad likes to go there because he can go to the casino and also have a nice dinner. The menu items also changed, we really liked the scallop and the Chilean Sea bass and both items are no longer on the menu. The Broiled Whole Branzino was not good at all. My dad did not feel great after that meal. The service was very good as usual and the atmosphere is still pretty nice.
We actually liked the location in the ballroom better than the original location. Food was excellent and the waiter was on point!
My wife and I are regular visitors to Council Oak over the years. However, this past visit was significantly underwhelming. I understand the hotel is under construction, however, there is a certain expectation when you are spending $500 on a meal for two people. They should have just closed until they were ready. The restaurant has been moved into a conference room on the other side of the hotel and the food was terrible. I ordered the $100 dollar Wagyu New York Strip and it was honestly the worst steak I have ever had, charred and inedible. I wish we had gone to another restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.
Very disappointing. VealChop was not cooked or good quality. Lobster Mac and Cheese was all salt. For amount of what you pay for these items- stay away. Horrible value.
The Hard Rock is undergoing a multi-year renovation and the Council Oak restaurant has been relocated to a convention hall. The ambiance is gone and they no longer have any outdoor seating. The food remains good. However, when dinner runs over $300 for two - there needs to be more than just quality food.
Also they seem to cater to the early diners. The room and bar close at 10 pm. Much too early.
Check this out after the Casino finishes construction in 2020
We’ve eaten there 6-8 times over the part 3-4 years on special occasions . Always good but this was exceptional. I believe they have a new head chef .
We had stone crabs and lamb chops . Perfect . Appetizers - crab and shrimp. Perfect .
The only thing not perfect (always perfect other times) was the onion rings. Oil not hot enough . A bit soggy . We ate them but we should have sent them back and reordered .
Server was excellent . Not the usual “very good choice sir” kind of crap . Personable but not intrusive . Dressed appropriately and not half naked . High class food and high class service .
$65 Ribeye was over-cooked. They had me cut into it to see the center and it splashed onto my shirt. The only reason I didn’t turn it back up was because it would be awkward for me to be sitting there while my colleague was eating his dinner. Service started out ok and then was nonexistent. They comped us a drink and dessert but honestly I would’ve rather had a great $65 steak. Also the creamed spinach was cold and the cheese on top wasn’t even melted. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re in their temporary space but it will take a lot for me to go back in there. I had eaten there before and never had anything like this.
Amazing place i will definitely go again
Impressive service and food was good, the seafood platter definitely a must, lobster bisque was a tad salty and not really a strong lobster flavor, but tenderloin with scallops and asparagus were as good as I've ever had. Drinks good and strong. We finished with a baked Alaska flambe tableside. Great night, would frequent again.
I know it's a temporary location but the food wasn't the same. Took a few things off the menu that we loved and unfortunately both our steaks were dry. The potato dish was not fully cooked. This was our first "ok" experience here. The waiter was fantastic along with all the staff members. We will wait till they are set up in their permanent location.
