Council Oak Steaks & Seafood – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa Ratings and Reviews
Great food and a wonderful waitress!! Will definitely came back. These waiters work hard! Please tip them. Treat people like you want to be treated. If you’re getting comped a $500.00 meal, at least get the waiter a $100.00 tip. Please send the kind and beautiful waitress a big thank you! Blessings!
I go here quite often. This was the worse piece of meat ever. For the price of this its ridiculous to have this happen. We always ask for the 20 ounce ribeye off the bone and sliced to share. Waitress put plate down and disappears. Over 1/2 of it was fat, was not cooked to my asking (which was medium) it was not even warm inside was still raw. By the time the waitress came back I was so disgusted we asked for a manager. He was kind enough to remove it from our bill and agreed totally why we complained.
Food and service was outstanding. The noise level is almost unbearable. We have dined there twice and both times it was extremely loud. We had to raise our voices so that we can talk to each other and be heard! Not a romantic environment. The restaurant needs to invest in noise reducing ceiling and wall coverings.
I knew it as soon as we walked in when I asked if they celebrate birthdays and the hotess was rude and snotty. She Expressed that they done give a free dessert for someones birthday... if thats what is was looking for. Wow I was caught with my plans for my family. Yes.. A free dessert. Likes that's what I'm looking for when I just checked in at the Hard Rock Hotel at $600 for one night and had reservations for council Oaks for the past three months. To celebrate my son's birthday. Back to the restaurant.. Our waiter Was Amazing and truly was an expert with his knowledge of his menu n food suggestions and with a warming personality. And we appreciated his dedication to his restaurant. Why we tipped him $50. Our bill was $300 for three people and two beers. The food however was over rated and extremely overpriced. And quite a long delay from appetizer to soup to our salad our main course we waited...over 30 mins. From start 8pm til nearly 11pm. When we finally received our main course 2 - 24oz porterhouse and the sides the mood had changed and 85% of this main course meal was put in a to go box. I had kinda lost my appetite from the get go. We to however got stuck in a tight both that became very hot and uncomfortable to stay seated. With three people over 200 lbs each or 6ft 4 it was very uncomfortable experience. Not my highlight and luckily I have had some fantastic fine dining experiences around the world in my years. and I would off preferred to have ate in the buffet upstairs. Our sons 21st bday not what I had expected or what I should paid for. When you pay that much for dinner .. It's my choice to eat where I choose and why complain. What are they going to give me a free B-Day cake for my son. Little petty.
Was very disappointed in the service, time it took to get our order, and some food was luke warm/cold. Even though it was Christmas Day, they should have been prepared for it. I had recently dined here a few other times with EXCELLENT service and quality, no waiting, etc.
I would still recommend, but speak up about the service and wait for food if it takes over an hour!
The cigarette smoke ruined a great meal. The restaurant is right off the smoking casino. The smell of smoke is in the restaurant. I was told the smell is throughout the restaurant. There is no escaping the smell. The food and drink were excellent but the cigarette smoke ruined the evening. As much as we loved the food, we will never return
Great food but awful service. Host and hostess failed to make eye contact when we arrived. Server and support were distracted and were difficult to find. They were unattentive and need lessons in customer service. The pricing and level of service were a complete mismatch. Have experienced much better previously.
We have dined at Council Oaks numerous times and have never been disappointed. Their craft cocktails e.g. Margarita are delicious. The stean=med mussels in a tlight tomatoe garlic broth were large and very tasty. The bone in rib eye was huge and plenty for the two of us to share. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall a wonderful dining exzperience that we will go back for again.
The food was delicious. My filet and my husbands New York strip were cooked perfectly. The Brussels sprouts were bathed in bacon and the lobster Mac n cheese is as good or better than I remembered it from the last time! All in all a good night. (It also helped I win a few hundred dollars playing a slot machine before dinner!)
First time for us at Council Oak the staff was so helpful when we added people to the reservation last minute and the Manager Tony Cancio was a wonderful host to our mom who was celebrating her 75th Birthday. We will be back to dine with you.
The server got the steaks mixed up for medium Rear & Medium.
so we sent the medium rear back & 10 minutes later it came back still Rear.
Both 8 Oz. Steaks on the small side both probably closer to 6 Oz,

This has been our fourth trip to this wonderful restaurant and it was outstanding, as usual. We were there for Thanksgiving dinner, late. I would strongly suggest reservations. The food and service was great. Don't frget to try their very good wine selections.
So disappointed in the food offering. It was Thanksgiving with s special offering of a Turkey dinner, ala Carte of course. 3 of us ordered the Turkey with selected sides. Our reservation was within 2 hours of restaurant opening. Our waitress, who was very nice, immediately came back to our table to tell us the white meat was gone but you could have dark meat if you liked that. I opted out and ordered A steak with different sides. My husband and our friend went with the dark meat. What was served to them was an abomination. It was the entire hind quarter of a bird, overdone, and uneatable. Our friend complained to one "manager" and he offered her a free dessert. She indicated my husband was also not satisfied but that was his offer. She then went to the Hostess station requesting a manger other than the one who had just left our table. She was introduced to one immediately and he took meals off bill and gave them free dessert. Be mindful they were never offered the option to select another meal. Therefore they never did have dinner. Shame on Council Oak.
