Cotton Ratings and Reviews
The service was exceptional The food was fantasric We had people from out of state who loved the atmosphere and the food The lunch was the perfect way to clinch the deal
we appreciated our server she was extrwmely patient and friendly Always polite and attentive yet never interfereing
thank you we will be back
This was my first time dining at Cotton. I thought the service we received was outstanding. I had the jambalaya, which I thought was very tasty with lots of shrimp and sausage. My wife had the steak Diane, which she thought was excellent. My son's girlfriend had the house flat iron steak, which she enjoyed, however the squash dish, not so much. My son had some issues with his lobster & scallop ravioli, but thought it was good. This restaurant is not large and when it got busy the noise level increased as would be expected, but not objectionably so. I thought the restaurant decor was well done and the seating very comfortable. Cotton has what I would term, a high-end bar configured at the upper level of the restaurant. While I didn't spend a great deal of time there, the bartenders I watched knew what they were doing, seemed very personable and had firm control of the customers seated at the bar as well as making sure the wait staff got their drink orders filled quickly. For my first visit to Cotton I give it 4 stars. I will certainly return to this restaurant in the future and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable restaurant with great service and tasty entrees in the Manchester, NH region.
Menu was a bit pricy for some lower cost cuts of steak, Value would help you enjoy a flat iron steak when it's not priced as ribeye/filet.
Had to send a rare side of rare cut back for medium rare request.
Scallops were great, lobster ravioli needs better work on the saffron sauce, the spice wasn't used to its potential here.
Really enjoyed the greens salad, super fresh and satisfying.
Drinks were strong.
Again, if they were to increase their value by either improving the cuts or reducing their prices on their current offerings.. pretty much all their options were the same
Cut with a confusing choice of different sauces. But damn.. the scallops and service really did a lot to help us enjoy it.
Great place. Well trained staff and well prepared and very tasty food. Went there mid-week for business dinner - noise level was low so we could actually hold a conversation. Welcoming and warm staff and prompt service, without interrupting. We will be back.
We drove 1 1/2 hrs to get to Cotton, and it didn’t disappoint at all-in fact it exceeded our expectations. We heard good things about it and they were well-earned, to be sure. While there was lively conversation around us, we were still able to hear each other with no trouble. Our server, Karen, was great-attentive, but not intrusive, and relaxed about us sitting there for a while. The food was outstanding: tasty and hot. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great evening!
Pleasant upscale spot with open space feel and warm surroundings. Mixed salad with tasty bacon pieces and generous cheddar chunk add-on was well executed tasty starter. Lobster ravioli entree was mildly disappointing though and apparently I was the last customer for the evening for waitress with bar area booths section who wanted to close out early - who not so subtly ushered me out 30 minutes into mean. I will give them another shot though.
My wife and I enjoyed our recent dining experience at Cotton with four good close friends. Our martinis were perfect and we shared some very tasty appetizers -- popcorn shrimp and calamari. I had the retro meatloaf and my wife had the jumbo sea scallops, while our friends enjoyed the bistro steak, Delmonico steak Diane and crusted salmon entrees. We were all very satisfied with the portions, and all of them were delicious. Chris, our server, was fabulous and very attentive to our needs. We were all too full to have dessert, but we had a great time and we will return to Cotton for lunch or dinner very soon.
We visited Cotton to celebrate our wedding Anniversary. It was an uncharacteristically warm October night so we opted to sit outside on the patio. Our server was excellent and as it was our anniversary, we were treated to complimentary Prosecco. Very nice touch! The atmosphere on the patio was quiet and just right for a romantic meal. The food was fantastic! The servings were large. We brought home leftovers that were enjoyed the following day.
We will definitely keep it in mind for future dinners.
I hadn't been to Cotton in about 6 years and it was just as good this time around. Enjoyed a super dinner, drink and conversation with friends from northern NH. Waiter was very attentive, courteous and explained our meal questions throughly. Loved the House Manhattan!!
Cotton was one of two places we researched as part of a trip through New Hampshire. We chose it because other reviews were very positive. Our experience was equally positive. We were seated immediately upon arrival. We had reservations through Open Table. The waitress was attentive throughout the meal, yet not overbearing. The food we chose was from the Specials. The Lobster/shrimp ravioli was excellent. A light broth rather than a heavy sauce. Very tasty. The Pork Chop was done perfectly. It was moist and tender. Drinks were portioned nicely. Atmosphere was cozy. Two tops are side by side, but the noise level was not prohibitive.
