Cotton Row Restaurant
A vision for comfort, elegance and modern American cuisine is how the story of Cotton Row Restaurant began. We are inspired by the enduring passion of the cotton traders who once worked in downtown Huntsville, and invite you to experience our southern hospitality.

200$ tab, waited 24 mins for drinks. Food was subpar. Service was awful. We had to speak up to have a conversation. Not at all what it used to be. The bar was full of a bunch of loud drunks.
Excellent date night! The cocktails are incredible, and the entrees are perfect. It's expensive, but worth it for a special occasion, or just because :)
The dining room was fairly empty and quiet which made for an enjoyable evening. However the food took over 40 minutes to come out to the table when we ordered.
Absolutely a wonderful experience!!! We cant wait to go back
It's perfect for any occasion or no occasion! Delicious food! Great staff! Perfect location!
The food and staff were great. The staff went the extra mile to ensure my wife had a great birthday experience! Will definitely be back!
The chowder was a little bland. The rest of the experience, including the dirty martinis and Chilean wine, was just what we were looking for. Excellent scallops.
The food was perfect and well seasoned and cooked to perfection! Great wine selection and cocktails and the service is on point! We went there for our 3 year wedding anniversary and everything was perfect to us! Can’t say anything but praises for this restaurant, we will definitely be back.
We ate outside, it was very pleasant. Not crowded at all, was early on a Tuesday evening. The foie gras was amazing! Short ribs were excellent, fish was mediocre. Heirloom tomato salad with buratta cheese was delicious.
Terrific restaurant in downtown Huntsville! Try it, you'll like it. Thanks, AJ.
The atmosphere is quaint, but the food lacked flair and flavor. I expected a little more innovative take on the standard fare.
Foie Gras was fabulous!
Everything was very good and our waiter was Great!
Lovely place to eat in downtown Huntsville. Took visitors from out of town and they loved it!
Cotton Row is great. The food is as good as you will find anywhere. I found it to be an excellent value. Can't wait to return on my next visit to Huntsville.
It was our 20th anniversary. The food was great and the service, as always, wonderful. Cotton Row is our favorite restaurant. Great ambiance, great food, and great service make it a special place. Well done.
Dinner with my love was wonderful. The chef granted a request for fried green tomatoes (not on menu) and they were delicious. We shared braised short ribs and salmon both absolutely delicious. Dinner concluded with a rich cheesecake with very fresh strawberries. Dinner set the tone for what turned out to be an amazing date night.
Tables nicely spaced, waiters wearing masks. Felt safe. Food and service were excellent!
We are regular patrons of Cotton Row as well as the comparable establishments in Huntsville. This was our first trip back after the COVID shutdown and it was not the typical experience we have come to expect.
A few highlights of why we came away wondering if we will return:
Outdoor dining furniture was saturated with rain water even under the awning. Damage was done as soon as we sat with my pants and shirt being soaked
Music was way too load and several of us had to ask for it to be turned down
Bread is now a menu item... At these prices, some complimentary bread is expected.
My steak (most expensive menu item) came out VERY overdone. It was fixed, but my wife ate without me and then I had to rush through my meal
Even when my steak was fixed, the sides were not as described on the menu
Wine came out well after our entrees
Have eaten recently at similarly priced venues and our experience was much better
Desert was advertised as one thing and came out as another
It was a wonderful but pricey dining experience. Cotton Row was not our first choice for a diner out but it turned out to be a lovely event. The servers were especially careful, wearing masks ans keeping a distance unless necessary. We appreciated that as well as the good food.
Absolutely great and we will be back again!
Outstanding as always, Thank you so much!!! Great food and Customer Service.
First time dining here, we wanted to check it out for our anniversary. Despite the pandemic, they were able to keep seating arrangements distanced from other patrons and all staff had masks. Felt very safe dining here and the food and drinks were outstanding. We both were surprised at how reasonable the tab was at the end of the night as well.
We celebrated a special occasion and all the choices we made were outstanding. We were very pleased! I'm still craving the fried oyster appetizer :-)
Overall rating 1 star. I've been to the finest restaurants around the world. Waiters need training, patrons need to understand a dress code, and food, lay off the salt.
Excellent place for a special dinner for both of our Birthday's. Really enjoy the current seating required by COVID spaceing. Previously, some of the tables were just too close together. All of the food and drinks were excellent, and we look forward to returning for another meal.
Excellent service and food, can’t wait to return to experience such dining again!
Love the grilled romaine hearts with balsamic vinegar dressing appetizer. I also had the filet with crispy potatoes which was excellent. One of my go to spots, love this place. Service was a little slower after COVID. Don’t let that stop you though.
Service was poor and slow. The waiter failed to mention the special of the day and instead introduced himself as “any drinks.” Seemed more concerned with tables around us with “older” adults. Food was delicious, but dessert portion was pretty small for $9. For what you pay, the service was a little disheartening
Great food as always. A favorite place any time I’m in Huntsville.
The food was prepared immaculately. The oysters on the half shell were the best I’ve ever had, the halibut was exquisite, and scallop dish phenomenal. Service was top notch. Would definitely recommend.
We have been to cotton row a number of times and this visit was not the same. The first thing we were not happy about was cherging us $5 for bread. Thats ridiculous! Everything was super rushed and nobody cleaned dorty diahes off. Our martinis were half full. We brought friends who had never been and we felt bad bc it was not the typical experience. The food was still good but we were unhappy about our experience!
A wonderful a good restaurant. The creme brulee was very much like a soft custard, with a burnt brûlée hidden in powdered sugar. However, fried okra, and the duck was exceptional. service was great and very accommodating. Overall I recommend this restaurant and we will be attending again.
After waiting for a table (20 minutes past our 7:00 reservation time), we were pleasantly surprised to be seated on the balcony above the restaurant. It was perfect. My husband and I were able to sit far enough away from everyone else so we could enjoy each other's company. The weather was perfect. The food was perfect. The drinks were perfect. It was the best experience for our 10th wedding anniversary date night. Thank you, Cotton Row, for the best experience at your restaurant so far. I just hope we can use that balcony again in the future.
First time back since this stupid virus hit thank you for opening. I like the space between the tables you no longer feel like everyone is listening to what you are taking about. Food as always was excellent. Service was par but we will give you a pass just reopening so training and getting back into that grove will come in time. What was wrong with the service we had to ask for small plates for our starter I had to ask for a steak knife and multiple time we asked different waiters because ours was not around. We will be back for sure. Again thank you for opening.
Jalapeño poppers were burnt to a crisp which set a bad tone as an appetizer for the rest of the meal. I was surprised the chef or waiter would allow that to go to the table.
wonderful restaurant my favorite in Huntsville and in Alabama
Beautiful setting. Waitstaff was very attentive. Cocktails were decent. Limited menu and they were out of many things so that was disappointing but I will go back when they are at full capacity with the full menu.
Post corona disaster at supposedly the “best” resstraunt in Huntsville. However it has been going downhill for a few years. Food quality continues to diminish and service gets worse.
