Cotto Enoteca Pizzeria showcases modern Italian cuisine, specializing in authentic VPN certified Neapolitan pizza and comforting Italian dishes. The focal point of the restaurant is undoubtedly the wood fired brick forno. The menu is steeped in Italian tradition, though updated with West Coast sensibility and is presented in an approachable and informal setting. Cotto's simple, yet elegant cuisine features the natural beauty of local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients in an appropriate and sumptuous manner.

The wine program features a considerable "by the glass" offering including an eclectic list of specialty wines focused solely on BC and Italian wineries. The cocktail list spotlights our interpretations of classic Italian inspired libations, while the beer menu includes a few classic Italian selections along with an exciting and highly specific craft beer offering.

Parking at Cotto Enoteca is plentiful. We have a small lot at the entrance of the restaurant as well as a large lot adjacent to the building. There is also considerable street parking surrounding the perimeter of the building.

It was great. The only thing they still don’t have their liquor license back. When we were there in the summer it was supposed to be a month tops. Now it is 6 months later. It is not a deal breaker just nice if you want a glass of something.

The preparation of some menu items have changed from previous visits and not for the better in my opinion. Cheddar cheese on spinach canneloni! The penne polo was fantastic however. Still a great place to dine.

The service was good and the food was great. Not sure why their liquor license is currently suspended. Ambience was good. Not too loud, not too quiet. This place is good for a special meal or just dinner with family.

Always love coming to Cotto. The food is always consistently great. My favorite is the Burrata (first recommended to me by the lovely servers a few years back), followed by the Tagliatelle Carbonara (delicious, with ample ingredients covered with savory sauce).

It’s too bad that they are currently operating without a liqour license (bartender told me they are in process of getting it back).

Definitely will come back to collect more reward points through their mobile app.

no alcohol license... not sure what happened to the old one. Pizza was a little soggy but tasted fine. Pasta was underwhelming. Service was good. I may go back if I’m in the neighborhood but doubt I’ll make a special trip out there again.

The restaurant is enduring a very long spell without a liquor license, so I'm willing to give it some slack while it soldiers through this hardship. For some reason on the night we were there the room was close to refridgerator-cold. I looked around and all the customers had their winter jackets on (I followed suit).

As always, the calamari is a stand-out.

The menu has, however, been tweaked, and clearly without the benefit of the chef who created the original core menu (who has been long gone). The salmon pizza, for instance, is now a mess. It is a salmon-shrimp hybrid now, both of which come cold ontop of the bland-tasting pizza. The slow-cooked egg on top, which used to be the highlight, has now evolved to an under-cooked fast-cooked poached egg. So, with the already borderline soggy centre of the crust, the under-cooked egg makes the pizza pretty unappetizing. The original flavours were delicious, but now there's a lemon & dill creme fraiche drizzled on top, making things even muckier. Sorry to see what used to be a masterpiece devolve into a disaster.

Great service and food. Everything was fresh and could tell handmade not some can sauce used or frozen ingredients. The servers were happy and very attentive but not to the point of being annoying. Definite recommendation restaurants to my friends.

We come here all the time. It’s too bad that the city of burnaby yanked their liquor license on a technicality but I hear they are getting g it back soon.

I have been here many times but was very surprised that we couldn't enjoy a glass of wine with lunch, we were celebrating our birthdays and so were disappointed. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. The ceasar salad could have used a touch more dressing, the pizza was perfect, as usual!

Being temporarily unable to serve alcohol was a disappointment, but at least they called to tell me ahead of time. Italian food without wine is less than ideal. They've changed their menu and two of the pizzas we live best are no longer available. The pizza I had instead wasn't as good. So that was disappointing too. Overall, not our best experience at this normally great restaurant.

Super salads, both the Cotto salad & Beet salad. Service friendly, ingredients tasted fresh - absolutely loved the crispy pancetta on the Cotto salad.

Great little restaurant - had never been before. The pizza was great - very nice patio - the only thing is sometimes the traffic noise from Hastings was loud. Overall not a big deal though as the rest of the experience and ambiance is great there.
