Hats off to the chef for fine classic French dishes and creative international choices. We appreciated the limited dinner menu with select choices plus some specials. Lovely atmosphere conducive to chatting and enjoying those you're with. Located on a quiet commercial street in Miami Shores, it is a hidden gem in the neighborhood with easy and free parking, but is a somewhat pricey. Friendly wait staff, eager to please but not disturbing. Good lunch menu including fabulous crepes and very relaxed.
Very hungry tourist on the prowl away from the hubbub. As a diehard francophile, I took a calculated risk ... and was well rewarded.
I arrived way too early for the opening and was perfectly happy to wait, but a lovely, happy person (the beautiful chef/owner) welcomed me with warmth and complete ease. I knew I had chosen well.
The menu offered all sorts of delicious brunch options, and I decided to have a little bfast snack and then lunch--pain au chocolate with a divine cappuccino followed by a salade nicoise with fresh tuna. So so good! Perfect portion, beautifully prepared. Not silly or excessive.
Kind, personable service. French music, too!
Un lieu de rencontre chic et sans effort... tous les jours.
Hidden gem. FOOD WAS great
Loved ,extraordinary 5 stars
Appetizers : Lentil Soup, vegan soup, which happened to be Carrot Soup & Potato Flan - Great
Entrees: Catch of the Day, which was Swordfish, Skirt Steak and the lamb chops - Great
Desserts : Chocolate Cake & Creme Brulee. The cake was good, but the Creme Brulee had the consistency of a pudding and the Baily's Cream infusion made it taste like a pudding.
The have a nice selection of wines, we had a Nero D'Avola that was wonderful
Great food. Will visit again.
Found this gem and I’m happy!! This is an amazing place where to have some real French cuisine. Food takes a while but it’s worth it since everything is super fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly and it looks like a real French bistro. Will go again for sure !! Thank you
I truly enjoyed my visit to Coté Gourmet. The food was great and the service excellent. I will definitely return again 👍🏻☺️
Food great! Service was slow
Rare if not impossible to find Great food, awesome service and exceptional hospitality all together in a Miami restaurant, Cote Gourmet has it all.
One of the best restaurant in Miami, a must go and also entered my recurrent place to dine in.
Excellent little restaurant, small and cozy. The food was great as well as the service. I had read some reviews complaining about the service, in particular having to wait for the food. I found no basis, is a small place (including the kitchen) and while some of the dishes can be prepared ahead of time, other have to be cooked to order. For starters Escargots main courses the Trout for dessert we shared the Tart Tatin. They have a nice wine selection or you can bring your own for a nominal corkage fee. The idea of going out to dine is also to enjoy the company.
The mall took almost two hours
There was confusion between owner /waiter and chef in kitchen.
The crepes were average.
The piece was offensive considering we waited for over an hour for a miniscule "meal". The owner came over to apologise and offered to make us crepes.
Neglected to tell us we'd be charged for every strawberry.
The ice cream was stale.
They could not figure out how to refund the incorrect charge so they just crossed off the gratuity.
Ruined a lovely afternoon.
This was a very pleasant and fortuitous surprise since we have never eaten there before but needed to find a restaurant haf way between Miami and Ft Lauderdale so we could meet with friends. The menu was limited, but what it had fave us plenty of choices and the chef even prepared non-menu items. Both the menu items and the special made were excellent. Good selection of wines, quiet but small. Despite a 45 minute ride, we will be back!
Everything was spectacular from start to finish. The food, the service, and the ambience were all flawless. We had the chicken roulade, escargot, beef bourguignon, and a salmon with lime and ginger, with mango tart and profiteroles for dessert. All utterly delicious. Try it - you’ll love it.
What a hidden gem! The food was amazing; you could tell it was prepared with skill and a pinch of love! It’s a quaint, lovely restaurant with a friendly staff. The Chef is magnificent and actually comes out to greet you!
Very nice cozy restaurant. With Chef coming to tables asking about food quality, nice touch...
Love Cote. The chef is amazing and so friendly.
A delightful and delicious french restaurant with a great chef,
This restaurant is a little bit of Europe in Miami. owners are French/Sengalese and Italian. Food is very French, but happily, on the light side. No heavy creams or sauces. You start with an amuse bouche, which was a wonderful little tart, and good bread and better. The carrot soup is delicious; just vegetable and not sweet. My husband had the salmon and I had the lamp chops, both very good. Lamp chops were really good quality with no fat. Excellent wines. Excellent profiteroles for dessert. Highly attentive and warm personalized service. One of the rare places in Miami for a quiet meal with good low key music. My only complaint is the lighting; too dark and yellowish bulbs; needs just a little brightening. Looking forward to returning.
We love this place!
We had a 3-hour dinner with my French friend. The whole experience was lovely. The place is very elegant and classy, the dishes were the best I ever had. My favorite was the duck. The wine-pinot noir was high quality. Parking is easy. I really recommend and I am planning to be back soon.
Being a trendy city, there's no shortage of restaurants that over promise and under deliver. If you're looking for blaring techno music, waiters with blue hair and neck tattoos and an atmosphere that gives the impression that the food was an afterthought, than stick to Wynwood. On the other hand, if you're looking for a place to enjoy a good meal and conversation with great food, wonderfully attentive service and no one rushing you to seat another table than make a reservation at Cote' Gourmet. Thank you for wonderful evening, my wife and I will be back.
Best wine list (nothing for more than $90.00) I have seen in Miami. Great food but even better was the European-style service. A real joy to eat at this place. I cannot recommend it enough.
I can't emphasize enough the quality of food, the ingenuity, the different flavors Amina (the Chef) combines and put in each plate is superb. Always taking care of the customers with Roberto and his team. It is one of the best places to have a lovely lunch or dinner with friends, family or you significant other!!! I highly recommend Cote Gourmet!
The best service in town. Excellent food in a homey French setting. Highly recommend.
This was my second visit to Cote Gourmet and both dining experiences were outstanding. It is a charming restaurant with a welcoming and warm ambiance. Amazing customer service from everyone in the staff. Every dish I have tried from the Chef is incredible; truly perfect. The warm goat cheese salad and foie gras were both delicious. The magret de canard (duck breast) was magnificent and the daily pasta special (ravioli with mushroom sauce) was to die for. We tried the crepe Suzette and it was also (you guessed it) amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.
Third time dining here. Food is acceptable but service very slow. Miami Shores really needs a great restaurant that the residents want to go back time after time. Unfortunately this is not.
