Love Cote. The chef is amazing and so friendly.
A delightful and delicious french restaurant with a great chef,
This restaurant is a little bit of Europe in Miami. owners are French/Sengalese and Italian. Food is very French, but happily, on the light side. No heavy creams or sauces. You start with an amuse bouche, which was a wonderful little tart, and good bread and better. The carrot soup is delicious; just vegetable and not sweet. My husband had the salmon and I had the lamp chops, both very good. Lamp chops were really good quality with no fat. Excellent wines. Excellent profiteroles for dessert. Highly attentive and warm personalized service. One of the rare places in Miami for a quiet meal with good low key music. My only complaint is the lighting; too dark and yellowish bulbs; needs just a little brightening. Looking forward to returning.
We love this place!
We had a 3-hour dinner with my French friend. The whole experience was lovely. The place is very elegant and classy, the dishes were the best I ever had. My favorite was the duck. The wine-pinot noir was high quality. Parking is easy. I really recommend and I am planning to be back soon.
Being a trendy city, there's no shortage of restaurants that over promise and under deliver. If you're looking for blaring techno music, waiters with blue hair and neck tattoos and an atmosphere that gives the impression that the food was an afterthought, than stick to Wynwood. On the other hand, if you're looking for a place to enjoy a good meal and conversation with great food, wonderfully attentive service and no one rushing you to seat another table than make a reservation at Cote' Gourmet. Thank you for wonderful evening, my wife and I will be back.
Best wine list (nothing for more than $90.00) I have seen in Miami. Great food but even better was the European-style service. A real joy to eat at this place. I cannot recommend it enough.
I can't emphasize enough the quality of food, the ingenuity, the different flavors Amina (the Chef) combines and put in each plate is superb. Always taking care of the customers with Roberto and his team. It is one of the best places to have a lovely lunch or dinner with friends, family or you significant other!!! I highly recommend Cote Gourmet!
The best service in town. Excellent food in a homey French setting. Highly recommend.
This was my second visit to Cote Gourmet and both dining experiences were outstanding. It is a charming restaurant with a welcoming and warm ambiance. Amazing customer service from everyone in the staff. Every dish I have tried from the Chef is incredible; truly perfect. The warm goat cheese salad and foie gras were both delicious. The magret de canard (duck breast) was magnificent and the daily pasta special (ravioli with mushroom sauce) was to die for. We tried the crepe Suzette and it was also (you guessed it) amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.
Third time dining here. Food is acceptable but service very slow. Miami Shores really needs a great restaurant that the residents want to go back time after time. Unfortunately this is not.
The menu selection was excellent. It also included some very interesting and tasty specials. Really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Will be back to try the brunch.
Not quite up to French standards. Ordered the daily special, Coq au Vin on a Saturday. Got at most the meat equivalent to a chicken wing, the rest were bones and what seems like left overs. Also order the lamb chops, which were hard and chewy. Also very small portions, even for French standard. No vegetables in any of our mains, not in one. Trout amending, without haricot vert. Overall subpar quality food.
This restaurant is a little jewel. I hate to recommend it lest it loose its current charm, but the efforts of the owners, chef and staff need to be acknowledged. It is rare to find a boutique restaurant emphasizing French cuisine these days. The menu is predominantly French with some Italian influences and--delightfully--with an African flair. Recently, I had a Senegalese stew, which was novel for me and delicious. The wine list is great. The staff creates a warm and intimate atmosphere and is very attentive. There is convenient parking behind the building.
Wonderful food that is presented perfectly. The service is impeccable.
We celebrated our daughters graduation dinner at the exquisite Cote Gourmet. The decor is reminiscent of eclectic French country and the atmosphere is warm and elegant. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The foods was excellent with decent portions and it was easy to find a park in front, but there's additional parking in the rear. I highly recommend you visit this hidden treasure.
Love the service, always so friendly and amazing food.
Best French food and ambience in Miami. It really is a hidden gem.
We arrived for brunch, there was only one other table occupied and we spoke with the entire staff that kept passing us by if we could be served. Our order was taken several times by each staff member and yet nothing arrived, not even our complimentary cocktail. On top of that the manager asked us to move tables because they had accidentally reserved the same table for two separate parties, the other not even present.Thirty to forty minutes later we stood up and left.
A local gem The staff and owner are personable and the dining room is very cozy. All the food was great!
It’s a lovely little restaurant, they don’t rush you, and the food is delicious!
A lovely small intimate traditional French restaurant in quiet Miami Shores. Nice clientele with all speaking softly for a change. The food was very good traditional French cooking - you'll find all those dishes you always liked and well prepared. The specials were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant for a relaxing dining experience. Freshly remodeled too. Comfortable seats!!
The food was excellent. The service was a little bit slow, but the staff compensated with a very nice courteous demeanor. Overall great food, OK ambiance and great service
Great place!!! Service was awesome. Very welcoming vibe and food was delicious.
The food was excellent and the prices were lower than I expected for a French Restaurant. The place is smallish about 15 tables and it was full, so reservations are a must. It takes awhile to be served but that is normal in French Restaurants. The plus to that is that you get to drink a lot of wine, and talk, and eat dessert etc. It is not to go in and out quickly. I had the onion soup and lamb, my date a salad and salmon tartare, everything was excellent. Then we shared a great tiramisu and coffee.
The brunch was really good food and service experience 5 stars....thanks
Took 2 hours to get our entrees....
We arrived at 7:00 and waited 1 hour for our salad, and then 20 minutes for our entree. We asked repeatedly for water, bread, and wine, and they were not brought to the table until 25 minutes in the restaurant. The service was missing in action. The maitre'd said, "we are very busy". I said, "we waited for 1 hour for our salad. My wife had asked for a medium rare steak, and it was rare. No one came back and responded to the steak needing more oven time. I thought that the service was disgraceful, and the maitre'd inappropriate in his response. We had friends that evening at another table, and they also said they gave up waiting.
Loved everything. So cozy and quaint. Great bread, service, fresh fish, absolutely loved it!
a drunk woman destroyed the environment and the owner didn’t do nothing
Wonderful experience, personable....excellent food.
This was our first time here. So excited to have found a great neighborhood restaurant . The service and food was excellent can’t wait to go back with friends.
Excellent place; the new owners have really brought a new light to the place, the many items are excellent. Portions are appropriate and being in the heart of Miami Shores makes it for a great meeting place.
We were there for a birthday celebration and even the Cheft Mina came to sing happy birthday by the table; they truly made us feel like family, and my Mom loved the pear tart given to her for her birthday.
This is a gem in the Miami Shore area. The experinece I had with my fiancée was excellent. The food was
very tasy with an outstanding presentation (to start, we shared foie gras and then my finacée had duck confit and I had pork chop). For dessert we ordered profiteroles. Although the filling was superb, the choux pastry was little bit dry and hard. The service was excelllent. Mateo (the owner) made us fell like we were at his home. He helped us to select the right wine for the food we had choosen. I higly recommend this restaurant!!
Discreet elegance; excellent attention by staff, great food. We were four people and we all had excellent food. The appetizers were delicious: roasted shrimp soup, onion soup, foie gras. The main courses were really good, especially the brochettes of filet mignon and the duck leg with porto sauce. The deserts were outstanding. The place has an intimate atmosphere, which is very special in Miami, where restaurants tend to be very noisy. The chef and the staff are very attentive, making sure that you are satisfied. Prices are competitive with restaurants of similar quality. Dinner for four, with two bottles of wine was about $100 per person. Well worth it, as we came out very happy.
We had a wonderful evening out at Cote Gourmet! The food was exceptional--from soup to main course and dessert. Presentation was creative and beautiful. We did not know what a gem we had in our own backyard as this was our first dining experience at Cote Gourmet. The service was impeccable and the staff were warm, friendly, and solicitous. To top it all the prices were more than reasonable. We will be back! Highly recommend.
We loved this restaurant! Excellent staff and food :)
Fantastic! Great Amina creative chef. We loved this french-Italian restaurant. Very Raccomended!
I booked the place online. It was my first time there, but it won't be the last. Everything was VERY GOOD: the food, service, the set-up of the tables (properly done with table clothes). I travel quite a bit all over, and I can strongly recommend Cote Gourmet to everyone, for any occasion.
It was a business dinner, and my guests were very impressed.
See you soon,
Great atmosphere, food, service, and drinks! I had an overall wonderful experience!
