loved our waiter she was fun and informed about the menu-- the food was ok but not something i would travel across town for -- it was plentiful and good but not outstanding -- there were families and groups which was nice to see -- they were out of crabs so maybe i'll go back for that -- the crab cake was ok not fab -- guest thought the crab soup could use more crabs -- my oyster soup was the best part of the meal
The poor service was unusual for this place. We will give them another try
Crab cakes were amazing
Server and staff was amazing was my moms 83 birthday they made i memerable
I waited over 15 minutes for my entree after the rest of the table had been served. I was comp'd dessert and another round of drinks for the table but the food was terrible.
The cream of crab soup was very salty and the crab cake was small
Jan 4th we had fantastic steamed crabs. Finished the meal with sundaes. Amanda, our server, was attentive but not intrusive. Great place to find a great meal at the end of the week.
It was my visit to Costas Inn. The crab cake sandwich was fantastic! I can't wait to go back for the crabs!
Came for New Years Eve. Great service Karen was on point. 3 tables and 4 at bar was in a group. Had to leave to go to another bar. Band was way too loud it literally hurt our ears. Screaming to the next person was not fun. Had they not been there, we would have stayed all night.
Came for crabs to only find out they were out for several days. Ended up getting crab cakes that were too breaded and did not have enough jumbo lump.
Only go to Costas for steamed crabs. Everything else is mediocre
Excellent food and service!
The floors in the dining room were a mess. Carpeting in the main dining room is unsanitary. We met friends there - all four of us have never been here. I would like to try the crabs some time before passing any judgment on the food quality. The steak was boring and the crab cake was ok, our friend did not like the crab cake.
As always the food was fantastic! The pit beef, turkey and sausage were fabulous. The crabs were so good we ordered an additional 1/2 dozen.
Wonderful wait staff and food!
I came to Costas with my sister for my birthday and I wanted steamed crabs. I asked the waiter what he would recommend since I was only looking for a 1/2 dozen. I ordered a 1/2 dozen of the large at $80/dozen, per his recommendation. I was very happy with my order. The crabs were very yummy and a decent size! I also ordered the MD. crab soup which was good; nice chunks of crab meat in the soup. My only recommendation is to have the soup served a little hotter. I could have asked to have it warmed up a bit, but chose not to do so.
Costas is always a great place to come and get a great meal and/or crabs to eat. You will never go wrong, as far as I am concerned.
My sister ordered a crab cake sandwich with fries. She usually does not eat the entire order, no matter what she orders or the restaurant where she is; she usually takes part of her order home with her. She ate her whole order that night. So the night was yumminess all the way around!
Our server, I am sorry, I do not remember his name; he was awesome; very personable and friendly; cute personality.
Great food, great and friendly service. Very nice setting.
Hadn't been to Costa's since the late 1970's but other than having expanded, it really hasn't changed. They have very good seafood & cold beer. A great place to get steamed crabs & crab cakes. Friendly folks & great service. This place hops!
The food was great!!! Service was outstanding! we had a great time
Good food and service!!! The live band was a pleasant surprise too!!!!
Fabulous staff and food. Was everything and more than what we were recommended. The Maryland Blue Crabs were fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants them.
Great to bring my kids for their first time smashing crabs
My nephew, who is a captain in the Air Force, had gotten home from his tour of Korea. We wanted to treat him to some crabs before he heads to England for his next tour.
The crab cake was the bomb truly lump crab meat. And the blue crabs OMG THEY WERE ALSO GOOD AND FRESH.
Wonderful first visit to Costas Inn! We we're celebrating my Mom's birthday - the service was excellent and the food was delicious! French onion soup, Maryland and cream of crab soup were great! Crab cakes, fried oysters, steamed shrimp and seafood platter were all wonderful. Our server Holly was on top of everything and made our visit even better. We will definitely be back!
Selected Costas Inn after watching FoodTV show with Josh Charles (local boy made good), schooling Iron Chef Michael Symon on Baltimore's best. CI didn't disappoint.
Top 3 for Baltimore's Best in crab cakes for me. (And G&M is NOT one--why are they so popular?) All jumbo lump and light on the Old Bay so the delicate crab flavor is prominent. Crisp fries and not too sweet Cole slaw. Dining companion had the soft shell crab sandwich. She deemed it very good, and I have to say I haven't seen one that large in quite some time. Third companion had a pasta dish. I believe it was the shrimp and scallops with alfredo sauce. She didn't rave but ate it all and said it was good.
I would certainly visit again.
Everyone agreed that the crabs were the best they had ever had! And that's saying something since we go to Costas often. Not only that but The Peach Melba is the fabulous! Go, go, go to Costas.... you will not be sorry!
French fries were cold and not as yummy as we remembered.
The steamed crabs and cream of crab soup can't be beat.
My girlfriend, her family, and I ate here after her graduation. Staff was incredible, food was great- best crabcake I've ever had! The owner even came around and greeted us. We're taking three dozen crabs back with us to Atlanta and the staff was super helpful to arrange pickup and how to properly store & cook. Will definitely be back!
Was a very nice experience the staff were friendly and the food was good, prices reasonable .
Would recommend Costa's as a good seafood restaurant to anyone travelling to Baltimore. The location is shown as Baltimore but actually it is in DUNDALK, at section of Baltimore.
Great evening. Staff was as friendly as usual and the crabs were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!
We went because the guests of honor wanted to go to this location as they had heard about it on a TV show. The food was fine. The service was nice. The atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Very low key, no frills kind of place. It's not some place I would want to go back to, but at least we tried it.
Incredible service. Server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The crab cakes were amazing. As were the vegetables and cole slaw. We will definitely be back with friends!
I was little disappointed. I think you just got steamed crabs your in the right place. Dinners were just ok. The wedge salad wasn’t really a wedge but sliced iceberg , which was on the
white side. Broiled Crab cakes were hot, the sides not so much. Mashed potatoes and veggies would have been better if they were hot. The other meal was a steak and cake. French fries were stone cold. Cole slaw was a little old. Service was slow. But he tried, maybe new. Others had hot rolls. We were offered none. Didn’t stay for dessert. My first and last visit.
We ordered the large crabs and they were packed with meat! We were so full after soups and crabs all around that we couldn't order dessert! will be back!
Excellent... friendly and family setting
The chesapeake salmon was excellent. Service extremely helpful, always checked if we needed anything.
Great meat lover’s pizza was our shared appetizer which was delicious and could be our next meal next visit. Then we tried the rib special. We are glad we shared as it was a huge portion. The sauce was sweet but with a kick, we wanted more! Costa’s never disappoints.
First timers. Portions were smaller than I expected but the food was tasty.
The food and service were fantastic. The owner came over and said hello. We can't wait to go back! The crabcakes are too die for- don't miss them!
