Costantino's Venda Bar & Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Taken care of quickly and promptly. Table was on am aisle and with the traffic flow should be changed(not a premium seat within the restaurant).
Waiter was attentive and around when I needed to send a drink back(too strong) and quick when I needed to leave in a timely fashion.
We went for New Years Eve and it was amazing. The food and service was great. So I would definitely tell people to go because if they could handle the craziness of New Years Eve then they can handle just a regular night no problem. The best thing we had for dessert was the nutella and strawberries pizza you can share this with the table it’s big.
You need to walk about fifty feet into DePasquale Plaza to get to the entrance to the restaurant. The bar is a separate part of the building and is actually on Atwells Avenue. Walk past the bar to get to the restaurant entrance. The complementary valet parking came in handy on a cold evening. Great food at a reasonable price!
We had our Christmas Eve Eve dinner with friends. Food and drink were fabulous! My pumpkin ravioli was to die for!!! My fiancé loved his chicken saltimbocca! For dessert, our friends shared the Nutella pizza! SO GOOD! The atomsophere was quiet and just perfect! We felt like we were in our own home. The service was excellent! Knowledgeable and welcoming! Couldn’t have asked for a better night!
A special occasion with a very special man.... we were both very impressed with the food and service. He is from Oklahoma and first time in RI. I picked Venda Costantino's and was very pleased. They even made us an Italian Lemonade that was incredible :)
Nothing like Federal Hill...takes me back to Italy 🇮🇹 and the entertainment was perfect, nice voice... sounded like Frank Sinatra! Sang along and had a great time. Awesome memories!
Thank you, Lori
Food was great as was atmosphere, although the Mike Dutra and the Strictly Sinatra Bamd seemed louder than usual. Service was good, although our food took a while as we were a large group and the kitchen was busy. The biggest issue was that our table of nine was squeezed into a corner along a decorative concrete wall, which made it difficult to get out of our seats and made it hard for the waiter and his assistant to teach us. Otherwise, it was a beautiful Sunday night for a special family gathering. The food at Constantino's is always amazing, from the appetizers to entrees and desserts.
When ever we are in RI visiting relatives, Constantinos is on our list. We love to eat outside on the plaza, especially when there is entertainment. They post the schedule in advance, so you can go based on what music you like. The food is always good as is the service. A nice, moderately priced wine list is available. I would tag it as above average Italian.
I would've gave the service 5 stars but because I made same day reservations online the hostess did not get it. Their computer is inside and the hostess spends the entire day outside. I think they should come up with a solution for this type of situation. maybe check every so often. Otherwise the service was great. They were able to seat us in 20 min.
Bread was stale. Not their usual. Claimed they ran out of their own. This was at at 5:30 - 6pm and already out. Poor planning.
Music was too loud even at the furtest table we were sitting at. Otherwise great food and entertainment was Excellent.
I actually never write reviews, but we had such a positive experience that I felt I had too. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Constantinos on Saturday. The staff was so accommodating and kind, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. It was a beautiful day to sit outside, so we enjoyed listening to music while eating delicious food. The staff was so helpful and accommodating of my two small children (1.5 and 4.5 years old), that it really made the experience wonderful for all. Can't wait until we are back in providence and are able to go again!
We had the worst table there- near the bathroom upstairs amoung several very large parties. Noise level way to high. Didn't ven feel like staying for dessert. I would only return to the bar area when outdoor music is playing. And, for a good italian restaurant, the wine selection had more California and french wines. Big disappointment.
What a disappointing meal! We had made last minute reservations the day before, deciding to go to WaterFire. The calamari appetizer was good with a kick of pepper. The arugula salad sounded interesting, but was a bit vinegary. The main courses were the most disappointing: One member of our party had chicken and when he left half of it on the plate he told the waiter that it had been very tough and inedible. The waiter mumbled that he was sorry, but that was the end of it! My friend and I had veal dishes with very little veal, which was fortunate because the veal had an odd consistency. Two of us were pleased with their meals- a special salad of the evening with fresh tuna and the other meal was the veal parmigiana. Our waiter was attentive- perhaps too attentive, asking us at least a half dozen times if we wanted more wine when we could not have been more clear that we were fine with what we had. With so many other choices on Federal Hill, we won't return. A plus is their free valet parking.
Very enjoyable, food was excellent as was the service. Waiter was very personable and the order was taken correctly and our server expertly described the specials. Three of the six people in the party had pasta dishes - ravioli and rigatoni alla vodka. All tasted homemade and the sauces perfect. Others had different chicken dishes, which were all delicious and were very large servings. Most left with doggie bags. Slight negative might be that restaurant needs more wait staff. Needed to repeat request for water several times but wait staff was constantly on the move, up and down steps with many tables to service.
The food and service were both excellent, you really can't beat homemade pasta. However, a couple of hiccups...first they were missing two wines I was hoping to order on the "wines by the glass" menu, one of the ladies restrooms was out of order and finally I had a view into the kitchen thanks to an open door. There are better options in Providence so I doubt we'll be back.
