Costa Cucina Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The place was dirty and the service was slow. The hostess was wiping tables and pushing the food left on the tables on the floor. The bus person or helper was stacking all the dirty dishes and left over food on trays right next to our table. We had to ask for refills, salt, pepper and cheese. Over all it was a bad experience. One of us got sick after dinner.

Great place to have a casual dinner and it is not to noisy. The service from the minute you walk in to you leave is great. The food is excellent, however there were some things you use to have but not there anymore and wish you bring them back. Fried ziccuni, and the pasta alfreo with the peas.
We dine at Costa Cucina on a frequent basis. It is my favorite restaurant for veal parmigiana! I love that they place a card on your table with your waiter/waitress's name. Service is always prompt, and we have never had to wait. My only complaint is that although the tables for 2 are nice in that they are big enough to hold all your food, plates, and glasses, they are so long and placed so closely together, that talking to your dining partner is quite difficult; the only alternative is sitting at one of the round tables set up for 4 or 6.
Despite receiving a reminder from Open Table about our reservations, the restaurant had no record of reservation which indicates an problem between Open Table and the restaurant. Nevertheless we were quickly seated at the "emergency" tables which were on the outskirts of the main eating area. However, being seated there was actually quieter than the main dining room. Our waitress was attentive and we had a nice long meal that we enjoyed. The food was good but not remarkable.
The Pizza was like a frozen one out of a Box!!! bottom crust was like Leather!!...hardly any
pepperoni or cheese on the top...extremely thin. And a very Prominent Garlic flavor, with no
garlic pieces evident!!! It was terrible!!
The Lasagna again was probably frozen...my husband received his Pizza and 15 minutes later
my lasagna was delivered, piping hot from the Microwave!!...top pasta leather was tought also
like Leather, so I dragged it off...it was a tiny portion and not all that good...about 4 years ago
they had wonderful homemade Lasagna...what happened??????? no wonder there were hardly
any people in the restaurant???? we are very very disappointed with their food!!
The food was great but service was awful. We usually have two cocktails each with dinner. However, it took so long to get our first cocktail that we never had a chance to finish it! We didn't get anything to drink until we had completely finished our appetizer! We got our drinks when our main course came out. Ridiculous. We got there at 6:30pm because we were going to see a show at IP at 8. We were late to our show because service was so slow.
Dine there frequently and have "our waiter" that's assigned when I make reservations. Ty, great service as usual. Assorted Italian dishes ordered and all were up to our expectations. Except: spouse ordered steak & lobster. Pricey and medium rare was served medium. Returned and replacement steak was very rare and with no seasoning at all! No, didn't complain again. Brought it home and seasoned and seared for breakfast!
Our meal was fabulous from start to finish. Tyheem, the server, was on point for everything from timing the food to ensuring our table was cleaned promptly and drinks refilled during the night. The pizza is probably the best on the coast, and the calamari some of the best I've had.
Started our meals with an order of Calamari Fritti, which was prepared to perfection. It was followed by a house salad which was fresh and crisp. For our main course we both chose the Veal Cucina. Tender veal served on a bed of pasta, topped with shrimp and a tasty sauce. The service was great, very professional and we got a chance to chat with the chef to compliment him on the meals we had just enjoyed. If you are in Biloxi and looking for a good, casual italian meal, Costa Cucina at IP is the place to head to.
Great time! Food was good. Nice ambiance. Service was ok. The bread and tomato, oil, and vinegar mix was AMAZING! Salad was large and had a good mix. Chicken Francese was a disappointment only because the sauce was bland. Alfredo sauce was much better. Spaghetti sauce had a kick to it, so not good for kids who don't like spice. Definitely recommend overall.
SERVICE WAS VERY, VERY, VERY SLOW. GOOD THING WE WERE NOT IN A HURRY. MY BEER CAME OUT LUKE COLD, I ASKED TO PUT IT ON ICE TIL MY FOOD CAME OUT. ASK THE WAITER FOR MY BEER, I HAD TO RETRIEVE IT MY SELF. THIS GUY HAD HIS HEAD UP HIS BEHIND. EVERYTHING ABOUT WAITING ON TABLES, WAS VERY SLOW. IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE OVERWHELMED WITH ALL THE TABLES FULL. TO MEANY TABLES FOR ONE PERSON. SECOND TIME AROUND.
WILL NOT RETURN TO COSTA CUCINA.
I enjoyed my experience at Costa Cucina, however I called after I made the reservation to add that I was celebrating a birthday. I didn't want to tell the waitress out loud that we were celebrating a birthday, so it was a surprise, and they didn't acknowledge it. Very disappointed. I made sure that it was on our reservation.
