V nice Easter brunch
Lovely Easter brunch, we were there early in the day from 11:15 to 12:45. Great to see the omelet chef preparing individual omelets, lots of ingredients. Only negative was the awkwardness of utensils for fresh fruit. I would have liked a heavier gravy for the lamb instead of the au jus. The individual triangular graham cracker crumb crusted d fruit pies were exceptional, no messy pie slices to deal with. 20% gratuity added on to bill seemed excessive when servers just took care of beverages and cleared plates.
Our waitress, Amber, was outstanding. Food was very good.
When we visited this restaurant as it’s previous concept (95 Cordova) we had one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. This concept however, fell extremely flat and was very disappointing.
We had to send back the lamb twice because it was extremely over-cooked (easily medium well both times).
There’s also a side-door that isn’t the main entrance that people kept coming into and then walk out when they realized it wasn’t the main entrance and every time it shut, it slammed extremely loudly. It was very distracting and didn’t make for an enjoyable ambiance.
The service was good and the goat cheese cheesecake was amazing but the overall experience was disappointing.
Ok, but with so many options in St. Augustine you can do better for less. I think it’s more for people staying at the hotel that prefer to stay in for the evening. We tried to call 4 times during the afternoon but could not reach anyone to discuss diet preferences.
Food was very good the service considering it was not crowded on a Tuesday night was a bit slow and the waiter was not very attentive.
Brunch very expensive for the variety and quality of food. Flies buzzing around the food the entire time. Will never go again
Amazing Sunday Brunch! Will definitely visit again on our next trip!
Made a last minute reservation and they took amazing care of us! Quick to seat us, great food, and attentive service.
Excellent in every aspect.
We were here on a Thursday night. It was very quiet and the restaurant was nearly empty. We ordered the ceviche which was bland and the mussels which was also lacking flavor. The food was not bad just not that great. The steak with chimichurri sauce was the same. Not bad not great. I may give this restaurant another chance because I liked the hotel alot. But I was underwhelmed.
Food was just ok but everything else was first class! We will definitely go back but will probably try something different.
We celebrated over lunch with my daughter as she asked her group of dear friends to become her bridesmaids. Our amazing server, Amber was truly a ray of sunshine and made our time so wonderfully special. She went out of her way to accommodate our set up of gifts and poured Prosecco helping to kick off the celebration. We never waited for anything and checked on all of us continually. My daughter said she felt incredibly special and will never forget this treatment! Our food was so delicious and we all loved our desserts! We look forward to dining here again very soon! Amber and Costa Brava will forever be in our hearts!
Michael was a fabulous server. Our meal was delicious.
Both the service and food were good. Nice place for special celebration.
I would never dine there again. I am not a picky person when it comes to dinner but the flavors and spice they use are overpowering and disgusting.
Misleading and false advertising. We went there because they advertised Tapas. There are NONE.
The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the restaurant is beautiful. Our meal got off to a great start with very delicious appetizers. Unfortunately, the meal went downhill from there. We waited quite awhile for our entrees and when our server did bring the entrees, one was room temp and clearly had been sitting in the kitchen for awhile. We had ordered a chicken-based paella and a seafood paella was delivered. One of the guests in our party has a shellfish allergy, and we didn't have time to have the kitchen correct the order. We ended up switching entrees at the table so that our guest with the seafood allergy had something to eat. The seafood paella was not very warm and the seafood seemed overcooked. I don't know that we will try the restaurant again.
Food and service excellent.
Our dinner was excellent and the staff was attentive. Enjoyed all three courses.
We had wonderful service and the food was delicious but there were two large parties, one a group of business men that were so loud we couldn’t even talk we our friends who were with us, also it was hard to hear our server when she came to the table. Too bad we would love to go back but not if the noise level is the same.
Excellent food and service. Noisy group that distracted from the experience but not sure if management could have quieted them down but they didn't try
Absolutely a delicious meal. We shared the grilled octopus, a salad, and the lamb chops. All were fabulous. They sent a free dessert since it was my birthday. Best meal in St. Augustine.
Food was waaaay too salty (steak)
Sean was amazing! Food was excellent! Bottomless mimosas were a plus!
Amazing food and service! We were lucky enough to be placed in a private room since there were 8 of us. The food was amazing for all 8 of us and we cannot wait to go back. Our server was lovely and very attentive. We felt so spoiled! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great place for an evening out. Attentive service in an elegant dining room. Food was well prepared with an attractive presentation. Wonderful for a special night out or just to enjoy fine dining.
Staff was very friendly and our food was excellent we will come back again
The food as always was excellent. We had a large group and were seated in a back room that was stunningly designed. However, there were occasions when service was slower for a couple given our seating.
Costa Brava was an eating experiance from the elegant atmosphere to be a world class culinary delight. We started with Shareables of Grilled Octopus and Seafood Cake, an uncommon combination that was most played off taste sensations. Then our party savored three fabulously delicious and beautifully presented Specialities; Sea Bass, Day Boat Scallops and Mediterranean Salmon. The were superb!!
This was one of the most memorable dinning experiences in years. The whole Casa Monica experiance was above and beyond. We would return just for the incredible food and excellent service.
Our daughters after the wedding brunch day . We had several reservations and the server/s couldn’t keep up the chef either . Food brought out 2 at a time for a table of 8 but at 5-10 minutes in between. Sat for 35 min before waited on. Had to ask the server finally to keep up with drinks and refills. Had to ask for our sides we ordered along with ketchup . All that reserved had the same issue . Manager no where to be seen really. He should have been there helping the young server.
Food was good the restaurant beautiful just lack of why I reserved a table . We specifically made sure all reserved to be sure the restaurant knew people were coming between 10-10:45 was all our reservations ... Do not recommend unless you not hungry right away and be sure have 2 hours completely free .
I made reservations for a friend’s brunch the day after her wedding. Working in customer service myself I understand it gets busy or you may be understaffed that day or what not but this restaurant was horrible. I waited for a table to be cleaned off although it was almost empty for 30 some minutes. When my friends and parents sat down it took 15 minutes or so just to bring out my coffe. The food was good but also took almost 40 minutes, when the place was nearly empty. No one came to apologize about the delay the entire time. Once the food arrived it was actually really good, but not worth the wait. If I wasn’t there to celebrate I would’ve left the first 15 minutes. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.
My wife ordered an avacado toast, poached egg comes as an option but she didn't order it. When her toast came out it had egg which she didn't want and she asked for a new toast. When they came back they brought back the same toast that had the egg just scraped off (we specified we wanted a new order). We could tell because there was still bits of poached egg all over it. We had to track down our server who just dropped it off and ran to the next table to fix this problem. We also had to request that they take the order for the table next to us which got there before us and hadn't even gotten to order by the time we got our food.
If you want over priced food with sub par service then this is the place for you.
Small gathering turned into a party of 8. Costa took care of everything and made us feel so welcome. The food and service was awesome! Music too!
My better half said, “My new favorite place to eat in St. Augustine!” Need I say more?
Service was impeccable. First Martini very good, second one even better shaken.
My wedge salad was best ever, two very tender light green iceberg slices with a perfectly balanced blue cheese sauce with bacon, and more. Sliced sirloin cooked perfectly medium rare, tender, flavorful, plus baked seasoned potato slices. A special chocolate cake was a perfect sharing dish.
We’d give “ambiance” another star if there were table cloths covering the faux wood table surfaces, and if there were a better window blind blocking in-the-eye early evening sun (most seats do not have this issue).
Overall a very enjoyable pre concert dinner!
Great anniversary night. Everything besides the potatoes verse was perfecr
All courses were excellent. Service was good, but for the price point it could use a little more polish.
Ate there for valentines couple days ago. The website didn't really say that they were gonna only have the prefix menu only. Most places offer it as a option. That menu wasnt worth the price. The champagne wasnt that good. The first course should of been called a amuse not a course. For in reality only got 3 courses. The menu felt cheaply put together and not very descriptive as like the prefix menu set up. The sea bass set up wasn't good. Each plate seemed to use the same ingredients in a attempt to stretch the menu to make money. A reservation at 830, and being forced into that bad valentines menu really sucked. The cheese course at the end was just sad. Must not be busy enough around the year for them to rip off guest on valentines because they know they will be busy. Will not recommend or go again. Felt abused in a sense
