Felt like home the way they treated us. Delicious as always
Food was delicious as always. Love this restaurant!
A very good restaurant and very good overall experience. You can tell when chef's are doing the cooking and preparing. Very good bar as well.
This is one to repeat!!
Outstanding food and service. Small place with great character.
Love this place. Food and service are always top notch!
The escargot was absolutely the best I have had in years
excellent food and perfect portion sizes. Look forward to going back again.
This was our first visit to Costa Brava Bistro in fifteen months and it was better than we remembered! The food was amazing. The servers were helpful but not pushy and the room was beautiful. Definitely try the red snapper and lamb chops!
We had escargot, wine, branzino special , lamb chops & dessert! We were celebrating our 42nd anniversary and it is our favorite spot. Thanks!!
Fabulous food- Spanish tapas and grilled duck breast!
My jumbo shrimp were only 1 /2 inches and the scallops even smaller. Everything was drenched in bland butter.
Sad wine list
Portions are quite small for the dollar amount but the food is delicious. Which is why we wished there was more of it.
We were so ready to have a fabulous dinner but it turned out quite the opposite. I ordered duck and waiter recommended it cooked “medium” so as it not to be dry. What I got was “rare”, I could not eat it. My husband ordered the steak medium rare and his steak came out overcooked. So we switched entrees rather than send both our meals back. He could barely finish the duck because it was too rare even for him. The steak was dried out and tasteless. The best part of the dinner was dessert. The apple tart was delicious. We will not be going back anytime soon.
The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was friendly, welcoming, cozy and elegant. The menu has so many wonderful choices. We will definitely be back.
Always a great experience. The food was excellent, especially the gazpacho. A perfect evening, we couldn’t be happier. Kudos to the chef and staff. Just outstanding!
Each of the three courses, plus the wine, were excellent. The restaurant is charming.
We have never been disappointed at Costa Brava!
Always excellent food!
Service efficient and friendly, nice bistro atmosphere (a little dressy), and delicious food served at proper temperature.
This place became my most favorite restaurant of tapas in Houston! All dishes were amazing, especially the foie grass was best ever! Dessert was also wonderful. I always can’t eat American dessert because it’s too sweet. Their apple tart looks sweet but it’s not❤️I enjoy apple taste, crispy pie and rich caramel source!! I will absolutely be back!!
Best food and service. This is our favorite place to eat out!
Costa Bravo Bistro was excellent in all respects - food, service, ambiance!
First time and after having lived in the area the restaurant is named after, my wife and I were curious and excited to finally dine there upon the return from our vacation. We were greeted by Angeles, an owner, and we of course immediately connected via the common language. Naturally the conversation circled around food, it’s quality, flavor and preparation. We went for the seared foie gras, second best I ever had, and my wife couldn’t help going for the jamón iberico. Something she could live off. For entrees we had Branzino a La Meunière and Cochinillo. Both dishes were great in all aspects, preparation, presentation, flavor balance, just outstanding. The fish was on spot and the cochinillo (suckling pig) just melted in your mouth with a nice crust. Just the way one would want it. Long story short, this place made our repeat list and I can’t wait to return. Service was knowledgeable, super friendly, attentative and always there when needed. Wonderful experience. Thank you Angeles.
Very nice restaurant. Romantic. Wine list is fairly priced.
Consistently the best restaurant in Bellaire. We have never been disappointed.
Your restaurant and food is lovely. We have always looked forward to coming here. However, this visit was not a good one because the service was so poor that it affected our ability to enjoy our dinner. For an expensive meal as we had with delicious food, it was too bad that we were not able to get the attention of our waiter for most of the evening. We asked for olives FIVE times and each time the waiter said they were coming. We finally found a bus boy who got them for us. Similarly, we asked for water numerous times but did not receive it, having to get up from our table several times to try to find anyone who could get us a simple glass of water. We asked for olive oil and again, had to find another person (not our waiter) who eventually brought it to us. Same with getting salt and pepper. It was truly unbelievable to literally be forgotten and not be able to get the simplest thing in a nice restaurant. We got up no less than 6 times looking for our waiter and could not find him any of those times. When he was close by waiting on other tables in our vicinity, we could not catch his attention either as he turned and left as we tried to wave him town. We had brought out of town visitors to what we described as a lovely spot and were embarrassed by not being able to be served and having to constantly be in search of our waiter. It really did ruin the atmosphere and our experience. With regard to the question below, I would recommend the restaurant, but only if management fixes the service problem.
Once again, the food and wine were excellent. Awesome.
Always a wonderful experience. The wine dinners are spectacular.
We Loved the wine dinner! Will definitely be back. The food was spectacular and the wine parings just perfect.
Everything was perfect. We had the red fish and the salmon and house salad and apple tart. The fish was cooked to our specifications and very delicious. The apple tart was very good. The ambiance was pleasant and soothing.
We have been here many times and have never been disappointed
It had been 3-4 yrs since we last visited Costa Brava. The new restaurant is similar in layout to the original but much more inviting and warm. They have stepped up the menu offerings as well, moving it from good American Style to now offering more Gourmet items in addition to some old favorites. We had the Salmon, Redfish and Lamb Chops this evening with starters of Escargot, Caesar Style salad and Dinner Salad, all fresh and delicious. Honorable mention to the Salmon and Lamb Chops that were beautifully prepared to perfection.
I am just sorry we waited so long to revisit Costa Brava, this truly is a neighborhood Jem.
The restaurant is nice and has a nice menu but the food was pretty standard, and service was slow and inattentive towards us. We had expected more considering the reviews and pricing but felt a bit disappointed.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere, very welcoming, and relaxed.
We arrived at Costa Brava at the exact time of our reservation and were promptly greeted by the hostess, who was very sweet and said, "You must be our party of 5 reservation at 6pm!" We were seated right away at a quiet table in the corner, and were greeted by our server. I don't recall him giving us his name, but he was extremely friendly and gave us the wine and cocktail menus. After giving us a few moments to look them over, he took our drink orders and they were brought to us very quickly. My date and I both ordered the Sangria, and it was the best I have ever had. At $12 each, they were a bit steep, but I knew the restaurant wasn't cheap going in, so I wasn't surprised. We were given the main menus afterwards, and after letting us know the specials and giving us a few minutes to look over those menus, I ordered the Piquillo Peppers as an appetizer and my date and I settled on the Rabbit Linguine and the Paella as entrees. The peppers were creamy and delicious, the Rabbit was to die for, and my date (whose mother is actually from Spain) said the Paella was fantastic. He finished the entire plate! We were both too full for dessert, unfortunately. Our bill came out to $112 after tax, but before tip. I feel like it was worth it, especially when you factor in the level of service, ambience, and food. I wouldn't mind going back, and would definitely recommend Costa Brava to anyone looking for a great evening!
We have dined at Costa Bravo for years... The service is excellent and the food is delicious!! Highly recommend!!
This is our go-to place for special dinners. The food is always good and fresh, and the service is always top-notch.
Costa Brava never fails to deliver. Kitty and Angela are the best!
Was a lovely evening and food was excellent. Our server was aloof and uninterested. I was happy to see the new surroundings and hope for all success. Just think waitstaff could be much more gracious.
