Very nice ambience and wonderful food! They made us feel special for our weddin anniversary:)
We go to Costa Brava every year for my birthday. My husband and my two grown children, so it is the four of,us. My husband, daughter and I were satisfied with our dinners. However, my son did not like his dinner at all. Overall, the food is very good and reminds me of the Spanish food I ate when I lived in Spain.
As always this restaurant never disappoints. Great food, friendly, good drinks...
Will continue to go to Costa Brava .
Always delicious. Wonderful experience. Quit, yet fun.
always wonderful--great food and wine and exceptional service
We had a great time, the steak was extremely tender and delicious. Will go back again.
Great spot and food. Quiet at lunch loud at dinner. But good
Worth the 30-minute drive! I had the paella which was better than many that I had in Spain. Husband had the lamb chops, requested medium but came out raw. When we pointed out the problem, the server apologized and came back with perfectly cooked and delicious ones. A little problem finding a parking space but I understand there's additional parking along the side street.
One of the best restaurants in Houston
First time to restaurant, picked by a friend. Very pleasantly surprised. Hubby and I each tried the 3-course lunch. The soup and salad were both very good. The shrimp and scallop with risotto, and the filet were both excellent. The desserts were ok but not as much to our taste. The arroz con leche was more middle eastern in flavor (rose water). The chocolate crepe was interesting. Well done but just not to our taste. Its a great value at $25 each!
This place is outstanding. The house salad is fabulous. I have rabbit and it was the best.
Found the restaurant when looking online for trips to the Costa Brava. Thought we would give it a try and were very happy with the find. Service was excellent, atmosphere very pleasant and the food was very good. I know some will say, gaspacho is gaspacho but they made a delicious soup. Would be happy going for lunch and just having that.
Very pleasant dinner. We will be back.
Always a 5/5 place. It’s been two years since I’ve been able to come back here, and I clearly waited too long.
Nice atmosphere, delicious food, terrific service!
I love this restaurant for so many reasons. The food, ambiance and service are very good. It is also one of the very few restaurants that are quiet and allows me to have a conversation without screaming.
Great food as always. I made the mistake of thinking that our reservation was 6:30 & not 6:15, so almost did not get seated. I appreciate the owner being accommodating in seating us, although we were 20 minutes late.
Very nice. Very helpful staff and friendly.
Superior food and excellent polite and knowledgeable service.
My first visit here and really enjoyed it. Good well prepared , nice wine list and great friendly service. Will be back!
Great service, food and experience!! Love coming here.
As always, the food was superb with new items on the menu.
The service is impeccable.
Our favorite restaurant
Great food but terrible service. I think the turnover in wait staff is the Robles. Our waiter was incompetent
We had dinner on a quiet Monday night. Warm greeting and nice table. Lisa ordered the seared scallop and shrimp risotto and I had the Cochinillo. We decided to split the escargot, which was a good thing because it was one of the best bites in Houston. Served on and with a crispy baguette the escargots are sauteed in a wine/butter/garlic sauce. It was so good we asked for the recipe. The chef, from Spain, came out, apologized for his English and explained how to make it in a most pleasant manner. How often does that happen? Lisa's shrimp/scallop risotto looked excellent (she said it was), and my cochinillo was impeccably prepared. So many chefs try to serve suckling pig and most times you can wear out your jaw chewing the skin. Not here. The skin was wafer thin, crisp and had a tasty rub on it. It was cooked for 12 hours, which rendered the fat and yielded the crispy skin and tender meat. Served with a simple sauce and a side bowl of bean soup. It was a special so call ahead if this is what you're looking for. We shared a bottle of Emeritus Pinot which was served slightly chilled, another nice touch often overlooked in Houston where wine often tastes like it had been stored in the kitchen. The wine was excellent, if slightly over-priced. This is a restaurant label and you can't get it at Spec's. There's a fairly good Spanish wine selection but the prices rose steeply. The value rating reflects this little ding but don't be put off by it. The place is quite special.
A neighborhood gem!
The food is exceptional and creative in preparation; service is excellent; the setting is intimate and conducive to quiet conversation.
We’re done at Costa Brava bistro multiple times and always we had great food great service and great wine selection, is a hidden gem that I’m glad it’s not that well-known, otherwise it would be full to the brim all the time.
Excellent food and service. I have taken many people to this restaurant and no one has ever been disappointed.
Elegant food and decor with outstanding service. Had fixed price lunch and the food was very good.
Great food and service. We had red snapper and salmon. We loved them both. Also the leek soup is outstanding.
Really great food, excellent service. Costa Brava never disappoints. Lamb chops, snapper and lobster (special) are our favorites. Make sure to save room for the chocolate bread pudding.
Interesting...the host went by every table, took the time to visit with every single one, but ours. Don’t know what it was about us, but he avoided us. He spoke to both tables to the side of us, around us, again, but us. Better places for Spanish food in town.
Food was so good, service was the best. Can’t stop gushing this is my favorite restaurant
This place has become a new favorite for us without having to drive into town. The food is tasty and flavored well. The wines have been great.
So far we have not been disappointed by the menu.
It is like a small piece of Europe fell into Bellaire. Everything is good, we were sorry to miss the soft shell crabs.
We went for lunch with a friend to discuss some business matters. There were very few tables filled, so it was very quiet - perfect for discussing issues. Each of us had outstanding lunches - i’m particularly fond of their unusual gazpacho & the cegetable/pesto linguini w/Shrimp at it was superb!
This is my favorite restaurant in Houston. The food is always exceptional and the service is caring and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and had a great time. The lamb chops were perfect as was the stuffed salmon. The wine recommended by Charlie fit with the dinner very well. We will be back as often as we can.
Quaint little place. The whole menu looked good so was tough to make a choice! Even had good French onion soup. Enjoyed our meal!
Service, attention , and food were amazing. We will definitely go back.
