Cosmopolitan - Telluride Ratings and Reviews
Food, service, ambiance and setting were all delightful. We had two starters and two sushi rolls with local brews. Told our server that we found the food unusual and delicious. He seemed genuinely pleased. Can’t comment on regular entrees. Ah, but can attest to the excellence of the dessert we shared. Fun place with seriously good food.
This was our first time at this restaurant; the food was excellent. I thought the place was a bit noisier from nearby tables than I like - their voices really carried. Our table for 2 was also very unsteady - it needed more than a matchbook under one of the legs. We had several wild upsets during the meal. I don't like to feel anxious when I'm eating.
All in all, I'd probably not go here often. I prefer a quieter place.
Found the perfect place after a long drive our first night in town.
Menu not huge, but to be honest, several of us struggled on what to order as everything sounded super. Tiffen our waitress was quite efficient and guided us to right decisions.
Hits: chantrell leek soup, all 3 sushis we had, lobster corn dog, chopped salad, halibut.
Yum, yum, yum.
Fair sized drinks
Excellent reception/bar service by Cole. Anniversary dinner was excellent.
Food was prepared to our request. We have never been disappointed at this
fine restuarant and will always return for comfortable service and well
prepared selections. One of our Telluride favorites.
After we sat down, it was 20+ minute before anyone acknowledged us, gave us water or asked if we wanted any bread. This is not an auspicious start. However, we've been to this most excellent restaurant many times and were willing to be patient enough for things to improve, which they did.
Our waiter, Will, was not the most attentive waiter (he had to be flagged down numerous times), but he was decently knowledgeable about the dishes and wine. (However, he did attempt to "upsell"' me a bottle of wine that was $40 more expensive than a wine we knew and loved...)
The food did not disappoint whatsoever. We split the lobster corn dogs and they were delicious, light and fluffy. I can't wait to have them again. The entrees, duck breast and the salmon were very good. The dessert, the much loved donuts (beignets) and coffee, was exquisite as usual.
We will definitely be returning to give Cosmo a chance to bring it's A-game.
We came in here from a Yelp search and a look at the seasonal menu. Hostess greeted us warmly and showed us to our window table. The server greeted us warmly, described specials and collected out cocktail orders. The manager was helping servers get food out then stopped by our table and, wait for it...greeted us warmly. There were delicious vegan options for my hot date as well as an excellent Surf & Turf for myself. Unfortunately, we had to skip dessert but vowed to return to get a piece of the Blueberry Pie with Sour Cream Ice Cream. True to our word we retuned for dessert the following evening. Much to our liking we were again greeted warmly by the hostess, servers, bartenders and manager. The food was excellent but it's the service that makes us return.
We heard great things but were underwhelmed. The appetizers were quite good, but we both weren't thrilled with the cocktails or the main course. The service was slow. Too pricey for the expereince. So many other good restaurants in Telluride. We won't return.
Staff was on point, great service. Our group of five enjoyed the Octopus and "Poke" salmon as starters. Dinner was fresh and well prepared. Surf and Turf was perfectly finished, and the Duck and Scallops were also nicely cooked. Braised Short ribs also stood out as a choice meal. Others in our party enjoyed salads as a main course. We had a wonderful evening with good friends, and an attentive staff taking care of every need.
